This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials on tangent topic to the circle that is able to facilitate junior high school students through a scientific approach. This research produced teaching materials so-called students' worksheets that can facilitate students. The research used the design research which includes: (1) preliminary design, in this phase the researchers conducted a theory study which followed up by making a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT); (2) experiment, in this phase, the existing design is tested to the students to investigate the learning process that related to the process of developing students' thinking in situations and learning atmosphere that formed from HLT; (3) retrospective analysis, in this phase, the researchers compare the HLT with the actual student learning process. The results show that the teaching materials that have been developed by considering obstacle learning and preliminary studies are able to facilitate students as a source of support for learning activities.

This research is based on the absence of teaching materials about the concept of geometry that is able to facilitate the students connecting the culture, especially tembe nggoli which is one of the traditional woven cloth of mbojo-NTB with the concept of mathematics. Ethnomathematics is a mathematical bridge with culture, and ethnography recognizes the different ways of doing mathematics in community activities. The result of this study is to produce teaching materials in the form of students' worksheets. The method used is design research which includes: (1) preliminary design, in this phase is made Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT); (2) experiments, in this phase existing designs are tested to students; (3) retrospective analysis, in this phase the researchers compare the HLT with the actual student learning process. The results of this research showed that tasks which were presented in teaching materials by considering learning obstacle and preliminary study able to facilitate students to define the properties of triangles based on their angle.

The background of this research is the learning obstacle on the material of the VII grade MTs algebraic operating material. This study aims to describe how the design of didactic teaching materials based on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students in class VII. Subjects in this study were students of MTs PUI Majalengka, 28 students of class VII A to identify learning obstacles and 10 students of class VII A were used as samples for the implementation of teaching materials. The research carried out was a didactic design research consisting of three stages, namely: (1) didactic situation analysis prior to learning in the form of a Didactic Design Hypothesis including ADP, (2) methadactic analysis, and (3) retrosfective analysis. How to collect data by tests, validation of teaching materials, and student questionnaire responses. The results showed that there were three types of obstacle learning. The validation results obtained can be concluded that teaching materials based on students' mathematical connection abilities can be used in learning algebraic form operations. The implementation of this didactic design is in accordance with predictions so that the design of this teaching material can be used as an alternative design of learning algebraic operations learning.

This study aims to describe the application of meaning learning model in life organizational system material on learning feasibility, student activities, student responses, student learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and attitudes), and development character of discipline and responsibility. Subjects of the research are seventh grade students of SMP 2 Tanah Grogot, Paser district of East Kalimantan academic year 2014/2015. This is Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-test-Post Test Design research. Methods of collecting data in this research are observation, testing, and questionnaires. Technique of data analysis is using descriptive quantitative analysis. Based on the data analysis of the research obtain some findings:  a) developed learning materials are generally valid and well categorized, b) observation of study feasibility is well categorized, c) students’ activity during the learning is quite active, d) students’ response to all learning components are good and positive, e) students learning outcomes on knowledge has increased which can be seen from both individual learning outcomes, skill and attitude learning outcome after the teaching learning process are well done, f) based on the observation, discipline and responsibility character during the teaching learning process has increased well. It is concluded that the application of meaning learning models purport to improve learning outcomes, grow the discipline and responsibility character on seventh grade of junior high school students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model  pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.  Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa, hasil belajar siswa (pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap) dan pengembangan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Tanah Grogot Kab. Paser Kalimantan Timur tahun ajaran 2014/2015.  Jenis penelitian  Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan a) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum valid dan berkategori baik, b)  keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik, c) aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran cukup aktif, d)  respon siswa terhadap seluruh komponen pembelajaran baik dan positif,  e)  hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar secara individual, hasil belajar aspek keterampilan dan hasil belajar aspek sikap  setelah mengikuti pembelajaran seluruh siswa tuntas, f)  pengamatan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab selama proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan predikat baik. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan menumbuhkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa SMP kelas VII.

In the last few decades, the development of mobile phone is rapidly growing and brings many changes in human life. Mobile phones nowadays extend their capabilities into all aspects in human life, including teaching and learning process. Therefore, this research aims at knowing what smartphone applications are frequently used by the students and investigating the contributions of those applications in students’ learning activities. This research uses a qualitative case study in order to obtain a deep analysis. The subjects of this research are twenty students of junior high school in Kebumen who are chosen based on some criteria. Additionally, the data of this research were obtained using questionnaire and interview. Based on the finding, the smartphone applications which are most frequently used by the students to support their learning activities are social media (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter), Google chrome, music player, offline dictionary, YouTube, and English exercise application from play store. Last but not least, all the students agree that smartphone applications give positive contributions to their learning process. The contributions of those applications in the students’ learning activities are helping the students in finding more sources of authentic English materials; finding more exercise in grammar, reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills; improving students’ vocabulary, grammar, listening, and speaking skill.

This study aims to develop mathematics learning based on a scientific approach to support learning mathematics in understanding mathematical concepts. This research method is to use research and development with 4D models. The 4D model consists of four steps: determining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects of this study were junior high school students with an average age of 12 years. The instrument used is the feasibility aspect of the learning media. The technique used is seen from the feasibility of teaching material media. The results showed that the visual element was 87.50%, which means that this mathematics teaching material has an excellent visualization. The part of software engineering is 94.44%, which means that mathematics teaching materials are elementary to use and access. The implementation aspect is 83.33%, which means that mathematics teaching materials can be alternative support for increasing student motivation and self-regulation. The result for content accuracy is 87.5%, which means that mathematics teaching materials have perfect content accuracy. Then for the presentation aspect is 70.83% included in both categories. The evaluation aspect is 77.78%, which means the evaluation instruments in mathematics teaching materials are varied and quite tricky. The language used is 91.67%, which means the language used in mathematics teaching materials is very communicative, easy to understand, and students' cognitive development. The teaching material is suitable for mathematics learning for junior high school students based on the results obtained.

The 2013 curriculum focuses on active learning by scientific approach. Students are expected to be able to construct an understanding of the subject matter through scientific steps, namely observing, asking questions, gathering information, associating and communicating. This is inseparable from the teaching materials used in the learning process. Based on this, this research was conducted to develop a science module based on a scientific approach on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students. This type of research is research and development (R and D) using the Plomp development model which consists of the preliminary research stage, the development or prototyping phase and the assessment phase. The initial investigation stage includes curriculum analysis, problem analysis and learning, and analysis of teaching materials. The development stage includes the design and development of a prototype, and the assessment stage includes practicality and effectiveness testing. However, in conducting research in the current Covid-19 pandemic season, researchers have limited it to the stage of developing prototypes that are validated by experts (expert validity). The research data is primary data obtained from a validity questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. Based on the research that has been done, a valid science module based on a scientific approach has been produced on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students with a validity value of 95.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that the science module based on the scientific approach developed by the researcher has very valid criteria.

One of the Indonesian government’s efforts to improve the quality of education is by changing the curriculum. Currently the Curriculum 2013 is being implemented in schools. Implementation of Curriculum 2013 is require teaching materials in accordance with the characteristics of the students, utilizing computer technology facilities, and contains the components of the scientific approach. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in accordance with the Curriculum 2013. In this research we developed the Interactive Teaching Materials based on Scientific Approach (ITMSA). The research method is research and development (R&D) which consist of ten steps. The product design validation performed by multimedia, mathematics, and mathematics education expert involving lecturers and mathematics teacher. Utility testing of product conducted on junior high school students in Serang City, Banten Province, Indonesia. Based on research known that the ITMSA obtained a total score 85,30% from mathematics expert, 87,80% from mathematics education expert, 83,60% from multimedia expert, and 89,40% from students. In addition, students mathematical concept understanding who learn by using ITMSA better than student who learn without ITMSA. From these results concluded that the ITMSA is considered feasible and can be used in mathematics teaching in schools.

The purpose of this developmental research was to develop a scientific approach based science worksheet on the dynamic electrical material topic for ninth-grade junior high school students.  The worksheet were developed based on scientific approach. The stages include:  observing, asking questions, gathering information, processing information, and communicating. The development model used is the 4-D Model consists of 4 stages: define,  design, develop, and desimanate. The results of the validation, a small and large group trials indicated that the used of the scientific approach based science worksheet was appropriate for use. Thus, the developed worksheets can be used in the process of learning for Junior high school science students. Keywords : Worksheet , Scientific approach
