An Evaluation of the Job Satisfaction Levels of Turkish Provincial Football Referees

This study was conducted in order to determine the job satisfaction levels of provincial referees on the basis of 9 demographic variables. The study sample consisted of 83 provincial referees working in Kahramanmaras, Adana, and Osmaniye provinces of Turkey. The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ; Dawis, Weiss, England, & Lofquist, 1967) was used to identify job satisfaction levels. While a statistically significant difference was found between provincial referees in terms of age, foreign language level, income level, and other-than-refereeing jobs and term (p < 0.05); no statistically significant difference was found between the provincial referees in terms of marital status, education level, and sports background (p < 0.05). It is recommended that mental and psychological needs of referees be met to ensure that they can perform well. Moreover, management and senior colleagues should support younger and less experienced referees.

Background and Aim: This study seeks to examine whether there is a difference between the level of relationship between teachers' individual innovativeness perceptions and their life satisfaction and whether there is a difference in terms of some demographic variables during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The research is a quantitative study and was carried out in relational screening model. The sample of the study consists of 335 teachers working in schools affiliated to the Kahramanmaras Central District National Education Directorates. The data of the research was analysed using the Jamovi 1.6.12 statistical software program. Results and Conclusion:: As a result of the research, it was seen that the majority of the teachers were in the questioning and pioneering groups based on the scores of the individual innovativeness scale,. Significant differences were found in the scores of the participants' individual innovativeness scale sub-dimensions in terms of gender, marital status, branch, and sports status. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in life satisfaction scale scores in terms of gender, marital status, and branch variables (p>0.05); It was found that there was a significant difference in terms of the variable of doing sports (p>0.05); In addition, no significant relationship was found between the sub-dimensions of resistance to change, opinion leadership, openness to experience, and risk-taking and life satisfaction. The research aims to investigate the relationship between organizational Health and Job satisfaction beside and examine how a job satisfaction is affected by the state of health in an organization.The population includes (80) employees who work in different areas of Baghdad Mayoralty. Questionnaire form was used to collect a required data from sample of research. This questionnaire consists of three parts, First part concern with individual data while the second used to measure the level of health in a survey organization depending on (Karaguzel, 2012) characteristics' that involve (21) statements and the last part measured the degree of Job satisfaction based on (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire-short form) which contain (20) phrases. The questionnaire upon distributed to respondents was translated to Arabic language. So, Acronbach's test using SPSS program for social science to determine the reliability of this instrument that it indicated to the respective value. As well as the statistical results were confirmed the research hypothesizes that refer to strong and significantly as such influence between organizational health and job satisfaction.

Questionnaires were completed by 91 respondents employed by two human services agencies: 63 employees of a stable (no layoffs in eight years) organization, and 28 employees of a nonstable organization (which had experienced recent layoffs, and in which many employees were supported by grant funding which varied from year to year). The questionnaire included respondents' perceptions of job security and satisfaction with pay (measured with subscales of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire), over-all job satisfaction (measured with the Porter Need Satisfaction Questionnaire), and additional measures of intention to turnover, absenteeism, productivity, etc. A 2 (agency) × 2 (high/low security) multivariate analysis of variance indicated that ratings of job insecurity were significantly related to job dissatisfaction in the agency perceived as nonstable but not in the agency perceived as stable. In both agencies, ratings of turnover intentions and pessimism about the future of the agency were higher among employees who reported feelings of insecurity. There were no differences in perceived absenteeism or productivity between employees of the two agencies.

Emotional Labor theory of Hochschild, 1983 and Grandey, (2002, 2015 & 2017) provided as basis of current research that gives the regulation of emotions at workplace categorized the main two dimensions of EL as Surface Acting (SA) and Deep Acting level of the school leaders. Self developed Emotional Labor Measurement Scale for School Leaders (ELMS-SL) was used to measure the EL level of the public sector school leaders. Multi stage sampling technique was used to select the sample of 376 (male=194, 52% and females=182, 48%) school leaders working in public sector secondary schools of 19 district of Punjab province. The core objective of the research was to measure the EL level and contribution of demographic variables (gender, mode of job induction, marital status and work experience) towards the emotional regulation status through suppression of emotions and modification of feeling. To measure the EL level of public sector school leaders, data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, as well as t-tests, and ANOVA tests. The results revealed that public sector school leaders are practicing emotional labor. EL practices between male and female were significant difference, whereas mode of induction, marital status and job experience were found non-significant differences on EL.Key words: Emotional Labor, Surface Acting, Deep Acting, School Leaders, Demographic variables

Research has suggested a relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction. This paper examines this relationship in the context of a developing country, viz., South Africa. The objective of the paper is to assess the relationship between the two variables as well as the influence of biographical variables on leadership style and job satisfaction. The survey was based on the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire and the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire. The results suggest a significant correlation between the three leadership styles, viz., transformational leadership, transactional leadership and laissez-faire leadership, and job satisfaction. There were no significant differences between the biographical variables and the three leadership styles.

Incentives either tangible or intangible are the most important or convenient resources that became the basis of workers satisfaction with their jobs. The study attempts to explore the relationship between tangible or intangible incentives and job satisfaction among workers. To achieve the objective, a sample of 100 workers were selected from Pakistan Ordinance Factory, Wah Cantt, Pakistan on basis of purposive sampling technique. Data is collected through the use of reward system questionnaire and Minnesota Satisfaction questionnaire. Statistical Package for social sciences (version, 21) was used for the analyses of data. Results showed that both tangible or intangible incentives are positively related to job satisfaction among workers. Thus, at work settings the rise in the use of incentives is associated with high job satisfaction.

The notion of portability of constructs measured by psychometric instruments is introduced. Psychometric investigations by means of Principal Components Analyses, Item Analyses and calculation of Cronbach Alpha on the items of two generally used instruments are described. The results indicate that the constructs measured by the Kanungo Job Involvement Questionnaire and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire as well as the instruments themselves seem to be robust as far as portability between the Unites States of America and South Africa is concerned.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on ascertaining whether and how groups based on demographic variables (age, gender, education level, and family income) differs for dimensions of customer experience quality in the Indian retail store context. Design/methodology/approach A 23 items instrument was distributed to retail store customers. Demographic variables were age, gender, education level, and family income. Finally, the analysis was performed on 346 responses. ANOVA test was performed to find out the significant difference between the groups based on demographic variables with respect to components of customer experience quality in the Indian retail store context. Findings Analysis revealed that some categories of demographic variables differ with respect to dimensions of customer experience quality in the Indian retail store context. Originality/value Authors believe that this is the first study, which applies EXQ model in India retail context.

Leadership style is not a novel concept and has been discussed widely all over the world. With the acceleration of globalization, organizations have to adapt to new paradigms or approaches of leadership. Therefore, it is important to understand leadership preference among individuals to ensure their willingness to perform their job. Specifically, this study was conducted to identify the relationship between gender, age, education level and working experience and leadership preference. This study intends to understand the leadership preference among Sabah communities which involve three major ethnic groups in Sabah namely Malay-Brunei, Bajau and Kadazan-Dusun. The sample of this research was selected based on purposive convenient sampling whereby all respondents are located in Kota Kinabalu. A questionnaire was administered for data collection with a sample of two hundred and nineteen employees from both the public and the private sectors. The data was analyzed using one way ANOVA and the results showed that the three major ethnic groups in Sabah appear to have similar leadership preference. In addition, no significant difference was found between leadership preferences and the demographic variables.
