This paper proposes a model for optimizing the ferry traffic and the traffic demand at the macroscopic level by using information technology (IT) and the existing tourist amenities as a key element for achieving harmonization of supply and demand, i.e. optimization of the assessed system. Proposed approach differs from the other/present models because it includes the application of the macroscopic, instead of the microscopic (local) approach, i.e. harmonization of the ferry infrastructure demand from the place of its origin (road border crossings) to the place of its operation, i.e. the ferry infrastructure, and not solely in particular segments of the ferry infrastructure.

Subject. The article addresses the prospective development of the civil shipbuilding sector in Russia. It considers digitalization of design, construction and production as a key driver of increasing the labor productivity at enterprises and organizations of the industry. Objectives. The aim is to present a conceptual model of a digital network-centric data management system for calculating the cost of works (services) performed (provided) by design organizations in the national civil shipbuilding, as a promising tool to improve the efficiency of cost estimation in the industry. Methods. We employ generally accepted methods of scientific knowledge, like analysis, synthesis, formalization and concretization, composition and decomposition, verification and expert evaluation. Results. We formulated and described a model of digital network-centric data management system. It consists of two elements, i.e. a centralized server management system for a cluster database and a client complex. The latter contains a personal calculation module, which is customizable for the needs of the organization, and a local (personal) database. Conclusions. If implemented, the presented conceptual model will enable a new level quality, speed, and accuracy of cost estimates of designed objects, as well as more effective accumulation and processing of relevant data for management decisions.

In modern conditions of information technology development, the business management regime has changed. The sphere of management has expanded from internal to external. The innovation model of corporate Finance management must also adapt to this change. In an era of the global implementation of information systems and management tools, the innovation of the corporate financial management regime is not only in the rational planning and use of the company’s own resources but also in the inclusion of various categories of social resources necessary for the company’s operations in the category of corporate financial management and delivery to the enterprise. The purpose of the article is to consider the conceptual model of the financial management system of enterprises using modern information technologies. In the study, the author used a systematic approach to the enterprise’s financial management and methods of economic and deterministic factor analysis, synthesis, and grouping as well.

This chapter examines the evolution and efficacy of Montgomery County's growth policy as a technique for staging growth in concert with the expansion of public facilities and in light of concerns for environmental, social, and economic sustainability. It first provides a background on the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance (APFO), adopted with the aim of preventing “premature” development anywhere, before discussing the Montgomery County Planning Board's three reports that developed a conceptual model for growth management and perfected an approach to using growth forecasts to assess risks of alternative levels of public investment aimed at sustaining acceptable levels of service. It also discusses the Board's next two reports, which laid the foundation of the growth management system that endured for the next thirty years. The chapter concludes with an analysis of the the link between Montgomery's planning politics and growth policy.

The knowledge is a valuable resource in an organization .In this sense, the networks, as a strategy for the sharing of knowledge, can be one of the most important assets that an organization can adopt. Different organizations, to establish relationships with other organizations, have the opportunity to promote and share the knowledge that, strategically, serves as a mechanism for productivity and organizational effectiveness. The objective of this article is to develop a theoretical support that combines different concepts and elements to explain and understand the phenomenon of strategic alliances in organizations, as a mechanism for sharing of knowledge. We also propose a conceptual model of analysis both within and between organizations, in order to emphasize importance of knowledge management system to foment interorganizational networks and for the sharing of organizational knowledge.
