AbstractThere has been a strong need for simulation environments that are capable of modeling deep interdependencies between complex systems encountered during natural hazards, such as the interactions and coupled effects between civil infrastructure systems response, human behavior, and social policies, for improved community resilience. Coupling such complex components with an integrated simulation requires continuous data exchange between different simulators simulating separate models during the entire simulation process. This can be implemented by means of distributed simulation platforms or data passing tools. In order to provide a systematic reference for simulation tool choice and facilitating the development of compatible distributed simulators for deep interdependent study in the context of natural hazards, this article focuses on generic tools suitable for integration of simulators from different fields but not the platforms that are mainly used in some specific fields. With this aim, the article provides a comprehensive review of the most commonly used generic distributed simulation platforms (Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA), and Distributed Data Services (DDS)) and data passing tools (Robot Operation System (ROS) and Lightweight Communication and Marshalling (LCM)) and compares their advantages and disadvantages. Three specific limitations in existing platforms are identified from the perspective of natural hazard simulation. For mitigating the identified limitations, two platform design recommendations are provided, namely message exchange wrappers and hybrid communication, to help improve data passing capabilities in existing solutions and provide some guidance for the design of a new domain-specific distributed simulation framework.

An Industrial firewall is a system used to supervise and regulate traffic to and from a network for the purpose of securing appliances on a network. It analyzes the data passing through it to an already defined surveillance criteria or protocols, discarding data that does not meet the protocol’s requirements. In effect, it is a filter preventing undesirable network traffic and selectively limiting the type of transmission that occurs between a secured transmission line. In this research paper a SCADA based Firewall is implemented for protection of the data transmission to a PLC, against external hacking devices. This firewall is virtually exposed to several external hackers and the degree of vulnerability is carefully studied, in order to develop an ideal Firewall.

A service-oriented architecture is combination of services having different platforms for implementation. These services are combined, used by, and communicate with each other. The communication is done by massage or data passing. Communication is done by interacting with each other based on different platforms. Chronic diseases are long-term illness that require observation with heavy treatments by the doctors and special attention by family members. Chronic diseases are Alzheimer's disease, Addiction, Autoimmune diseases, Blindness, Rheumatoid arthritis, Chronic renal failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Deafness and hearing impairment, Hypertension, Mental illness, Thyroid disease, Blood Pressure abnormalities.

Great advancements made on information and network technologies have brought on much activity on the Internet. Traditional methods of trading and communication are so revolutionized that everything is quasi-online. Amidst the rush to be online emerge the urgent need to protect the massive volumes of data passing through the Internet daily. A highly dependable and secure Internet environment is therefore of utmost importance.

A spatially-constrained clustering algorithm is presented in this paper. This algorithm is a distributed clustering approach to fine-tune the optimal distances between agents of the system to strengthen the data passing among them using a set of spatial constraints. In fact, this method will increase interconnectivity among agents and clusters, leading to improvement of the overall communicative functionality of the multi-robot system. This strategy will lead to the establishment of loosely-coupled connections among the clusters. These implicit interconnections will mobilize the clusters to receive and transmit information within the multi-agent system. In other words, this algorithm classifies each agent into the clusters with the lowest cost of local communication with its peers. This research demonstrates that the presented decentralized method will actually boost the communicative agility of the swarm by probabilistic proof of the acquired optimality. Hence, the common assumption regarding the full-knowledge of the agents’ primary locations has been fully relaxed compared to former methods. Consequently, the algorithm’s reliability and efficiency is confirmed. Furthermore, the method’s efficacy in passing information will improve the functionality of higher-level swarm operations, such as task assignment and swarm flocking. Analytical investigations and simulated accomplishments, corresponding to highly-populated swarms, prove the claimed efficiency and coherence.

The purpose of this study was to study the achievement of 108 call centers in providing information. This study uses a type of research Descriptive research using qualitative data collected rather than data, passing data that can be obtained from observations, field records and interviews. the results of the study regarding Call Center Performance 108 in providing information. Call Center 108 has an important role for its users to get telephone numbers throughout Indonesia and information about Telkom services, because Call Center 108 is the only Telkom telephone number information service provider in Indonesia. the call center agent's 108 performance is quite good, this can be seen from the average agent performance table, but there are still some agents who have not yet obtained the predetermined value which is 100 that has been determined in the service parameters of PT. Infomedia Nusantara.

Abstract An Euler method for computing compressible hovering rotor flows is described. The equations are solved using an upwind finite-volume method in a blade-fixed rotating co-ordinate system, so that hover is a steady problem. Transfinite interpolation, along with a periodic transformation, is used to generate grids for the periodic domain. Computation of these flows to an acceptable accuracy requires fine grids, and a long integration time for the wake to develop, resulting in excessive run times on a single processor. Hence, the method is developed as a multiblock code in a parallel environment, and various aspects of data passing and communication between processors have been considered. It is shown that a considerable increase in performance is available from the use of non-blocking and asynchronous communication. It is also demonstrated that increased performance may be available by balancing the residual levels rather than the number of cells on each processor.
