The Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak has affected all business sectors. The state of emergency, limited movement order and social distancing are amongst the preemptive efforts of the Japanese government to safeguard public health. While recognizing the importance of preventing the immense spread of the virus, there are certain unexplored impacts of the movement control measure on the SMEs in Japan. The objective is to scrutinize the repercussions of the Covid-19 on SMEs in Japan. The study applies a qualitative approach through the analysis of the secondary data from the internet, as well as from the Japanese official government and business association. this article intends to scrutinize the actual implications of the Japanese’s state of emergency on SMEs businesses and to identify the survival strategies of the business. Thus, this study differs from other methods such as other quick online surveys that commonly conducted by market surveys. Our findings contribute towards the actual challenges faced by the SMEs during the pandemic crisis.

Murabaha Financing have potentially lower risk than other financing product. It chosen by USP Kopontren XYZ to fulfill members financing demand both for business development and consumptive purposes. Termination of Employment Relationship, working cycle and Bad characters some members cause of the collectibility default in Murabaha Financing.This study using qualitative approach and case studies. The collection of primarydata through in-depth interview, while secondary data obtained from the AnnualMembers Meeting report Kopontren XYZ . Explanation building analysis techniques are use to explain the results of in-depth interviews in order to explain the handling of murabaha financing collectibility default.The results explained to handling collectability default adopt according to The Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 35.3 / Per / M.KUKM / X / 2007, executing from cash collateral, financial penalties for those who deliberately, and converts the contract.

This study aims to determine the accounting practices in the financial statements of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Sukoharjo, as well as to determine the barriers that exist in the application of accounting financial statements in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and how to overcome these obstacles. While the method of this study used a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative oriented. Data and information obtained from the UMKM in Sukoharjo and other secondary data sources.The results showed that the First, the application of existing financial statements in Sukoharjo still not up, a lot of UMKM only use simple remarks did not even make financial records at all, resulting in low utilization of accounting information in the development of UMKM. Second, barriers experienced by UMKM in applying the financial statements are ignorance about the benefits of the financial statements for business development, a lack of knowledge of the perpetrators of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in making financial reports, UMKM have not felt directly from the application of accounting financial statements. The fix takes the role of government and relevant parties to help UMKM implement the financial statements to empower their business. Keywords: Accounting, Financial Statements, UMKM

<p><em>This study aims to determine the condition of the development of virtual use in the marketing of MSME products in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in Kudus, the extent of the realization of e-marketplaces in MSMEs, inhibiting and supporting factors of MSMEs in implementing e-marketplaces in Kudus, and the application of sharia values </em><em></em><em>in practice the use of e-marketplaces by SMEs in Kudus. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data sources used are primary and secondary data. The informants of this research are the officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Manpower Office and Small and Medium Enterprises as well as SMEs and consumers. Data collection techniques use interviews and documentation. The results of the study show: 1) In the era of digitization, the Kudus District Trade Office created a platform; 2) The inhibiting factors for the implementation of E-Marketplace in Kudus are (a) Media limitations for online; (b) Limited Manpower; (c) Limitations of Internet Connection; (d) Duration of Delivery; (e) Limited human resources owned by MSME in Kudus to enter the digital market; (f) Lack of Coordination among Departments in Kudus Regency; (g) Competitive Atmosphere of Competitors. Factors supporting the implementation of e-marketplaces at MSMEs in Kudus are (a) the uniqueness of Kudus MSME products; (b) Ease of Technology in Kudus; (c) Government support for MSMEs facing the era of digitalization; 3) SMEs in Kudus have applied the principles of Islamic entrepreneurs, namely the principle of monotheism, justice, the existence of maslahah activities and the principle of taawun.</em><em></em></p><p><em><br /></em></p>

This study attempts to narrow the gaps that exist in the literature about branding in the context of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The research method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with Owners, Managing Directors, and Human Resource Managers in MSMEs. The results of this study indicate that the UMKM employer branding is still limited to intention. It can be seen from the absence of programs or activities that support employer branding programs that are felt directly by their employees. This is induced by the focus of MSME businessmen who are still on fundamental issues such as financial constraints and the absence of loyal consumers. The results of this study can be used by educators or stakeholders in Indonesian MSMEs as a reference for formulating employer branding approaches and strategies that are in line with the characteristics of MSMEs in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to find out the major challenges that hinder smooth operation of women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. It also finds the reasons behind the success of the women entrepreneurship. Both primary and secondary data have been used to conduct the study. The questionnaire included questions about economic problems, family related issues, social constraints and other limitations faced by women entrepreneurs and the reasons behind their success. Women involved in various small and medium enterprises take on the challenge to work in a male-dominated society, competitive and complex economic and business environment. However, the identified challenges are inadequate capital, sales promotion, getting permission to start-up a business, gender discrimination, illiteracy and lack of knowledge among women, non-availability of training program and technical support, lack of managerial experience, in some cases young people make ill talk about the enterprise and so on. Personal qualities such as hard work and perseverance, management skills and marketing skills, support provided by their spouses or family are the main reasons behind the success of the women entrepreneurs. The level of participation of women in mainstream economic activities remains insufficient and the percentage of women in business is still much below than that of their male counterparts.Journal of Business and Technology (Dhaka) Vol.9(2) 2014; 27-41

The purpose of this study was to analyze: 1) The implementation of the Deed of Establishment of Cooperative manufacture in Rembang. 2) The role of the Notary as the maker of the Deed of Establishment of Cooperative Enterprises. 3) Barriers and solutions in the Deed of Establishment of Cooperative Development in Rembang.The approach method in this research is juridical empirical, data sources used are primary and secondary data obtained through interviews and literature study, performed data analysis by descriptive analytic.Results of the research results can be concluded: 1) Implementation of Creation Deed of Establishment of Cooperative in Rembang which starts with the preparation stage of formation, preparation stage meetings of formation, stage meetings of formation, stage request for approval rights of legal entities cooperatives, and the stage of issuance of the deed pendiiran and 2) As the role of Notary Deed of establishment of cooperative enterprises in Rembang is as maker deed of cooperative efforts. Notaries have the right authority / legal standing in a deed of incorporation of cooperatives. 3). Obstacles and solutions in the Deed of Establishment of Cooperative Development in Rembang of the cooperative is a member of the cooperative awareness level is still low, less managerial capacity, and limited capital resources. Barriers of Notary Public Notary is still much limited knowledge of Notary Deed Official Cooperation (PPAK) and the low interest of the Notary Deed Cooperative (NPAK) in Rembang district were registered for the Legal Entity Administration System Cooperative (SISMINBHKOP). The pillar goals of this research are to review the conditions of MSMEs, their contribution to employment creation, income generation, poverty alleviation, contributions to the local, regional and national GDP, stimulating entrepreneurial climate and the challenges and opportunities in the design, implementations, marketing opportunities, linkages, financial sources, dynamics, survival and policy landscape. To achieve the presented purposes, we collected primary and secondary data through a survey, focus group discussions and documents reviews. We used qualitative and quantitative approaches to analyse the collected data using various statistical programs. We used descriptive and econometric statistical analysis to process the data, obtain the relevant estimation results and fully discuss the purposes under the study. We firmly maintain that the systems we presented, and the methods applied enabled us to tackle the aims of the study. MSMEs in Ethiopian are the chief sources of job, income, significantly contribute to the local, regional and national GDP and key policies to eliminate poverty. In the log-linear regression, we found that MSMEs initial capital, BDS, access to credit facility are the key determinants of MSMEs performance. Majority of the MSMEs produce for local and regional markets; few for national markets and none for international markets. Besides, we found that sex of MSMEs owner/manager, BDS, access to credit and capital size strongly determine the survival of MSMEs. Based on this study, the major obstacles of MSMEs in Ethiopia are the question of sustainability, lack of credit, weak market linkage, insufficient training, weak human resources development schemes, dependency on government and spoon-feeding mentality, oscillations in government policies, price variations, weak links and poor market and product development strategies.

It is difficult to find cases of technology-based Small and Medium Enterprises in developing countries, however Chile has some within the biotechnology sector. How has this been possible? As a consequence of the different public policies and structural economic conditions that allowed their emergence, especially in the 1990s. This study describes the historical conditions and how they have been able to create a sector within the Chilean economy. From the analysis of secondary data the emergence of this type of company within the country is described. This analysis shows the link between structural conditions and appropriate public policies, meaning that these companies did not emerge by chance. Understanding their development process is crucial to promote the creation of more such technology-based Small and Medium Enterprises, as they have many positive externalities and are more globally competitive.

This study aims to determine the system for the results of Mudharabah on Business Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) Amanah Desa Bunobogu with Qualitative Descriptive Analysis method. This study uses primary data sources and secondary data relating to the annual revenue sharing system Mudharabah (2010-2014). The results of this study indicate that the profit sharing system is implemented by the Multipurpose Business Cooperative (KSU) Amanah Desa Bunobogu in the form of Mudharabah financing. With a guarantee statement on the process akadnya. In the event of negligence made by members who resulted in his business losing the goods made in the guarantee will be seized by the cooperative. Businesses that are established by members are mostly small and medium enterprises so often encountered bookkeeping that is not clear and just make a budget booklet at random. However, it does not become alaasan and hamper the growth of cooperatives which each year has increased the remaining results of operations. Unclear budget bookkeeping can result in member earnings manipulation, by lowering the profits earned and the effect on the revenue share installments

Small and medium enterprises are paying the lion’s share in the innovation-based economy of today’s competitive business environment. To this effect, this study observed the effects of corporate entrepreneurship (CE) dimensions on the performance of SMEs in the town of Holeta, Ethiopia. We used both descriptive and survey research designs to meet the specified target of the study. The researchers employed both primary and secondary data sources; the former were collected from 173 participants using both primary and secondary data. The result of this study indicates that all of the explanatory variables used were statistically significant and had a positive relationship with the performance of SMEs. Thus, we recommend that owners of small and medium enterprises pay special attention to practicing CE to increase their business performance, sustainability, and competitiveness. Entrepreneurs should also come up with new and attractive product and service features to take high market shares. Furthermore, forecasting potential challenges for firms and devising possible ways of solving the situation in advance can safeguard businesses from failure.
