Talking about syllabus, each school must have got it based its subject matter. It is generally translated from the curriculum each school unit own. Type of the syllabus each school unit chooses depends on the learning approach it uses. English learning approach used at MA level in the context of School-based. Relating to what Fraenkel and Wallen state of steps in a qualitative research, the researcher identified the phenomenon to be investigated and it was the need of syllabus for the teaching narrative text Putri Mandalika folklore. The researcher collected data through observation, field notes, literature study, interview, and questionnaire. The researcher then analyzes the data and he then formulates the product as the implementation of his interpretation and conclusion of the data. Syllabus is inseparable from language teaching program. It is required not only by the teachers but also the students. This study deals with the improving students’ achievement in reading narrative text by using reciprocal teaching. The research of this study was conducted by using action research. The subject of this study was the tenth grade students SMA Negeri 6 Medan. One class was taken as the subject, namely the students from X-5. There were 49 students, consisting of 22 male and 27 female. This research was done in two cycles; there was three meetings in cycle I and three meetings in cycle II. The instruments for collecting data were reading narrative text (25 items of multiple choice tests) teacher make test as quantitative data and interview sheet, observation sheet and diary notes as qualitative data. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the treatment I was 61.79, for the treatment II was 72.24 and treatment III was 81.71. The data showed that the students’ score was rising in every treatment. The conclusion is that the use of reciprocal teaching method can improve students’ reading comprehension in narrative text. It suggested to English teacher to apply reciprocal teaching method in teaching reading comprehension. Key words: reading, narrative text, reciprocal teaching.

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the cooperative learning model type student team's achievement division has on basketball shoot lay-up skills. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The type of research design used was the non-equivalent group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Majalengka in 2019 totaling 424 students. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 214 students consisting of class XI IPS 1-4 and XI MIPA 7-8. The experimental group class XI IPS 1-2 and XI MIPA, control group class XI IPS 3-4 and XI MIPA 8. The results showed that the mean pre-test lay-up shoot of the experimental group was 4.09 while the control group was 3.92. The mean post-test shoot lay-up of the experimental group was 6.76 while the control group was 4.72. Furthermore, by looking at 95% confidence interval of the difference, there is a difference between the shoot lay-up results of the experimental group and the control group, which is -0.190 to 2.412. Thus, it can be concluded that STAD is effective in improving basketball shoot lay-up skills.

Writing is an important skill that should  be mastered by English learner. This research deals with teaching writing narrative text by using Collaborative Learning Approach (round table technique) and Scientific Approach. The subjects of this research were X RPL 1 as experimental class and X RPL 3 as control class. Both classes consist of 33 students. The objectives of this research are to know wheter or not the difference between students’ writing ability who were taught by using Collaborative Learning. This research employs the quasi experimental design. The instrument of this ressearch are writing test (pre-test and post test), observation, and interview. The data were analyzed by using statistical product and service solution (SPSS) 25 which through the normality and mann whitney process. The findings showed that the calculation result of gain score showed that the significance value was lower than 0.05 (0.0049 < 0.05) which means there is a difference between students who were taught by Collaborative Learning and those who were taught by using Scientific Approach. Keywords:  Writing, Narrative, Collaborative Learning, Round Table Technique

AbstractThis research is based on the low outcomes of class XI students on their chemistry subject. Therefore, the experiment research by pretest and posttest to discover the effect of cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) by using Handout toward learning outcomes of State Senior High School 1 Kampar on salt hydrolysis is conducted. The subject of this research is the students of class XI Mia in 2015-2016 year by using 2 classroom samples: XI Mia 1 (exsperiment) dan XI Mia 4 (control). The data was collected by using observation, initial test (homogeneity), final test (pretest and postest), and documentation. To discover the effect of the model on learning outcomes, the formula of Kp is applied. The effect differences are analyzed by t-test sampel related. The analysis result of initial and final data is t-counting = 2.325 and t-table = 1,68 in the significant rate of 5%. The value of t-counting > t-table, therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is the effect of cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) by using handout toward learning outcomes of State Senior High School 1 Kampar on salt hydrolysis by the effect as much as 7.8%.  Key words:      Learning outcomes, model learning model of STAD, salt hydrolysis

The purpose of the study is to improve the readiness of the students in performing Field Practice through peer teaching practice and Jigsaw cooperative learning approach. The approach of the study used classroom action research with the subject of the study were the students of bachelor program of Electronical Engineering who took video technique course. The study was done by the following steps, pre-action to balance the researcher’s perception and debriefing consisting designing lesson plan and micro teaching. The validity of the instruments of pedagogy competency was analyzed by item correlation, the result were, preparation r=0,73; implementation r=0,89 and evaluation r=0,97. The result of reliability testing for preparation was very reliable with r=0,89; implementation is very reliable with r=0,97 and implementation is less reliable with r=0,53. The result of the study showed that the students get a real picture of teacher’s responsibility through the exposure to the experiences of peer-tutoring, preparation, teaching practice, and evaluating the result of the study. The students’competence in preparation, teaching, and evaluating the result of study was improved cycle by cycle. The improvement in students’teaching skills was followed by improvement of the result of video technique learning outcomes.

The aims of this study was to improve output comprehension concept vast unit conversion using an cooperative learning model with type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). The kind of this study was action class research (ACR), teacher as a learning executor then student as a learning observer. This study used 2 cycle action class. Every cycle consisted of four stage that is planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation. This study was held on even semester, on February. The subject of this study was student at VI Mina class SD Islam Al Azhar 17 Bintaro consist of 35 students. The data obtained from observation, interviewed and written test. Data analysis used descriptive and presented in a table. The study indicated increase comprehension concept vast unit conversion of student. The first cycle showed 63% student’s score above Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC), then on second cycle the student’s score increased up to 100% above MCC. Accordingly, cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) application can improve comprehension concept vast unit in math story telling question.

This research aimed to explain the improvement of the students’ reading comprehension in terms of Literal Reading of the text dealing with main ideas and sequence of details and Creative Reading of the text dealing withcharacterization and conclusion. The researcher used a classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles in which every cycle consisted of four meetings. The location of this research was taken at the first grade students of SMAN 1 Bontomarannu  with a number of the subject were 35 students. The research findings indicated that the application of SMAN 1 Bontomarannu, This strategy was improving the students’ reading comprehension in terms ofLiteral reading  and Creative reading of the text. It was proved by the mean score of cycle I was 60.7. It was classified as fair then improved to be 73.36. It was classified as good in cycle II.
