This article is devoted to the study of the problem moments of teaching physical culture in higher educational institutions. He considers the problems of the organization of physical education, the shortcomings of the modern system of the educational process, as well as the need to introduce new methods and methods of teaching students to make educational goals that give to the preservation and strengthening of the health of the future generation. It is determined that interactive learning is a form of organization of cognitive activity, is a method of knowledge, which is carried out in the form of a joint activity of the teacher and the student, when all participants interact with each other, exchange information, solve problems together, simulate situations, evaluate the actions of others and their own behavior, etc. It is envisaged that the main goal of the interactive form of conducting physical education classes will be to immerse students in the real atmosphere of business cooperation, in solving problems, optimally developed skills and qualities of a future specialist. However, there are difficulties in using this method in the educational process, among which are the following: lack of knowledge of the content of the method, inability to use it in practice, misunderstanding of its place in the structure of the class, mistrust of the effectiveness of its use in the learning process. It is proved that one of the perspective directions of improvement of physical education of students is the development of scientific principles of monitoring of physical and motor development on the basis of involving a complex of information and technological approaches that will meet the current state. At the same time, the fundamental changes in the development of civilization affect the changes in the system of requirements, which are presented to both the specialist and the education system as a whole.

The article reflects the experience of Kharkiv higher educational institutions’ leading teachers who were looking for and using ways to enhance cognitive activity of students in the difficult recovery time of higher school after the Second World War. Teachers’ attempts to develop students’ cognitive activity were conditioned by the need to perform complex tasks (to increase constantly the level and to improve the quality of graduates; to strengthen links between theory and practice; to attract students to scientific researches and introduction of teaching staff’s inventions in production; to improve qualifications of teaching staff of higher educational institutions (HEIs); to develop initiative of universities’ and institutes’ teachers and professors; to develop and intensify independent work of students in the learning process), which were put forward the higher education institutions by the state leadership. Kharkiv University’ and institutes’ progressive professors tried to intensify students’ cognitive activity at lectures, workshops, seminars, consultations, laboratory workshops. They used a variety of unusual for that time teaching methods: search, problem, research, etc. The article presents examples of various tasks (situation-exercises, group games, situations-problems) and approaches to the educational process (using problematic approach while giving lectures, case reports of students at lectures, exchange of best lecturers and others), describes the characteristics of using of them at lectures, seminars and workshops.

Purpose: to reveal the peculiarities of teaching students of higher educational institutions of specializations of sports games and martial arts ski training. Material and methods. To solve the set tasks, we conducted a study in the 2020/2021 academic year with students of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture in the amount of 45 people, aged 18-20 years, for three weeks. Students were taught skiing techniques both according to the traditional system (control group) and according to the methodology developed by us (experimental groups). The time for learning the technique of skiing in both groups was the same 15 classes of classical style and 15 classes of skating style for 90 minutes each (according to the work program of the discipline), but the teaching methods in the experimental groups differed. The following methods were used during the research: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature sources, working curricula and practical experience of teachers; analysis of information on the Internet; pedagogical observations; method of expert assessments; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics. Results: as a result of the study, it was found that students of the experimental group (E1) received significantly better scores than the control group for performing the technique of movement in the classical style, the average score - 6.30, and the control group - 5.68 points (t=3,6; p<0,01), for performing the technique of skating style score (E1) was 6.18 points, and the control group – 5,25 points (t=5,2; p<0,01). Students of the experimental group (E2) for performing the technique of classical movement style received an average score of 5.93, compared with the control group - 5.68 points, no significant difference was found (p>0,05), the average score of the group (E2) for performing skating style was 5.90 points, and the control group – 5,25 points, which is significantly better (t=3,8; p<0,01). Conclusions. The use of different teaching methods, taking into account sports specializations, as well as the development of leading motor skills, has improved the learning outcomes of students of higher education specializations in sports games and martial arts ski training. As a result of the use of simulation and special training exercises without skis and on skis at the beginning of classes on the technique of classical and skating skiing, students of the group significantly improved the mastery of ski training on all indicators (p<0,01–0,05). Keywords: ski training, educational process, students, sports games, martial arts, motor abilities.

One of the modern trends in both formal and corporate education is microlearning which involves using short videos in educational process. Microlearning has a variety of advantages including that this approach is more student-oriented, aimed at increasing the level of mastering knowledge, requires less time spent by students for learning, gives a possibility to study at any time and anywhere using own devices, increases motivation etc. The article deals with methodological aspects of creating educational video materials taking into account psychological peculiarities and learning habits of modern students. Video materials belong to the most powerful tools in educational process as they provide students with the possibility of simultaneous perception of auditory and visual information. Video materials must be strictly structured and involve students into learning process, in particular they could be included into different sources of electronic learning courses (ELC). There are different types of videos that are used in ELC such as introductory video, video lectures, video tutorials, additional video materials, interactive video. In spite of content variety all video materials undergo the same procedure of creation including dividing material into logically finished parts, notions definition, writing content questions, components structuring etc. Recording of a video must be a thoroughly planned process to ensure high quality of outcoming product. The article also deals with peculiarities of webinars as one of the possibilities of using video materials in educational process of higher educational institutions. Different types of webinars are analysed including tutorial webinar, lecture webinar, practical webinar. The article also deals with peculiarities of webinars as one of the possibilities of using video materials in educational process of higher educational institutions. Different types of webinars are analysed including tutorial webinar, lecture webinar, practical webinar. A comparative analysis of different webinar-oriented platforms has also been made.

A set of certain features has been selected for a clear and concise essence of competences. It has been established that the competence of introduction of innovative learning technologies in the educational process, research, digital and competence of lifelong learning are relevant in accordance with the requirements. Systematization of indicators of professional, psychological-communicative and academic competence has made it possible to reveal that the improvement of these characteristics is achieved through continuous learning. It has been proved that the development of tools for assessing the competence teachers of higher educational institutions will help identify positive or negative trends.
