The Every Student Succeeds Act redefines the priorities of our nation’s education system. Prior to its passage, turnaround strategies advanced solutions for low-performing schools. Research literature examining how these reforms impacted the schooling experiences of students attending these schools is lacking. We present the results of a qualitative case study of a reconstituted urban school in the Southwest United States, providing the perspectives of 10 students with dis/abilities and the effects accountability reform efforts had on their high school experience. Three expressed needs and desires were identified: (a) a positive school identity, (b) stability, and (c) to be recognized and heard.

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze how a private high school in Seoul developed and executed a “school disinfection strategy” to ensure the students' right to study in a safe environment, and also to analyze the lessons learned from this process.Methods: This was a case study of school health in a community-based school reopening during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study target was a 64-year-old private high school with 12 classes for each grade with a total of 1,100 students.Results: A “school disinfection strategy” was set up at individual and class environment levels to protect students from the risk of infection. In addition, school health activities were carried out with a “personal protection safety belt” and “community protection safety belt” for effective implementation. To ensure a safe educational environment for high school students and to ensure smooth execution of face-to-face classes (in-person teaching), the “prevention safety belt strategy” was introduced in accordance with governmental guidelines to sequentially implement various preventive measures necessary to guarantee environmental safety of schools. Activating personal prevention safety belts by checking the symptoms of students when entering the school and during each class, and providing self-made disinfectants by spraying alcohol on wet-wipes were cost-effective and sustainable methods used in this school to prevent the spread of infection.Conclusions: The experience of developing a prevention safety belt strategy to adapt the guidelines of the local education office to the school situation was presented. Focusing on the school community, as well as individual students and teachers, the concept of prevention safety belts helped to unite and stimulate voluntary participation of students in health promotion activities.

This article investigates the Financial Market Leagues (LMF) as interstitial organizations through the lens of the Theory of Academic Capitalism. A case study was conducted based on a LMF in a Brazilian public university (LMF-Unab). Data collection involved the LMF’s National Council, business press, institutional pages of the LMFs and the internships coordination of the university studied. Moreover, 82 questionnaires were applied to members of 29 LMFs and the founders of the LMF-Unab were interviewed. The results revealed that 70.1% of respondents are between 20-23 years old; 81% attended private high school; 48% attend Engineering courses. LMFs operate within universities legitimizing narratives and metrics typical of a financialization process, which is illustrated by iconic figures of the discourse of meritocracy and the aggressive culture of results, such as Jorge Paulo Lemann, among other respondents' sources of inspiration. This paper addresses the literature gap regarding the understanding of student organizations as actors of academic capitalism, often portrayed as passive agents in this process, but who are actually active and benefit from it.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon. Technique of completion of data and information is done through interview, observation, study study, and literature study. The findings of this research are 1). Students or students are required to complete the recitation of Furudhul Ainiyah as a condition to take the odd semester and even semester exam and become a requirement for class and graduation increase. 2). the implementation of the furudhul Ainiyah memorization is performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Tuesday nights, and can also be done during normal day breaks, 3). The responsible and recipient of the rote deposit are PAI teachers and their homeroom teachers, 4). For students and students who can not read written Al-qur'an is not subject to rote burden, but get special coaching related to Al-Qur'an reading written by the religious coordinator of students. 5). Memory materials include Aqidah, Fiqih or Amaliyah materials, and daily prayers for students of VII and VIII semerter 1 and 2, while for classes IX semesters 1 and 2 cover the material of the Qur'an and Fiqh. 6). According to data Basic Healt Research (Riskesdas) in 2016, as many as 22,7% women of reproductive age more than 15 years indicate anemia. Anemia that often occurs is iron deficiency anemia, the incidence reaches 50% of the total anemia. There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and incidence of anemia in adolescent.This study was an observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. This study was conducted in private high school Santa Lusia Medan. The population of this study were adolescent girl with a total sample 74 using total sampling technique. The research material in the form scales and height measurements to measure boddy mass index, quesioner for iron consumption patterns and consumption habits of Fe tablet and hemoglobin levels were examined using haemometer digital. Data analysis used chi square test (α=0,005).The results of the research are variabels related to anemia incidence are body mass index (sig=0,019), iron consumption patterns (sig=0,017), Fe tablet consumption habit (sig=0,045). Conclusion this study is factor causing anemia in adolescent girls is the pattern of iron consumption. Adolescent girl who have irreguler iron consumption pattern have an oppurtunity to experience anemia of 4,250 compared to adolescent girl who have reguler iron consumption patterns.
