Value of slope of a recurrence curve which shows earthquakes number distribution on their energy and which is widely used for seismic process characteristics was studied (with the help of a magnitude scale). Earthquakes referred to Mingyachevir reservoir zone for the time period 19352002 and 20032014 have been chosen by the data of RCSS ANAS catalogues. Time variations of slope of an earthquake recurrence curve value were investigated for Mingyachevir reservoir zone. Investigations on the basis of fractal statistics of the earthquakes in the given zone were carried out and the map of seismic activity for a period of past 10 years was made

The article covers the manifestations and peculiarities of the ideology of socialism in the social-political life of Armenia at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. General characteristics, aims and directions of activity of the political organizations functioning in the Armenian reality within the given time-period, whose program documents feature the ideology of socialism to one degree or another, are given (Hunchakian Party, Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian Social-democrats, Specifics, Socialists-revolutionaries). The specific peculiarities of the national-political life of Armenia in the given time-period and their impact on the ideology of political forces are introduced.

The study of results of relevant works on remote sensing of forests has shown that the known methods of remote estimation of forest cuts and growth don’t allow to calculate the objective average value of forests cut volume during the fixed time period. The existing mathematical estimates are not monotonous and make it possible to estimate primitively the scale of cutting by computing the ratio of data in two fixed time points. In the article the extreme properties of the considered estimates for deforestation and reforestation models are researched. The extreme features of integrated averaged values of given estimates upon limitations applied on variables, characterizing the deforestation and reforestation processes are studied. The integrated parameter, making it possible to calculate the averaged value of estimates of forest cutting, computed for all fixed time period with a fixed step is suggested. It is shown mathematically that the given estimate has a monotonous feature in regard of value of given time interval and make it possible to evaluate objectively the scales of forest cutting.

The article provides an analysis of foreign and Soviet scientific publications devoted to the problem of sociological education, the “revival” of Soviet sociology, as well as to the role and place of sociology among the sciences, in society and education. The given study covers the time period of the late 1950s — early 1980s and briefly describes the education of the population of the USSR at that time. Looking through the works on Soviet sociology, the authors show that sociology was introduced not only into the research areas of specific universities and laboratories, but also into many other branches and spheres of activity, as well as into the authorities’ activity. The authors of the article purposefully focus on the role of consolidation and mutual exchange of sociological research from various sociological services.

Abstract. The paper presents a novel adaptive parametric documentation, modelling and sharing methodology, which aims to achieve a continuous holistic documentation, data processing and sharing process for cultural heritage community, such as architects, engineers, archaeologists, conservators, programmers, fabricators, contest creators, game developers, scholars and common citizens. Thus, the use of advance parametric and building information modelling software allows the processing and specification of all data by creating the 3D models needed for the multidisciplinary experts. Two Cypriot case studies from the medieval time period have been chosen for the development, and evaluation of our proposed methodology in order to investigate the process of modelling and sharing all the given metadata and 3D data. The first one is the Asinou Church, a UNESCO Heritage stone monument in the Troodos Mountains with a unique interior and the Kolossi Castle, a former Crusader stronghold on the west of the city of Limassol on the island of Cyprus.

Abstract The seaboard area from Rhode Island to Maryland has not experienced an earthquake larger than magnitude 5.1 since European settlement. The rate of occurrence of small earthquakes for the last 200 years suggests that the 500-year earthquake might be about magnitude 5.2. An earthquake comparable to the 1886 Charleston, S. C. earthquake (magnitude 6.7) has an average recurrence period calculated to exceed ten thousand years. The effect of variability in the seismic activity rate and possible incompleteness of the record of activity makes the accuracy of recurrence estimates for this region uncertain.

Abstract. Geoelectrical fluctuations measured in seismic areas have been attributed to stress and strain changes, associated with earthquakes. The complex nature of this problem has suggested the development of monitoring stations in order to perform geophysical monitoring for a long time period and with a high sample rate. In this paper, anomalous geoelectrical fluctuations of SP signals recorded in the S. Loja basin, Lucano Apennine chain by Tito and Picerno stations, and linked with seismic activity, are analyzed and discussed.

Abstract The article analyzes the term “biographical method”, which consists in the idea of a biography being one’s life journey. Its essence was disclosed through the views of the leading Ukrainian and foreign scholars. The origins of the biographical method as the main tool for studying prominent figures in pedagogy were specified. The article contains the domain-specific classification of biographical sources including autobiographies, biographies, life stories, personal experience stories, surveys and interviews, public and private archival materials, printed and hand-written heritage of authors, memoirs of their contemporaries, etc. Specific attention is paid to the fact that biographical researches can characterize the course of life of a particular figure in pedagogy, the era in which he/she lived and worked, the process of shaping and developing his/her worldview and pedagogical views. Consequently, one can highlight the main stages in the pedagogue’s life, better understand the essence of his/her cultural, educational activities, grasp his/her unique identity, reveal certain patterns in various facts of his/her biography that have caused the emergence and development of particular educational and pedagogical ideas. Based on theoretical analysis of the works by Ukrainian and foreign scholars, it was concluded that the biographical method could determine the influence of society on the development of the individual, his/her life position, values and ideals, different moments of the society’s life at one time period or another, social contexts, rules and norms. It was found that when studying the biographies of prominent figures in pedagogy one should be able to balance the given material on the pedagogue’s activities, the description of his/her works and theoretical analysis and understanding of the trends in the development of his/her views and a reasonable assessment of his/her contributions.

The article is devoted to the problem of improving the system of forecasting tax revenues in Ukraine. Forecasting tax revenues in the budget system is a key tool for implementing the state tax policy. This process represents a systematic work on the calculation of tax revenues for the future. The purpose of tax forecasts is to identify, for a certain time period, tax revenues, taking into account their economically justified level. The author proved that this sphere of public administration and economic-analytical practice requires improvement, taking into account progressive developments, which proved their effectiveness in the western countries. The analysis of the forecasting errors of the main budget-generating taxes in Ukraine is carried out by comparing the forecast indicator at the end of the period (taking into account changes that were made during the budget year) with actual values. The article describes the method of forecasting tax revenues. In the given model the level of VAT is influenced by GDP growth, the national currency rate and the growth of VAT in the previous period. The individuals' income depends on the growth of GDP, the dynamics of the national currency rate and the growth of VAT, on the dynamics of excise tax. As for the corporate income tax, it is influenced by the growth of the national currency, the growth of VAT, while this indicator is related to GDP.The method of forecasting tax revenues proposed provides more accurate forecast data than the officially approved Method for predicting budget revenues, which gives grounds for considering it as a promising forecasting tool that deserves further study and improvement.
