This thesis explores whether an analytical practice, combining creative writing with activism and based in academia, can help open space for more women scriptwriters within New Zealand feature filmmaking. It links autoethnography with activist and experience-based methodologies within a creative writing framework that includes a memoir, an essay, a report, diaries and emails, an essay screenplay and weblogging, to present multiple views of an investigation into state investment in women‘s feature filmmaking and the researcher‘s own experience as an activist researcher and apprentice scriptwriter. It concludes that, within an analytical creative writing practice, autoethnography‘s accommodation of a single researcher participant‘s shifting roles may help to open space for women scriptwriters to contribute to New Zealand feature films.

This article is written in the theoretical-methodological genre. The key goal lies in the revision and systematization of versatile analytical hypotheses proposed by social and human science in order to explain the interest of Russian youth in politicized information content on the Internet. It is noted that the current analytical practice faces a fundamental contradiction between the prevalence of reflections of the scholars on the significant role of the Internet in development of the political moods and attitudes of the Russian youth audience and the absence the well-established scientific representation on the reasons why there is a need to search for political information namely on the Internet. This article aims to clarify this contradiction. Theoretical-methodological analysis is conducted on the disparate ideas used by social and human science to explain and interpret the heighted interest of Russian youth in the online politicized content. Procedurally, the work leans on the analysis of relevant current scientific literature for the period from 2015 to 2020 dedicated to examination of the patterns of Internet behavior and political culture of modern Russian youth. The conclusion is made that there are several versions that explain the heightened interest of Russian youth in politicized information on the Internet, which logically correspond with each other, but are usually not being generalized. Having summarized these versions into a single analytical model, the authors indicate the key reason for the heightened interest of Russian youth in political information on the Internet is the low level of trust in the traditional media, which forces them to seek the alternative sources of information on topics of concern online.

The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis management strategies adopted by world leaders across the globe in 2020 impacted the work-life balance of billions of people. Entire populations were forced to stay at home and maintain a safe distance from family members, friends, colleagues, and customers. Occupational devotion is defined as a feeling of strong, positive attachment to a form of self-enhancing employment, where achievement and fulfillment are high, and the core activity has such intense appeal that the line between this work and leisure is virtually erased. Although it is not a new concept, this area of the serious leisure perspective has been largely overlooked by scholars observing the world of sport events and entrepreneurship. Using Creative Analytical Practice (CAP), a post-qualitative methodology, we present the personal narrative of a New Zealand-based active lifestyle entrepreneur who, as a result of a nationwide COVID19 lockdown, was forced to re-assess his long-established occupational devotion. Our co-constructed story offers an emotive insight into the personal cost and consequences of finding yourself living in a lockdown.

The article discusses the methods of strategic analysis used in analytical practice. It was found that there is no unified methodology for conducting a strategic analysis of the development of an organization, the plurality of existing methods and techniques will not allow a priori to give preference to one of them. The four most used in strategic analysis methods of SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, SNW analysis and industry analysis according to M. Porter's model of five forces, as well as matrix analysis methods, the most popular of which are the BCG matrix, the SPACE matrix, the ICC matrix, Matrix Shel. Comparative analysis of the methods of strategic analysis of the organization on the basis of highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, showed that each of them has a number of advantages, but is not devoid of visible disadvantages. To prioritize and form practice-oriented techniques, expert assessments and their ranking were carried out on the principles of simplicity of the technique, the complexity of conclusions, the scale of application and the complexity of development and application. It was found that SWOT analysis and PEST analysis methods, mission matrix and key competencies are most consistent with the principles of simplicity in implementation, complexity, universality and reliability of assessing the strategic development of an organization. It is advisable to use these methods as analytical tools in planning and managing the strategic development of an organization.

Chapter 2—which may be read before chapter 1, if that is the preference of the reader—is the book’s first illustration of Sonata Theory in practice. It provides a close reading of the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Sonata in B-flat, K. 333, that simultaneously presents an introduction to the theory’s specific mode of analysis and its most central concepts and terms. Not least of its concerns are its urgings that the listener/analyst is a co-creator of the work’s meaning (resulting ultimately in a responsible hermeneutic reading): Sonata Theory analysis seeks to be an aesthetically receptive, interactive dialogue with an individual work. Even in its most language-technical moments, it tries to integrate methodical observation with a personal sensitivity to the affective contours and colors of music as music. Two other features of the book are also introduced here: a historical/contextual backdrop for the work under consideration (including dating, original purpose, and aesthetic); and the inclusion of other modes of analytical practice to suggest their compatibility with Sonata Theory.

In modern business conditions, an increasing number of Russian companies have problems with solvency, as a result of which they are forced to go into bankruptcy proceedings. In such conditions, it seems important to develop the rehabilitation potential of business bankruptcy. The objectives of the work are to identify the reasons for the low solvency of Russian companies, as well as the rare use of bankruptcy rehabilitation procedures and their low effectiveness, which will allow us to identify new approaches to the development of the rehabilitation, including health, bankruptcy potential. In the course of the study, a comprehensive and systematic approach to the studied processes and phenomena was applied, which are implemented by means of general scientific methods: scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis. The use of standard analytical methods (comparison, summaries and groupings) made it possible to assess the solvency of Russian companies, their participation in bankruptcy proceedings and the effectiveness of bankruptcy proceedings. The study made it possible to conclude that today the activities of the overwhelming majority of insolvent Russian companies are completed with the help of bankruptcy proceedings, while the main function of bankruptcy rehabilitation procedures is solely in debt repayment extended over time, which requires further improvement by adding a vector to preservation and development of the debtor's business. The results of the study can be used in analytical practice, as well as to develop new approaches to the development of the rehabilitation potential of bankruptcy proceedings.

Subject. The article addresses the issues of financial stability monitoring as part of macroprudental supervision and regulation. The study concerns non-financial companies as a source of systemic risk for the national financial system. There are a lot of discussions about monitoring of systemically important borrowers under the auspices of the Russian Regulator. Objectives. Research is aimed at developing a methodology for assessing the systemic risk of Russian non-financial companies. Methods. We propose a set of indicators to assess the systemic risk derived from non-financial companies in Russia. The sample of indicators corresponds with the leading international practice and available data. The dynamic analysis of the sampled indicators should be conducted. We should focus on separate indicators and for a comprehensive view using a new composite indicator of systemic risk. Results. We devised a methodology for assessing the systemic risk of Russian non-financial companies. The relevance of the methodology was proved with empirical data. The sample includes 3,766 companies per year. The proposed indicators were proved to reflect an adequate change in the tested period (the year before, during and after financial instability). Conclusions and Relevance. Our methodology contributes to the current scientific discussion on new directions for assessing the financial stability. The results can be applied to the analytical practice, including the macroprudential supervision and regulation.
