This research was conducted to evaluate POTWIS application by highlighting three usability concepts that effectiveness, efficiency, and the satisfaction of the user in using POTWIS application measured by usability testing methode, Performance Measurement, RTA, UEQ, and SUS technique. The purpose is to know the result of usability testing and improvement recommendation on POTWIS application based of the result of usability testing.The result of this research is based on analysis of statical calculation Mann Whitney U Test, UEQ dan SUS which showed (1) POTWIS application is not effective seen from the existance of the mistake made by respondent during the task, (2) POTWIS application is efficient seen from the time of task execution because the execution time between proficient group and beginner group was not significantly different, (3) POTWIS application has not met the scale of efficiency measured by UEQ with score 0.625 which showed below the average and (4) POTWIS application has not fulfilled user satisfaction measured by SUS with score 53.00 which is stated still below the average score is > 68.

This research is aimed to determine the results of the usability analysis from the website Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya viewed from the user side as well as knowing the recommendation of website improvement of Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya from usability aspect. The methods used are Usability Testing of Performance Measurement and Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA) techniques and the dissemination of SUS questionnaires.  The results showed that the Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya still not effective, it is seen from the error or mistake made by users of lecturers and students while doing the task. Statistically website Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya has been efficient for lecture but not efficient for college students users. For lecturers there are 6 out of 10 tasks that do not have significant time difference, while for  college students there are 4 out of 10 tasks that do not have significant time difference. From the aspect of user satisfaction, both lecturers and college students feel still less satisfied using the website of Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya, this can be seen from the SUS questionnaire scores of lecturers of 63.28 and college students users of 58.44. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluded that the Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya has not fulfilled the criteria of products that have good usability, because the three aspects (effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction) have not been met. Based on the above, the recommendation of Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STIPAR) Triatma Jaya website is focused on adjustment of display, language and term change, feature addition, menu name adjustment, menu structure and menu layout, content addition and menu simplification. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana evaluasi Sistem Informasi Prakerin Pendidikan Teknik Inforamatika (PTI) dari segi kegunaanya, keefektivan, keefisienan, dan kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode usability testing. Sampel dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa dan dosen PTI sebanyak 6 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik Performance Measurement dan Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA). Dengan teknik tersebut akan dicari hasil data kuantitatif dan kualitatifnya. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan kuisioner Sistem Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur kepuasan penggunanya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 1.Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI masih belum efektif. Karena masih ada error yang dilakukan responden mahasiswa atau dosen dalam melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan. 2.Sistem Informasi Praekrin PTI dilihat dari hasil penghitungan waktu pelaksanaan tugas antara responden pemula atau mahir tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Jadi Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI bisa dikatakan efisien. 3.Dalam kepuasan pengguna sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI masih kurang. Dari hasil rekapitulasi kuisioner SUS yang didapat dihitung dengan menggunakan berbandingan Mann Whitney U-Test hasilnya adalah untuk responden mahasiswa 62,08 dan responden dosen 60,42. Karena masih lebih kecil dari 68 responden dikatakan belum puas. 4.Rekomendasi yang diberikan responden yaitu perlu ditambah menu data diri, halaman ubah password, dan dalam form isi nilai ditambahkan keterangan nilai yang harus diisi.Kata Kunci : Survei, Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI, Performance Measurement, RTA, Efektivitas, Efisiensi, Kepuasan pengguna, Rekomendasi This research aims to find out how evaluation Information System Prakerin Educational Engineering Inforamatika (PTI) in terms of usability, effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction in using Information Systems Prakerin PTI. So Information System Prakerin PTI can be said to be efficient. 3.In the user satisfaction System Information Prakerin PTI still less. From the result of recapitulation of SUS questionnaire which was obtained was calculated by using Mann Whitney U-Test result was for student respondent 62,08 and lecturer respondent 60,42. Efficient big data analysis is critical to support applications or services in Internet of Things (IoT) system, especially for the time-intensive services. Hence, the data center may host heterogeneous big data analysis tasks for multiple IoT systems. It is a challenging problem since the data centers usually need to schedule a large number of periodic or online tasks in a short time. In this paper, we investigate the heterogeneous task scheduling problem to reduce the global task execution time, which is also an efficient method to reduce energy consumption for data centers. We establish the task execution for heterogeneous tasks respectively based on the data locality feature, which also indicate the relationship among the tasks, data blocks and servers. We propose a heterogeneous task scheduling algorithm with data migration. The core idea of the algorithm is to maximize the efficiency by comparing the cost between remote task execution and data migration, which could improve the data locality and reduce task execution time. We conduct extensive simulations and the experimental results show that our algorithm has better performance than the traditional methods, and data migration actually works to reduce th overall task execution time. The algorithm also shows acceptable fairness for the heterogeneous tasks.

Purpose The Web has become an indispensable medium used by people across the world for education, information, entertainment, social interaction as well as for various daily activities involving shopping and employment-related tasks. It is therefore becoming increasingly essential that the Web must be accessible to all people to provide equal access and equal opportunity. This is specifically more important for people with various kind of disabilities. Several initiatives such as development of Web accessibility guidelines, tools and technologies have been undertaken to make the Web usable for people with different disabilities. However, only a handful of them are aimed at people with Severe Speech and Motor Impairment (SSMI). This paper aims to present a Web browsing interface for people with severe speech and motor impairment. Design/methodology/approach The browser allows easy dissemination of information through World Wide Web for people with SSMI. The browser is augmented with both automatic as well as manual scanning mechanisms through which a motor disorder person can access the browser graphical user interface (GUI). Further, the browser provides an intelligent content scanning mechanism through which the Web contents can be accessed with less time and cognitive effort. Along with the desktop version, WebSanyog is successfully ported on Android-based tablets to make the system portable. Findings The system has been exhaustively field tested by people with SSMI. The browser has been deployed at the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP), Kolkata. The performance of the browser has been measured in terms of three parameters: The Task execution time (TET); Error rates analysis (ER); and Overall usability score by the subject. The evaluation results suggests that the proposed Web browsing interface is effective in terms of task execution time, cognitive effort and overall user satisfaction. Originality/value The browser GUI is integrated with an automatic scanning mechanism as an alternate way to access and navigate through Web pages, instead of using keyboard and mouse. The browser provides novel content access mechanisms that makes navigating through Web page contents like links, images and embedded videos easier and faster. To facilitate text entry, the browser provides two different options, namely, the predictive virtual scanning keyboard and a novel icon-based query entry scheme that allows generating search queries through the selection of multiple icons.

This article is aimed at demonstrating the possibilities of using the usability testing method in the framework of research to determine the features of the new forms of digital urban participation by Russians in solving social and environmental problems and conflicts. In particular, the authors investigated the effectiveness of environmental online platforms in the UX research methodology through usability testing of these sites from the perspective of their users. The results of testing showed that both the functionality of these platforms to involve the population in environmental practices and technical limitations prevent users from putting environmental initiatives into practice. The data obtained in the framework of the UX study will allow us to compare the perception of users of online platforms with the conceptual vision of their developers to identify potential biases in the perception of these products by their ideologues and users in order to minimize these gaps. In terms of the increase of scientific knowledge, this study will allow to assess the effectiveness of the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for digital ecoactivists in comparison with traditional (offline) forms of urban participation, to analyze the new strategies and forms of digital participation, and to identify the main advantages and disadvantages of ICTs in minimizing socio-environmental problems and conflicts in the tradition of M. This paper concerns the study of user experience and focuses on two aspects i.e. usability and user satisfaction. Two mobile applications for monitoring human activity, Mi Fit and Google Fit, were tested. Both applications work with sports armbands. Two methods were used for the study: a questionnaire and eye tracking. The comparison of the applications was made on the basis of the collected results from questionnaires, measurements of task completion times and the number and type of errors detected. Nine respondents participated in the study. The Google Fit application received a higher average score for user satisfaction, fewer errors and shorter task completion times.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengguna dan mengevaluasi SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa menggunakan metode Usability Testing dengan teknik Firstclick Usability Testing, Performance Measurement, Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA), kuisoner System Usability Scale (SUS) serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan terhadap sistem tersebut berdasarkan atas hasil penelitian. Ada beberapa aspek yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini yaitu efektivitas (effectiveness), efisiensi (efficiency), tingkat kesalahan (error), dan kepuasan pengguna (satisfaction) menggunakan SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa.Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Undiksha dengan melibatkan 385 responden kuisioner SUS dan 20 orang responden usability testing. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis Mann Whitney U-test dan SUS menunjukkan bahwa (1) SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa sudah efektif akan tetapi masih terdapat beberapa error yang ditemukan dalam sistem, (2) SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa sudah efisien dilihat dari tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan waktu pengerjaan tugas kelompok mahir dan kelompok pemula, dan (3) Pengguna merasa kurang puas menggunakan SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa dilihat dari skor kuisioner SUS sebesar 61,6.Dengan demikian berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa sudah memenuhi kriteria usability baik akan tetapi pengguna belum puas  saat menggunakan SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada penilaian tingkat efektivitas, efisiensi, tingkat kesalahan dan kepuasan pengguna, SIAK Undiksha ditinjau dari pengguna tersebut hanya berhasil memenuhi 2 dari 4 aspek. Oleh sebab itu, rekomendasi perbaikan dalam penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengubah tata letak (layout) halaman dan menu navigasi sesuai hasil data penyebab kesalahan (error) pengguna dan menyederhanakan penggunaa Bahasa. Perbaikan dilakukan dengan membuat wireframe halaman utama SIAK Undiksha itinjau dari pengguna mahasiswa, halaman menu prosedur, halaman submenu biodata, halaman ubah biodata, halaman statistic nilai mahasiswa dan halaman cetak kartu rencana studi.

As result of the development of technology, most of modern computer and smartphones are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi direct wireless technologies enabled. While those wireless technologies come with the benefits of interconnecting devices without the need access point or central base station. However, computer and smartphones connected via Bluetooth based or via Wi-Fi Direct connection does not guarantee intercommunication or data transmission in meaningful way. Therefore, third party software is always needed to help for achieving data transmission. In this research an effort is done to design and develop P2P software applications and web based application by using C# and ASP.net MVC programming languages as features of Visual Studio 2017. Application would facilitate P2P communication of interconnected devices via the same channel. Built software system has been tested based on functional testing method, and usability testing. The result from functional testing shows that P2P communication meets functional requirements while usability testing has an average score of 72.2% from System Usability Scale method. The results from SUS scores brands our proposed P2P communication system to be good and highly accepted.
