The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant and spontaneous changes to the realm of education, including learning performing arts in higher education. Face-to-face learning in the classroom was replaced by online learning. Teachers need to explore online learning applications to provide learning facilities at home. This paper presents a discussion regarding Edmodo-based online classroom implementation as a tool for distance learning. The implementation has been carried out on performing arts pedagogy courses, namely Curriculum & Instruction, Classroom Management, Instructional Technology, and Art's Learning Evaluation, in performing art education study programs. From the results of implementing the Edmodo, it is known that most students could pass courses based on their final grades. This implementation is an example of setting online design on the subject of other performing arts pedagogy.

Learner resistances—based on learning frustrations, differing world views, personality differences, political aims, and other challenges—occur in online learning contexts as they do in face-to-face learning ones, but they may be missed by the teachers and even peers given the lack of non-verbal communications and informal contexts when indicators of such resistances may occur. This work addresses what learner resistances are and what causes them based on a review of the literature. Then, this work suggests some ways to identify learner resistances in online learning contexts and constructively engaging such resistances (to affirm learners, address identified issues, and promote learning, while maintaining factuality).

Abstrack The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the learning system in Indonesia from face-to-face in a room to online learning through electronic devices. Teachers/lecturers, students and students are forced to study from home because face-to-face learning is abolished to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The online learning model is still very rarely carried out by several universities considering that campus readiness in carrying out online lectures takes time, as well as student readiness to take online lectures requires time and process, therefore it is necessary to map students' perceptions of the implementation of online learning for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of students of the Faculty of Health Sciences UNW Mataram (FIK UNW Mataram) towards online learning during the Covid 19 Pandemic. This study was a descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was all students of FIK UNW Mataram which consisted of 3 study programs, namely D3 Pharmacy, D3 Midwifery, and D3 Nursing, totaling 247 people. This research was conducted in the Odd semester 2020/2021. The instrument used is a closed questionnaire about students' perceptions of online learning with answers that are degraded according to the Likert scale and have been validated by experts. The analysis technique used is descriptive. The results showed that descriptive analysis of the perception data of FIK UNW Mataram students towards online learning resulted in an average of 2.06 or a fairly good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that online learning at FIK UNW Mataram in the 2020/2021 Odd Semester was less effective. COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted teaching in a vriety of institutions. It has tested the readiness of academic institutions to deal with such abrupt crisis. Online learning has become the main method of instruction during the pandemic in Jordan. After 4 months of online education, two online surveys were distributed to investigate faculty’s and Students’ perception of the learning process that took place over that period of time with no face to face education. In this regard, the study aimed to identify both faculty’s and students’ perceptions of online learning, utilizing two surveys one distributed to 50 faculty members and another 280 students were selected randomly to explore the effectiveness, challenges, and advantages of online education in Jordan. The analysis showed that the common online platforms in Jordan were Zoom, Microsoft Teams offering online interactive classes, and WhatsApp in communication with students outside the class. The study found that both faculty and students agreed that online education is useful during the current pandemic. At the same time, its efficacy is less effective than face-to-face learning and teaching. Faculty and students indicated that online learning challenges lie in adapting to online education, especially for deaf and hard of hearing students, lack of interaction and motivation, technical and Internet issues, data privacy, and security. They also agreed on the advantages of online learning. The benefits were mainly self-learning, low costs, convenience, and flexibility. Even though online learning works as a temporary alternative due to COVID-19, it could not substitute face-to-face learning. The study recommends that blended learning would help in providing a rigorous learning environment.
