The purpose of this research is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Indonesian language learning during the corona pandemic through a home learning program (BDR) in grade VIII students of Karanggede Boyolali Integrated MTs. This study uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used are teacher interviews and questionnaires given to students. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers and grade VIII students of Karanggede Boyolali Integrated Mts. Based on the results of research on Indonesian language learning planning conducted by teachers include: Preparing KI and KD, Preparing syllabus, Preparing RPP prepared 1 sheet only and RPP made 1 meeting, Preparing prota and promes, Preparing academic kalander. Implementation of Indonesian language learning in Integrated MTs Karanggede Boyolali with method on came-close came. Evaluation of learning is done by reviewing meriview material with the holding of a short quiz, and for daily replays is done by submitting questions through google form. Recommended in activities through home learning programs (BDR), teachers are able to design learning activities from planning to evaluation in a simpler, creative and effective way.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan implementasi eufemisme dalam berita utama surat kabar Tempo sebagai bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian bahasa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik simak dan catat. Teknik simak dilakukan dengan cara menyimak teks berita yang terdapat dalam surat kabar Tempo dan teknik catat dilakukan dengan cara mencatat kata-kata atau kalimat-kalimat yang termasuk dalam penggunaan eufemisme dalam berita utama surat kabar Tempo. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan  eufemisme dalam berita utama surat kabar Tempo dapat diimplementasikan sebagai bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia materi teks berita kelas VIII. Hal ini dapat dilihat bahwa di dalam berita utama surat kabar Tempo memiliki kelengkapan unsur-unsur teks berita. Penggunaan eufemisme dalam teks berita berperan sebagai pembentuk moral baik kepada peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama karena memberikan dampak positif untuk perkembangan wawasan.

ABSTRAKPengungkapan gagasan menggunakan gaya bahasa/bahasa kias (majas) pada acara talkshow biasanya bertujuan untuk membangkitkan suasana tegang dan tanggapan beragam di antara penonton, selain untuk memperindah tuturan. Ini artinya majas tidak hanya diterapkan dalam kegiatan bersastra, melainkan juga dibutuhkan pada aspek-aspek terapan sehingga akan tercipta kondisi dan atau situasi yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif karena data yang dikumpulkan berupa tuturan-tuturan Najwa Shihab yang menggunakan banyak bahasa kias (majas) sehingga perlu dianalisis secara mendalam untuk mengetahui maksud dan tujuannya. Objek penelitian ini adalah lima tuturan Najwa Shihab dalam Acara Talkshow Mata Najwa Episode #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan yang berwujud pertanyaan yang ditujukan kepada Menteri Kesehatan RI, Terawan Agus Putranto yang diunggah pada kanal YouTube Mata Najwa pada tanggal 28 September 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang dilontarkan pemandu acara talkshow Mata Najwa, Najwa Shihab kepada Menteri Kesehatan RI, Terawan Agus Putranto dalam episode #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan mengandung majas yang bervariasi, yakni majas ironi, repetisi, paradoks, alegori, dan sinisme. Dari kelimanya, bisa disimpulkan bahwa majas sindiranlah yang mendominasi pertanyaan-pertanyaan Najwa Shihab pada episode tersebut yang penggunaannya difungsikan untuk mengubah perilaku seseorang/sasaran.Kata kunci: Najwa Shihab, MataNajwaMenantiTerawan, majasABSTRACT Expression of ideas using language style (figure of speech) aims to evoke a certain atmosphere and certain responses, in addition to beautifying speech. Thus, if figure of speech is applied not only in literary activities, but also in applied aspects, the expected situation conditions will be created. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Descriptive research is carried out because the data collected for research is in the form of information containing research documentation and the data obtained needs to be analyzed in depth in order to get a detailed picture of the things that support the research. The object of this research is the spoken language spoken by Najwa Shihab in the Mata Najwa Talkshow Episode #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan which was uploaded on the Mata Najwa YouTube channel on September 28, 2020 with more than six million viewers. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the questions asked by the talk show host Mata Najwa, Najwa Shihab to the Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto in the episode #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan contain various figures, namely irony, repetition, paradox, allegory, and cynicism. From the five, it can be concluded that satirical figure of speech dominate Najwa Shihab's questions in the episode whose use is used to change a person's / target's behavior.Keywords: Najwa Shihab, MataNajwaMenantiTerawan, majas

ABSTRACTBecause of Covid 19 pandemic, learning is done in online mode by using various online learning platform. This study aims at investigating the effect of scaffolding technique on students’ writing competency in online learning. To run this research, 60 eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Sukasada in the academic year 2020/2021 were chosen as the samples. This research applied nonequivalent control group design in which there were two groups compared, namely: scaffolding technique and conventional technique. The data of writing competency were collected by using performance test which were then scored by using analytical scoring rubric. The collected data were then analyzed by using independent sample t test. This research shows that there is no significant effect of Scaffolding technique on students’ writing competency with probability value of 0.606 (p>0,05).Keywords: Scaffolding technique, writing competency, skills

ABSTRACTIn this Covid 19 pandemic, learning should be done from distance through online learning. This study aims at investigating the effect of self-assessment on students’ self-efficacy and writing competency simultaneously and separately on online learning. To run this research, 52 eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Sukasada in the academic year 2020/2021 were chosen as the samples. This research applied nonequivalent control group design in which there were two groups compared, namely: self-assessment and conventional assessment. The data of writing competency were collected by using performance test which were then scored by using analytical scoring rubric, meanwhile self-efficacy data were collected by using questionnaire. The collected data were then analyzed by using One Way MANOVA. This research discovered: (1) there is no significant effect of self-assessment on self-efficacy and writing competency simultaneously (p>0.05), (2) there is no significant effect of self-assessment on writing competency separately (p>0.05), and 3) there is no significant effect of self-assessment on self-efficacy separately (p<0.05).

ABSTRAKTulisan ini adalah hasil kajian kepustakaan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkonseptualisasikan teknik penilaian diri dalam keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman yang relevan dengan keterampilan yang harus dikuasai dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan abad XXI. Untuk merumuskan hasil kajian kepustakaan, lebih dari tiga artikel yang relevan dipelajari, direview, dibandingkan, dan disajikan oleh penulis untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini. Hasil kajian kepustakaan menunjukkan bahwa teknik penilaian diri adalah sebuah teknik penilaian yang efektif dan cocok untuk digunakan dalam perkembangan pendidikan abad XXI, karena  teknik penilaian tersebut mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Selain itu, teknik penilaian diri juga dapat mengidentifikan kekuatan dan kelemahan mahasiswa, sehingga mahasiswa dapat berinstrospeksi diri. Dengan demikian, mahasiswa dapat lebih menyadari kelebihan yang ada dalam dirinya serta mampu memperbaiki kelemahan yang dimilikinya secara kritis.Kata kunci: Penilaian diri, pendidikan abad 21, keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman ABSTRACT This writing based on the result of literature review that aimed to figure out and conceptualize self-assessment technique in German speaking skill that is relevant with skills which have to be mastered in facing the challenge of education in 21st century. To formulate the results of the literature review, more than three relevant articles were studied, reviewed, compared, and presented by the author in order to obtain the aim of this research. The result of the literature review shows that self-assessment is  effective and suitable  to be used in  in 21st century learning, because it is can improve  student’s critical thinking. Furthermore, self-assessment technique also the students can identify their strength and weakness, so that students can introspect themselves. Therefore, students can be more aware of their own strengths and be able to critically improve their weaknesses.Keywords: Self-assessment, education in 21st century, German speaking skill

This study analyzed the quality of multiple-choice test used as middle test made by the English teachers in one school in Singaraja. This study was essential to be conducted since the items of the multiple-choice test must have good quality to be used to assess the students’ achievement levels. This study used content analysis method in analyzing100 items from 3 different instruments. In collecting the data, the checklist analysis form was used to compare the items of teacher-made multiple-choice test with the norms as one of the standards in making a good multiple-choice test, then clarified through interview. From the data that have been obtained, there are 72% of students who got bad scores in the middle test. There is 1% of the items has sufficient quality, 8% of items have good quality, and the rest of the items have very good quality. The most common mistake found is in the punctuation and capitalization. It is supported by the results of the interview, which show that the teachers did not know precisely the norm of punctuation and capitalization. It can be concluded that the teachers already follow the norms of making a multiple-choice test, and it is indicated that the quality of the multiple-choice test is not the only factor that affects students’ achievement levels.Keywords: instrument quality, norms, teacher-made multiple-choice test

This study aimed at investigating primary English teachers’ perceptions and implementation of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in teaching English to young learners, and the consistency between the teachers’ perceptions and implementation of PCK in teaching English to young learners. This study involved three English teachers from three different primary schools in Buleleng regency which were selected by using Convenience sampling technique.  The research design was embedded QUAL-quan mixed method. The instruments used to collect the data were questionnaire, observation sheet, and interview guide. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative. The study demonstrated that teachers had high perceptions of PCK. However, their PCK implementation was very low. Thus, there is no consistency between the perceptions and implementation of PCK. Moreover, based on the result of the interview, the teachers encountered some problems included difficulty in using English in speaking and writing, designing learning activities to facilitate students’ characteristics, choosing media that related to the material, and providing learning media due to lack of facility in the school. Therefore, schools administrators need to promote English teachers’ improvement of pedagogical content knowledge by proposing them to participate in the certain professional development program.

This study investigated the lexicons used in Tabuh Rah ceremony in Menyali village. This research was designed in the form of descriptive qualitative study. The focus of this study was to find out lexicons that exist in Tabuh Rah ceremony in Menyali village. The data of this study were obtained by conducting observation and interview with three informants who were from from Menyali village. The object of this study was Tabuh Rah lexicons that exist in Menyali village. The result of this study shows that there were seventy-one lexicons existing in Tabuh Rah ceremony in Menyali village. Those seventy-one lexicons were grouped based on their categories, including twelve lexicons which were concerned with series of events, fifteen lexicons dealt with Tabuh Rah facilities, six lexicons were found in roles in Tabuh Rah, three lexicons concerned with Tabuh Rah arena, four lexicons had something to do with kinds of offerings, twelve lexicons related to types of cocks, six lexicons dealt with types of taji pairings and thirteen lexicons were concerned with betting codes. All of the lexicons had their own meaning and function in the ceremony. The villagers kept using Tabuh Rah lexicons during the ceremony in order to maintain the language, especially maintaining Tabuh Rah lexicons in Menyali village.Keywords: Language maintenance, Tabuh Rah ceremony, Tabuh

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant and spontaneous changes to the realm of education, including learning performing arts in higher education. Face-to-face learning in the classroom was replaced by online learning. Teachers need to explore online learning applications to provide learning facilities at home. This paper presents a discussion regarding Edmodo-based online classroom implementation as a tool for distance learning. The implementation has been carried out on performing arts pedagogy courses, namely Curriculum & Instruction, Classroom Management, Instructional Technology, and Art's Learning Evaluation, in performing art education study programs. From the results of implementing the Edmodo, it is known that most students could pass courses based on their final grades. This implementation is an example of setting online design on the subject of other performing arts pedagogy.
