This study was to determine the use of learning media using augmented reality technology which is applied to senior high school students. The research method used in this research is quasi-experimental with the research design using treatment before and after the use of the learning media. Quasi experimental as an experiment that has treatment, impact measurement, experimental unit, but does not use random assignment to create comparisons in order to conclude changes caused by treatment. The results of the research conducted for the results of the pre-test or before the students received treatment were 69,2%, while the results of the post-test or after the students received treatment were 91%. Then for the average value of the combination of the two tests can be said to be good with the use of learning media using Augmented Reality technology, which is 80,1%. From these results it can be concluded that the application of learning media using Augmented Reality technology provides changes to student learning outcomes in terms of understanding the concept of physics, thus the application of learning media with Augmented Reality technology is successfully applied to high school students for physics subjects.

For senior high school students, learning concepts in physics is increasingly more difficult when the topic is abstract and cannot be seen with the unaided eye. The research here utilized augmented reality technology and instructional design following the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) to develop learning media for physics, specifically the kinetic theory of gases. Preliminary analysis was conducted in a senior high school to evaluate the challenges students face when learning physics. The design of the media was based on addressing problems that the students were having. Augmented reality technology was then utilized and the implementation aimed to incorporate the physics concepts into the product. The media was evaluated by six experts. Finally, the learning media presented real-time 3D animation of gas kinetic theory with three basic competencies relevant to the topic. In the final validation, the results indicated that the developed learning media had a validity value of 3.55 out of four-point scale and good quality outcomes. As such, the developed media regarding the kinetic theory of gases is valid and effective for the process of learning and teaching. It is ready to be tested and used in actual learning environments.

The objective of the study is to determine the effect of group counseling on academic stress of senior high school students. Academic stress is a student's response to academic demands that cannot be prevented, avoided or controlled. Respondents in this study were four senior high school students who had high academic stress scores. This study used a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Researchers measured respondents' academic scores before and after the group counseling was given. Researchers used the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) to measure the academic stress of respondents. The treatment given, which was group counseling, was given in five sessions. Researchers used anava repeated measures to analyze the data. From the statistical analysis conducted, it can be concluded that group counseling has a significant effect on reducing the academic stress of the research respondents. From the results of this study, researchers suggest that group counseling is effective for reducing academic stress in senior high school students.

Abstract. The purpose of this research was to know the effectiveness of pictures in writing class of senior high school students. It employed a quantitative method using the quasi-experimental design. The subject of the research was the third year students of on senior high school in Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The total number of population is 100 students which are distributed in 5 classes. Each class consists of 20 students. The sampling technique used in this research is cluster random sampling. The instrument was a writing test to obtain data on the students’ writing achievement through the pictures. Based on the result the researcher concluded that the pictures enhance the writing skill of senior high schools’ students.

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of problem posing approach in term of mathematical thinking skill of senior high school students. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the nonequivalent pretest and posttest group design. The population was year X students of State Senior High School 1 of Sakra Lombok Timur that consisted of six classes. The sample was two classes selected randomly from all Year X classes; class X-5 received a treatment of problem posing approach and class X-6 received as a control class. The instrument used is a test to measure mathematical thinking skill. To find out the effectiveness of problem posing approaches in the mathematical thinking skill, the data were analyzed using One Sample Test. The result of the study states that problem posing approach is effective in terms of the mathematical thinking skill of Senior High School Students.

The study deals with the developing interactive media for senior high school students. The objective of this study is to find out how to develop interactive media for better speaking skill of senior high school students. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was 2016/2017 students of the eleventh grade of Class XI IPA4 in SMAN 1 Batang Kuis. The number of the students was 30 students. The data of this study was collected by using need analysis questionnaire and experts’ judgment. Need analysis questionnaire was calculated by using percentage to get the information of students’ need before developing interactive media. Experts’ judgment was calculated by using likert data, mean and criteria interval of expert judgment to know the validity of interactive media which has been developed. After the data analyzed, it was found that the experts’ judgment result was 4.80 which had a very good criteria interval. The result of the research find that interactive media is a very good to be used in teaching speaking skill.
