Hedging is used to protect the value of a company’s assets or liabilities from exposure to fluctuations in the value of foreign currency. This study aims to investigate the conditions and influence of firm size, growth opportunities, leverage ratio, and financial distress either simultaneously or partially to the hedge policy of BUMN listed in the IDX period of 2013-2016. The sample in this study was chosen based on purposive sampling method, obtained from 16 BUMN companies with research period from 2013-2016. Data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and logistic regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that firm size, growth opportunities, leverage, and financial distress simultaneously have a significant effect on hedging policy. Partially, firm size and financial distress have a significant positive effect on hedging policy, leverage has a significant negative effect on hedging policy, while growth opportunity has a positive effect not significant to hedging policy.

This study aims to determine the effect of financial distress, company size, and corporate governance on audit delay. This research was conducted at mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The number of samples taken was 32 companies so that there were 96 observations, with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis found that financial distress and independent board of commissioners have positive effect on audit delay. Firm size, audit committee and institutional ownership have negative effect on audit delay. Keywords: Financial distress, firm size, corporate governance, audit delay

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of financial distress, growth opportunities, and dividend policies on firm value through company hedging policies. This research was conducted on property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2016-2018. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with several criteria, to get a sample size of 55 companies. The data analysis technique used is path analysis. Hypothesis testing shows that financial distress has a positive effect on hedging, while growth opportunities and dividend policy have no significant effect on hedging. Financial distress hurts firm value. Growth opportunities and dividend policy have a positive effect on firm value. This study also found that hedging has no significant effect on firm value. Also, this study is unable to prove the company's hedging policy as a mediating variable.

This study is conducted to see the effect of the company's firm size, growth opportunities, leverage and liquidity on the decision of hedging with foreign currency derivative instruments on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) period 2012-2015. The Data that is used on this study is a set of data panel with purposive sampling method, and the criteria for the sample is: (1) manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange period 2012 to 2015, (2) manufacturing companies that has transaction exposure ( liabilities and / or assets denominated in foreign currency, (3) manufacturing companies that has the data is needed for this study. The total sample of this study is 106 companies or 424 observation within 4 years. The Data analysis technique that is used on this study is logistic regression with z-statistic as hypotheses testing to test the regression coefficient with an alpha of 5%. The study result shows that firm size, growth opportunities and liquidity positively and Significantly Affect the decision of hedging with foreign currency derivative instruments, while leverage negatively and insignificantly Affect the decision of hedging with foreign currency derivative instruments.   Key words: firm size, growth opportunities, leverage, liquidity, hedging, derivatives, risk management

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of  leverage and  firm size on firm value with profitability as intervening variable on consumer goods industry  in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The population in this study are companies in the consumer goods industry Indonesian Stock Exchange amounted to 46 companies 2014-2017. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling, so that the final sample that is obtained is 21, a company incorporated in consumer goods industry in Indonesian Stock Exchange 2014-2017. Data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis and Sobel test. The result shows that leverage has significant negative effect on profitability  and firm size has significant positive effect on profitability. Leverage, firm size, and profitability have significant positive effect on firm value. Profitability mediates the effect of leverage on firm value significantly and profitability also mediates the effect of firm size  on firm value significantly.

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of financial ratios, namely liquidity ratios, leverage, profitability, activity, and growth on retail financial distress companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study was conducted during the period 2013-2017 with a total sample of 75 observations selected by non-probability sampling method, namely purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis. The results of the study prove that leverage ratios have a positive effect on financial distress. Profitability ratios and activity ratios have a negative effect on financial distress. The liquidity ratio and growth ratio have no effect on financial distress. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of ASEAN corporate governance scorecard, leverage, size, growth opportunities, and earnings pressure to accounting conservatism on Top Ranking 50 Companies ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. The population used in this research is Top Ranking 50 Companies ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard based on the assessments by Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The technique of sample selection used purposive sampling. Based on these criteria, obtained samples as much as 49 companies during the observation period 2013-2015. The analytical tool used in this study is the panel regression and hypothesis testing using t-test, f-test and the coefficient determination by used the program Eviews 9. These results indicate that the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard have a significant negative effect on accounting conservatism. Leverage, size, and growth opportinities have a significant positive effect on accounting conservatism, but earnings pressure has no significant effect on accounting conservatism.

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of financial distress with the Altman and Springate Models on stock returns either directly or indirectly by involving earnings management as a mediation. This study uses secondary data from Textile and Garment Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015-2019, with a sample of 20 companies using sampling so that 100 observations are obtained. The data is obtained from the annual financial statements. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS with the help of WarpPLS 6.0 software. The results of the study provide empirical evidence that financial distress has a positive effect on earnings management, while financial distress and earnings management has a negative effect on stock returns. Earnings management is able to mediate the effect of financial distress on stock returns.

Audit Delay is a period of time to complete the audit task from the closing date of the financial year to the date of completion of the audit report by an independent auditor. The purpose of this research is to examine whether there is an influence between auditor turnover, audit opinion and financial distress towards audit delay or not. This research was conducted at mining companies on the Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). There number of samples taken was 144, with nonprobability sampling method, especially purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by non-participant observation. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis found that auditor switching had no effect on audit delay. These indicates prove that wether there is a change of auditors or not has doesn’t affect the audit delay. Opinion of audit brought a negative effect on audit delay. Financial distress brought a positive effect on audit delay. The aim of this study is to obtain the influence of diversification policy and firm’s characteristics to the construction state owned enterprises (SOEs) firm’s value. The firm’s characteristics on this study are based on firm size, growth opportunities, and agency costs on some construction state-owned enterprise in Indonesia. The analysis method used in this research was panel data regression. These results indicate that the value of the company was affected by the company characteristic and it diversification. The entire independent variables such as diversification, firm size, growth opportunities, and agency costs had a significant effect on firm value. Business diversification and agency costs had a negative impact on firm value. Firm size and growth opportunities had a positive effect on firm value.DOI: 10.15408/etk.v11i1.1869

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of profitability ratio, liquidity ratio, leverage ratio, and operating capacity ratio on financial distress potential. The population in this study are mining companies listed on the Asia Tenggara Stock Exchange in the period 2017-2019. The sample in this study amounted to 140 samples obtained from 84 companies for 3 years with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique in this study is panel data regression analysis using eviews 9. The results showed that profitability did no influenced the finacial distress potential, liquidity ratio did no influenced the finacial distress potential, leverage ratio did no influenced the finacial distress potential, and operating capacity ratio has a negative effect on finacial distress potential.
