The Effect of Inquiry and Cooperative Learning Model On Students Cognitive Skills in  Animalia Topic in SMA Negeri 11  Medan. A Thesis. Medan: Postgraduate Program State University of Medan, 2016.This research aims to determine the effect of the learning model on: (1) Students Cognitive Skills in SMA Negeri 11 Medan. The research applied experimental queasy method research with 3 classes which were choosing by using cluster random sampling technique. The class X7 learn with inquiry learning model, class X8 with cooperative (Group Investigation) learning model, and while class X9 (control) with conventional learning model. The research instrument were the test of cognitive skills in essay test. The data analysis technique used Covariat Analysis at the level of significance α = 0.005 by using SPSS 21.0. The results showed that: (1) there was significant effect of learning model on students’ cognitive skills (F= 15.916; P= 0.000). The cognitive skills learn by inquiry learning model (87.46±5.404) is significant higher than cooperative (Group Investigation) learning model (83.13 ± 6.509), and conventional learning model (79.73±6.329). The study imply that expected to the teachers to be able to conduct inquiry and cooperative (Group Investigation) learning in Animalia topic as the effort to improve the cognitive skills.

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking skills of students. This type of research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent group design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained class XI MIA 1 as experiment class and class XI MIA 2 as control class. The research instrument is a essay test of 5 questions that have been tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and different power of problems. The learning data of the two classes is normally distributed. Based on the homogenity data obtained both homogeneous. Data were analyzed by MANOVA test. Result of data analysis show significance  0,021 if  determined the level of significance 0,05 then 0,021<0,05. Based on these facts it can be concluded that there is influence of guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking skills of students.

Based on the theory, the success of students in learning is determined by learning model applied by the teacher and students’ independent learning skills. This research is a quasi experimental research with pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was students of class XI SMA N 3 Tebo in 2019/2020 academic year. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The research instruments used mathematical cognitive tests and student independent learning questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is two-way variance analysis with 3 × 3 factorial design. Based on the results of this researh, we can concluded that (1) There is a difference in the average of students’ mathematics cognitive skills based on the applied learning model, (2) There are differences in the average of students mathematics cognitive learning outcomes based on the level of independent learning, (3) there is no interaction between Discovery learning model and independent learning towards students’ mathematics cognitive skills.

Abstract: Lack of practical activities in schools can result in a decrease in the creativity of students. worksheets based on the discovery learning model in them trigger students to think creatively and critically. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. The purpose of this study is to look at the improvement of skills competencies which are assisted by student worksheets based on the discovery learning model. The data analysis technique is testing hypotheses where there is a difference which means the use of this student worksheet. Hypothesis testing conditions are to carry out normality tests for skill scores from both sample classes and homogeneity tests to see the distribution of values from two sample classes that have homogeneous data. after treatment is obtained, the average value of the skills of the experimental class is 78.62 and for the control class is 70.10.Abstrak: Kurangnya kegiatan praktikum di sekolah dapat mengakibatkan penurunan kreativitas siswa. lembar kerja berbasis model discovery learning di dalamnya memicu siswa untuk berpikir kreatif dan kritis. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peningkatan kompetensi keterampilan yang dibantu oleh lembar kerja siswa berdasarkan pada model pembelajaran penemuan. Teknik analisis data menguji hipotesis di mana ada perbedaan yang berarti penggunaan lembar kerja siswa ini. syarat pengujian hipotesis adalah untuk melakukan tes normalitas untuk skor keterampilan dari kedua kelas sampel dan tes homogenitas untuk melihat distribusi nilai dari dua kelas sampel yang memiliki data homogen. setelah perawatan diperoleh, nilai rata-rata keterampilan dari kelas eksperimen adalah 78,62 dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah 70,10.

This research is aimed to examine the effect of guided inquiry learning model toward physics students’ concept mastery and science process skills at class XI of MAN 2 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. This is experiment research with posttest-only control group design. The Population of this research is all students of class XI MIA MAN 2 Mataram. The sampling technique used is purposive and cluster random sampling, which is the students of class XI MIA 5 as experiment and XI MIA 4 as control group. The experiment group was treated with guided inquiry learning model while the control group was treated with conventional learning. Technique of collectig data of the mastery concept using essay test 8 question, the skills of science process using non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. The hypothesis was tested using manova based SPSS 16.0. The result of manova test showed that there was an effect of guided inquiry learning model toward mastery of concept and skill of science process.

This study aims to analyze the differences of generic skills through the application of inquiry learning model and Problem Based Learning (PBL) in review of the students' different academic ability in SMAN 1 Kayangan. The type of research is quassi experiment with 2x2 factorial design. The population in this study are all students of science class X1, X2 and X3 in SMAN 1 Kayangan with sampling using purposive sampling technique, so that the samples taken are class X science 1 and class X science 2 by implementing different learning model. Data analysis technique using anakova test. Hypothesis test results obtained Fcount = 20,441 with significance level 0,000 (p <0,05) indicate there are difference of generic science skill significant between class X science 1 with mnggunakan inquiry model and kels X science 2 by using PBL learning model. Result of hypothesis test of generic science skill with applying of inquiry learning model to academic ability obtained Fhitung = 34.448 with significance level 0,000 (p <0,05) indicates the interaction of inquiry learning model and PBL toward generic science skill. The type of this study is a quasi-experiment study with its purpose to know any difference of students’ achievement in mathematics which using the model of guided discovery learning with cooperative learning model JIGSAW type.The population of this study is all students in SMA N 3 P. Siantar. The sampling technique applied was cluster random sampling. The experimental class I that chosen is X-1 consisted of 36 students, meanwhile the experimental class II that chosen is X-6 consisted of 36 students. The instrument used to measure the students’ mathematics achievement was a essay test. The normality test used was Lilliefor’s test, gotten that data is normal and the homogeneity test by using Fisher test, gotten that data is homogeny. The data analysis technique was t-test at the level of significance a = 5%. The study result showed that there is the difference of students’ achievement in mathematics which using the guided discovery learning model with cooperative learning model JIGSAW type in grade X SMA N 3 P. The background of this research is because 79,33% of students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin have not reached the value of completeness in Middle Semester test. This is because students tend to memorize the concept, but do not know how the concept is obtained, and not able to apply the concept in a new situation. This study aims to analyze differences in learning outcomes by using the 5E learning model and Generative Learning in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. This research is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Based on the technique, obtained sample that is class XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA 4. Instrument of this research is test result of learning, that is pretest and postest. Data analysis technique using t-test. The results showed that there are differences in learning outcomes of learners between the 5E learning model and Generative Learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes in class X virus material in UISU Medan Private High School. The research method uses descriptive research methods and types of correlational research to see if there is an effect of using the inquiry model on self-controlling teachers with a research sample of 2 classes that were randomly assigned using cluster random sampling technique. In class X-1 they are taught the guided inquiry learning model, and class X-2 is taught using the conventional learning model. The instrument used in this study was a test of critical thinking skills in the form of a written test. The data analysis technique uses correlation regression. Based on the calculation, it is found that there is an influence in the use of the Inquiry Model on Teacher Self-Controlling with a value of r = 0.43, in the value of Covariate Analysis using SPSS, namely 55.20 ± 15.65, which is significantly greater than the class control that is equal to 50.10 ± 11.44. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant influence in the use of the Inquiry model on Teacher Self-Controlling at the real level α = 0.05.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih pada materi sistem saraf manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2018 sampai dengan bulan Juli 2019 di SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih sebanyak 3 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes tulis hasil belajar pada materi sistem saraf manusia yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran berlangsung. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ancova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi sistem saraf manusia di kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih.Abstract. This research was conducted from September 2018 until July 2019 at SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih. The research used the true experiment method. The population in this study were all XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih as many as 3 classes. The sample used was 2 classes, namely class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 as the control class taken by cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the form of tests of learning outcomes on the nervous system subject was conducted before and after learning process were taken place. The datas were analyzed by using the Ancova test. The results showed that there was the effect guided inquiry learning model toward learning outcomes of students on nervous system subject in XI MIPA classes at SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih.
