Several studies show that EFL novice teachers often feel stress as they encounter shock from the rapid shift of a student to a teacher. Stress experienced by EFL novice teachers occurs because of internal or external factors. Stress which cannot be regulated will result in teacher burnout that can lead them to leave the profession. This qualitative study intended to investigate EFL novice teachers’ stress factors and coping strategies which influence their professional identity construction. The data was obtained by conducting an in-depth interview with three EFL novice teachers. The findings showed that EFL novice teachers experienced stress because of three factors, namely, personal, interpersonal, and organization factors. Despite feeling stress, EFL novice teachers demonstrated their abilities to cope with the circumstances. The participants elaborated how they cope with the situations as well as how stress factors influenced their identity as teachers. This study provides some suggestions for future researchers and EFL novice teachers.

Discipline is important in learning process as it could affect the success of learning process. Therefore, students should be responsible for their own behavior and keep the class conducive. Unfortunately, based on the researcher’s observation in grade VIII at a private school, the students had disciplinary problems. They came late to class, made noises when the teacher was explaining, and slept during class. Based on theories and journals, the researcher decided to implement classroom procedures, rules, and consequences. The purposes of this research were to know whether and how the implementation of the method can improve students’ discipline. The research method used was Pelton’s Model of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of research were 30 students from class VIII B. The research was conducted from August 14th to October 23rd, 2018. The instruments used were observation checklist forms, mentor’s feedback and researcher journal reflection that were analyzed by using simple statistics. Data analysis results showed that the average of indicator percentage of students' discipline improved 13% from 70% in Issue Identification to 83% Plan activation based on mentor’s observation after the implementation of the method. As conclusion, the implementation of classroom procedures, rules, and consequences could improve grade VIII students’ discipline by implementing all indicators of the method, which are: created a few rules, told the reason for each rule, created reasonable and logical consequences, explained procedures, rules, and consequences clearly, rehearsed procedures, reinforced correct procedures, and be consistent in implementing procedures, rules, and consequences.

This research was conducted in grade IV in SD 1 Tritis and SD 1 Karangnongko, combined as the experimental group, while SD 1 Daren and SD 3 Nalumsari as a control group, all in Nalumsari District, Jepara Regency. The results showed the t-test results found that t arithmetic> T table is 8.994> 1699, the value data were analyzed with a significance level of 0.05. So, as the basis for decision making, it can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that multicultural-based learning is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of elementary schools.

Improving the quality of education in Indonesia can be developed through the implementation of education reform. One form of educational reform can be done by using a learning approach that can assist teachers in producing experts using the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach. The initial findings revealed only about 47.8% of elementary school students in Wae Ri'i sub-district (grade V) who still had not achieved satisfactory scientific and mathematical scores according to the minimum passing grade. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the STEM approach in improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in Wae Ri'i District. The research method used is an experimental design with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were elementary school students in five (5) elementary schools in Wae Ri'i District. The results shows the sig (2-tailed) value of Equal variances is assumed to be 0.000 <0, 05. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills after students used the STEM-PBL approach, compared to innovative K13 approach. The average scores of the control class critical thinking skills for the pre-test and post-test were 38 and 79.5. The fixed coefficient is 0.676 and is significant at 0.000. This means that the correlation is positive. Therefore, learning with STEM approach is proven to be effective in improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in Wae Ri'i sub-district.

Covid-19 forces the traditional classroom learning method to go online; while teachers nowadays struggle to adapt to this new technology, the EdTech firm's market is increasing. That 44 startups were categorized as Unicorn in 2020. Rather than just referring to the analysis of EdTech's functions that help schools conventionally, this study also looks at the theory of economic-based interaction between education-based organizations that threaten schools' meaning and function that shift during this pandemic to online. Based on this premise, we can identify the features of EdTech, which overlap with conventional schools. Our method is conducting Descriptive Analysis based on observed data derived from validated formal research and put them into three dimensional business model patterns to get evidence of the organization’s strategic or tactical operations. This research aims to address whether the emerging of EdTech firms becomes a threat to traditional schools. This work also finds the core value, which drives student's motivation toward learning outcomes in Indonesia. Based on the research, superior ICT technology adaptation plays an essential key in educational activities. It means that EdTech can provide dependence on schools which not yet comply with these features so that when they had cooperation, EdTech can direct or even changing the school’s original values. This cooperation dependency can challenge the school’s operation cost, increasing the risk of supply and management, involving consumer-related decision-making that always benefited EdTech rather than schools.
