The research aims to describe the level of creative thinking ability of students in solving mathematics olympiad problems based on students' metacognition levels by using the qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the students at State of Junior High School (SMPN) 2 Jember involving the learning of Olympiad mathematics. The data collection was carried out based on the student's creative thinking ability test sheets, interviews, and observations. Test questions given to the students were mathematics olympiad questions. The analysis of the Miles and Huberman models were used for data analysis. The results exhibited that the level of creative thinking skills of the students in solving mathematics Olympiad questions were 29.41% (less creative), 41.18% (quite creative), 11.76% (creative) and 17.65% (very creative). On the other hand, the metacognitive level of SMPN 2 Jember students were 64.71% at level 2 (aware use), 23.53% at level 3 (strategic use) and 11.76% at level 4 (reflective use). In addition, the literatures indicate that there are several factors affectting the creative thinking skills and metacognition level, among them is an understanding of the information of the problem, compiling an appropriate strategies, skills of the chosen strategy, skills of answer elaboration, mastery of the Mathematics Olympiad material and a tendency to rely on the memorization or imitations based on previous or discussed solutions.

This study aims to reveal students' mathematical creative thinking skills which include indicators of fluency, flexibility, and originality by describing students' answers in solving cube and block problems. This research was conducted on the superior grade VIII students of MTsN 1 Makassar, totaling 39 students. The research subjects were taken as many as 6 people using the criteria for high, medium, and low group levels, every 2 students at each level. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 4 items of description with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking skills including the three indicators were very good based on the percentage value of each indicator being above 50%. In the fluency indicator, the percentage value is 100% for item number 1 and 95.83% for question number 2, the percentage value of the flexibility indicator for item number 2 and 4 is 95.83% and 91.67%, respectively, and the percentage value of the novelty indicator is questions number 2 and 4 are 75% and 70.83%, respectively. From the three indicators above, the percentage value of students' creative thinking ability is low when compared to the other two indicators, this shows that students are less able to produce unusual answers/ideas and the suitability of the answers given is very irrelevant to the problem.

The research describes the students' creative thinking ability in solving open-ended questions based on mathematics ability. Indicators of the ability to think creatively used in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were eighth-grade students of Baitul Fattah Junior High School, Sambikerep, Surabaya, 2019/2020 school year. The instruments used were the mathematics ability test, creative thinking ability test, and interview. The sum of the subjects who do the mathematics ability test is 30 students, the researcher chooses six students for the creative thinking test. Of the six students, three students were select to be an interview. There are five levels of TKBK (Creative Thinking Ability Level), namely fourth level (very creative), third level (creative), second level (quite creatives), first-level (less creative), and level 0 (not creatives). Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that subjects with high ability have TKBK at the third level, namely creative with the acquisition of a score of four. Subjects with moderate ability have TKBK at the fourth level, namely highly creative with the acquisition of a score of thirty-six. While subjects with low ability have TKBK at the first level, namely are less creative with the acquisition of a score of thirteen.

This study aims to analyze the mathematical creative thinking ability of junior high school students in Cimahi with indicators used in opinion there are 4 components, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Finding different new ideas including mathematical creative thinking skills. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The instruments in the form of 5 items in the opportunity material were given to 30 students for research, one of the SMPs in Cimahi City. In this study it was found that mathematical creative thinking ability according to is included in the high category.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.

The aim of this study was determine the differences of the ability of mathematical creative thinking and the differences in the increase between classes using Problem Based Learning (control class) and the class that uses a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram. The research method used is quasi experimental design of non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII junior high school in Kuningan in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018.� Through purposive sampling technique, 2 classes of 10 classes were selected as samples where the class VIIA as the control class and VIIB as experimental class with a total sample of 70 students. Data collection techniques were obtained through mathematical creative thinking ability test and data analysis technique included normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. The results showed that there were difference in mathematical creative thinking ability and there were difference in the increase between the classes using Problem Based Learning and the classes using a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Socioscientific Issues learning approach to improving students' creative thinking ability. Learning with the Socioscintific Issues approach needs to be trained because it not only develops creative thinking skills, but also other abilities can be developed such as critical thinking skills, decision-making and arguing ability. The research method that will be used is quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group. This research was conducted at State Junior High School 6 Sukabumi with research population that is class VII (Seven). The sampling technique used is Purposing Sampling. Indicators of creative thinking that is sensitivity, thinking smoothly, thinking flexible, original thinking and thinking detailing. The results showed that the average value of N-gain of the experimental class was 0.56 higher than the control class of 0.44. The results of the z test show that the data produced in accordance with the criteria is zhitung = 3.177> ztabel = 1.998 with a trust level of 0.05 (5%), meaning H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, it means that the Socioscientific Issues learning approach influences the creative thinking ability of learners water pollution material. The response of learners to the learning approach Socioscientific Issue gave a positive response on the approach of learning approaches Socioscientific Issues.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Socioscientific Issues.

Students' low creative thinking skills and difficulty in drawing graphs from the given algebraic equations are the background of this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical creative thinking abilities between Android-based GeoGebra and ordinary learning. This study also investigated students’ responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The instruments were a creative thinking test and a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students of one of the junior high school in Cianjur selected by purposive sampling technique. The studied material was the quadratic equations as a part of algebra. The gain index data analysis technique used was the normality test and the Mann Whitney test while the questionnaire data responses were analyzed through the average percentage of students’ answers. As a result, the students' mathematical creative thinking ability with Android-based GeoGebra was better than ordinary learning. Also, the students provided positive responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra.

Learning activities that utilize digital technology for online learning are an alternative during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of electronic comic media based on problem-based learning integrated with Islamic values to improve students' creative thinking skills. This study uses a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model. The subjects in the study were 90 students of class VIII. Data collection techniques using research instruments with quantitative data analysis. The data collection instrument was by giving essay questions in the form of a creative thinking ability test. The study of creative thinking skills by calculating the N-gain and the significance test was carried out using an average difference test through a t-test with the help of SPSS. The results showed that the value of significance (2 tailed) from the two schools, namely 0.00 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average creative thinking ability of the pretest and posttest both at SMP N 3 Watumalang and at SMP IT Permata Hati, which means that there is an effect of using E-Comic media in improving students' creative thinking skills

AbstractThe ability to think mathematically creative is one of the competency standards for graduate students at the vocational level. Based on the results of previous studies said that the mathematical creative thinking ability of vocational students is very low and the interview of researchers in several mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru vocational school said that Pekanbaru vocational students were accustomed to mathematical problems according to the teacher's example and it was recognized that teachers lacked daily problems. This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking ability of vocational students in Pekanbaru City in row and series material. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument used was a mathematical creative thinking ability test with 4 indicators namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Questions in the form of a breakdown test were taken from the SMK National Exam question bank and given to 36 students of class X TKJ-2 SMKN 2 Pekanbaru. From the test results it can be concluded that the percentage of mathematical creative thinking ability of SMKN 2 students is at the ability to think creatively enough at 42%. Where the fluency indicator is 56%, the indicator of Authenticity (originality) is 38%, the Elaboration indicator is 46% and the indicator of Flexibility is 28%.Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir kreatif Matematis, Barisan dan Deret
