this article presents a conceptual, architectural and organizational model for the realization of a smart city based on a holistic paradigm as its cornerstone and on the new technologies as its enabling tools. The model is based on the concept of integration of the data belonging to different systems, through the development of a middleware, which allows the retrieval of data from various sources and their storage in a standard format in a new centralized database. The article also illustrates a real project concerning the integration of different sensor networks for the environmental monitoring that exemplifies and implements the main topics discussed. The issues related to its "governance" are also highlighted, not only from a strategic point of view, but also, and above all, from the perspective of its maintenance, which is an important and crucial feature for its "survival" over time.

Di era Internet of Things (IoT). Siapapun dapat mengakses data dimanapun dan kapanpun. Semua data yang tersimpan dapat diakses dengan menggunakan perangkat seperti smartphone, laptop, dan komputer. Salah satu dari teknologi Internet of Things adalah smart city untuk memonitoring lingkungan. Untuk dapat mengetahui kondisi dan kualitas suatu lingkungan, seseorang tidak perlu lagi menunggu pengumuman informasi atau datang ke instansi terkait di pemerintahan. Pemanfaatan IoT pada monitoring lingkungan dapat di terapkan pada bidang peternakan. Hal ini dapat membantu seseorang dalam mengetahui kualitas dari kondisi lingkungan yang akan dimanfaatkan untuk peternakan. Dalam hal ini adalah bagaimana mengetahui peternakan yang cocok untuk diterapkan dilingkungan yang dia tuju untuk membangun peternakan sapi atau peternakan ayam. Menggunakan perangkat wireless sensor networks (WSN) untuk melakukan pengambilan nilai dari kondisi lingkungan tersebut dapat membantu mengetahui kondisi dan kualitas lingkungan. IoT membantu seseorang untuk membuka usaha dibidang peternakan yang cocok untuk wilayah tersebut tanpa harus melakukan banyak survey yang menelan banyak biaya. Hanya dengan menggunakan teknologi IoT siapapun dapat mendapatkan data kualitas lingkungan yang cocok untuk membuka sebuah peternakan dengan kondisi lingkungan yang sudah diketahui sebelumnya. Kata kunci: Internet of Things, Kondisi Lingkungan, Peternakan, Smart City, WSN. In the Internet of Things era (IoT). Everyone can access the data in anywhere and anytime. All stored data can be accessed using end devices such as smartphones, laptops and computers. One of the IoT technologies is a smart city for monitoring the environment. To be able to know the condition and quality of an environment, everyone does not need to wait for the announcement of information or come to the relevant agencies in the government. Utilization of IoT on Environmental Monitoring can be applied to the field of ranch. in this case it will be used for helping someone in knowing the quality of environmental conditions that will be used for. In this case it is how to find out which ranchs are suitable to be applied in the environment from the user that he want to construct cow or chicken ranch. Using wireless sensor networks (WSN) to retrieve values from these environmental conditions can help determine the condition and quality of the environment. IoT helps someone to open a business in field of ranchs that is suitable for region without having to do many survey. Only by using IoT, anyone can get suitable environmental quality data to open a ranch with environmental conditions that have been known before.Keywords: Environmental conditions, Internet of Things, Ranch, Smart City, WSN.

The term biometrics is derived from the Greek words: bio (life) and metrics (to measure). “Biometric technologies” are defined as automated methods of verifying or recognizing the identity of a living person based on a physiological or behavioral characteristic. Several techniques and features were used over time to recognize human beings several years before the birth of Christ. Today, this research field has become very employed in many applications such as security applications, multimedia applications and banking applications. Also, many methods have been developed to strengthen the biometric accuracy and reduce the imposture errors by using several features such as face, speech, iris, finger vein, etc. From a security purpose and economic point of view, biometrics has brought a great benefit and has become an important tool for governments and institutions. However, citizens are expressing their thorough worry, which is due to the freedom limitations and loss of privacy. This paper briefly presents some new technologies that have recently been proposed in biometrics with their levels of reliability, and discusses the different social and ethic problems that may result from the abusive use of these technologies.

The coronavirus pandemic has a number of consequences for the management of various types of market entities. This also applies to the sphere of culture, the specificity of which is expressed, among others, in the processes of creation and reception of artworks, as well as the functions performed by cultural goods, the multiplicity of forms of participation in culture and high uncertainty of demand. New technologies that find application in the sphere of culture, including the Internet, cause that the processes of creating, distributing, and promoting cultural goods have been changing over time. It has also been associated with redefining the divisions and roles performed by professional creators and consumers of their works. However, during the coronavirus pandemic, the importance of the Internet in managing the value for culture consumers has changed. The purpose of the paper is to show the role of the Internet at various stages of the process of management of the value for a participant in culture during the coronavirus pandemic and the potential of new media from the point of view of maintaining relationships with consumers. The paper is based on in-depth studies of literature and research reports, the analysis of activities conducted on the Internet by selected cultural institutions, as well as the results of own empirical research of a qualitative nature, which were performed among participants in culture.

Though new technologies have been applied in all industries, electric mobility technology using eco-friendly energy is drawing a great deal of attention. This research focuses on a personal electric mobility system for urban tourism. Some tourism sites such as Gyeongju, Korea, have broad spaces for tourists to walk around, but the public transportation system has been insufficiently developed due to economic reasons. Therefore, personal mobility technology such as electric scooters can be regarded as efficient alternatives. For the operation of electric scooters, a charging infrastructure is necessary. Generally, scooters can be charged via wires, but this research suggests an advanced electric personal mobility system based on wireless electric charging technology that can accommodate user convenience. A mathematical model-based optimization was adopted to derive an efficient design for a wireless charging infrastructure while minimizing total investment costs. By considering the type of tourists and their tour features, optimal locations and lengths of the static and dynamic wireless charging infrastructure are derived. By referring to this research, urban tourism can handle transportation issues from a sustainable point of view. Moreover, urban tourism will have a better chance of attracting tourists by conserving heritage sites and by facilitating outdoor activities with electric personal mobility.

In the context of the Finnish welfare state, this article examines the role of occupational welfare in the interplay between public and occupational sickness benefits from 1947 to 2016, to analyse how the two sickness benefits have interacted over time and the role occupational welfare has played in sickness provision. Previous research has noted that occupational benefits may support or compensate for the much-debated declining welfare state. Hence, it is important to acquire greater knowledge about the public-occupational interplay. The study uses in-depth individual-level analysis from a retrospective point of view, which has been rare in previous research, and examines the public-occupational interplay in the Finnish sickness benefit system from the first national collective agreements to 2016. Based on the reforms made to the public system, the article identifies and utilises six different phases of the Finnish sickness allowance system in the main analysis. The institutional development of sickness provision is investigated by analysing the compensation rate and benefit period, using metalworkers as a representative example of blue-collar workers. The results indicate that occupational benefits are strongly institutionalised in the Finnish sickness benefit system. The interplay between statutory and occupational sickness benefits has taken different forms over time, and occupational benefits have been re-negotiated as the statutory system has been reformed. The article provides valuable information on the historical development and relevance of occupational welfare, in terms of not only understanding its significance for individuals but also comprehending the logic of the interplay in the public-private mix of welfare provision.

By sharing their world, humans and other animals sustain each other. Their world gets determined over time as generations of animals act in it. Current approaches to psychological science, by contrast, start from the assumption that the world is already determined before an animal’s activity. These approaches seem more concerned with uncertainty about the world than with the practical indeterminacies of the world humans and nonhuman animals experience. As human activity is making life increasingly hard for other animals, this preoccupation becomes difficult to accept. This article introduces an ecological approach to psychology to develop a view that centralizes the indeterminacies of a shared world. Specifically, it develops an open-ended notion of “affordances,” the possibilities for action offered by the environment. Affordances are processes in which (a) the material world invites individual animals to participate, while (b) participation concurrently continues the material world in a particular way. From this point of view, species codetermine the world together. Several empirical and methodological implications of this view on affordances are explored. The article ends with an explanation of how an ecological perspective brings responsibility for the shared world to the heart of psychological science.
