The article presents the theoretical and practical approach to the essence of Porter’s Five Forces model and its relationship with the map of strategic groups. The aim of the article is to present the results of research on the competitive struggle within the sector of Car Communication Enterprises. The tool of Porter’s Five Forces model was used, as well as a map of strategic groups. The research sample included Car Comunication Enterprises that belong under public sector. The research showed that the intensity of the competition in the analyzed sector is significant. The presented results should be treated as part of a comprehensive strategic analysis of enterprises. Each company should treat these results as models and at the same time adapt them to its own conditions. The research results may be an introduction to further analyzes concerning Car Comunication Enterprises sector.

The article deals with the issues of the functioning of enterprises in the conditions of crisis. It presents the specifics of crisis management and proposals for remedial actions that should be considered by companies affected by the crisis. The main thesis of the article is that company management in crisis situations is based on a combination of reactive and prospective decisions taken in order to counteract the destabilization of its functions. The research problem boils down to answering the question: whether and to what extent, in the face of the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, are micro and small enterprises inclined to make quick prospective decisions? For the purposes of this article, a survey method was carried out, which enabled the implementation of the main goal of the article, which was to identify and assess the usefulness of actions taken and solutions implemented by the surveyed entities in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic. The adopted research hypothesis assumes that micro and small enterprises, in the face of a pandemic, make quick, prospective decisions to a limited extent.

The aim of this article is to identify the structure of physical investment financing in the Czech corporate sector. The data used in the conducted analyzes are derived from national accounts and more specifically the two accounts included in the accumulation accounts, ie.: the capital account and financial account. The article uses the methodology of net sources of finance initially developed by C. Mayer. It uses the flow of funds rather than stock data.

The aim of the article is to present a new form of business activity which is P.S.A. (Prosta Spółka Akcyjna). The provisions of the Commercial Companies Code, provisions of the balance sheet and tax law as well as the author’s professional experience were used for the analysis. Research results: A simple joint-stock company may be a competitive form of running a business in relation to a limited liability company. The discussed provisions constitute a great opportunity for a simple joint-stock company and a likely high percentage of establishing this type of business activity. The SWOT analysis was used as the research method. Contribution to the development of the discipline: review of the current legal regulations in Poland, comparison of forms of business activity and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of a simple joint-stock company.

Risk management is one of the most important areas in modern business management. Risk is an integral part of the functioning of all economic entities, including enterprises. At a time of intense development of information technology, cybersecurity can be considered an important determinant of risk, which has a significant impact on all activities undertaken by the company. In the COVID-19 emergency, most organizations were forced to move some areas of their operations into cyberspace, increasing their exposure to cybersecurity risks. The purpose of this article is to identify methods and techniques to protect against the negative consequences of cyber security risks in Polish companies in the era of COVID-19 epidemic threat.

The concept of quality is not easy to define, it varies according to context, and its meaning changes over time. From the initial focus on the properties of the product, this term has gradually evolved into a broader category, in which, apart from the product, the processes related to its creation are also important, not only production processes, but also, for example, working conditions or relations between the organization and the environment. Currently, quality management is at the center of attention of both scientists and practitioners. The aim of the article is to answer the question what is the role of quality management in management science and what is its essence. The narrative literature review was conducted. The main principles of modern quality management systems and the importance of the Total Quality Management (TQM) concept in management science and business practice have been identified. In particular, attention was paid to the impact of the TQM implementation on the increase of companies’ performance and competitiveness. The proposed directions of future research were also indicated.

The objective of the study is to present the nature and the selected classifications of the sources of innovation as well as to identify the most important sources from the point of view of enterprises operating in Poland. In order to achieve this objective, the author presents the aspects of innovative activities of enterprises in Poland, as well as the evolution of the models of the innovation processes – from linear models to the open innovation model. The author’s analysis is based on literature studies and a review of the results of selected secondary research conducted in Poland over the course of the last several years. The main research tool used in the study is the desk research method. The results of existing studies indicate that enterprises identify the work of the management personnel as the most important source of innovation. In the conclusion of the study the author presents her own approach to the problem, leading to a list of recommendations for managers interested in increasing the innovativeness of their companies. The author also presents open conclusions, including recommendations for further research in the area of sources of innovation.

Contents included in this paper relate to problematic of delivery of public services on the principles of cooperation between public party and private party. The aim of this article comes down to assessment of development of public-private partnership in Poland from the realization of public services point of view. At the beginning of this consideration the role of self-government in process of satisfying common citizens’ needs has been highlighted. In this area particular attention has been paid to issue of public services, within which definition and their classification have been shown. Possibility of external entities’ participation in the process of public services realization has been also underlined. Emphasis has been placed on public-private partnership. In this context theoretical assumptions of this cooperation form have been presented, moreover current, national regulation and cooperation categories widespread in EU countries have been highlighted. Analysis of public-private partnership market in Poland with regard to contracts concluded in order to delivery of public services by local governments has been carried out. At the end conclusions and directions of further research have been indicated.

The article refers to the assessment of managerial competence level. The aim of the article is to show that assessment of managerial competence is conditioned by many factors, it proceeds in different ways and brings, depending on the implementation, different results. The article uses selected fragments of research carried out by the author in Slovakia in the period from 1999, updated until today. The article points out the relevance of evaluated and evaluated competences referring to holistic aspects of this evaluation.

The aim of the article is to analyze, from statistical and econometric perspectives, the dynamics of Poles’ economic activity, in particular, an attempt at a statistical measurement of the impact of select phenomena conditioning the labor market. Key considerations are preceded by a presentation the historical and current demographic situation in Poland. Problems of foreign migration and the aging of the Polish society were investigated. Moreover, impact of social policies on the labor market was analyzed, including the “Family 500+” program as well as regulations concerning retirement age. The study utilizes quantitative methods of time series analysis, including the time series models taking into account the occurrence of turning points. The results of research show, that: in the near future the Polish demographic situation will not improve, the lowering of retirement age is a threat to the labor market, the “500+” program not only did not influence a rise in fertility rate but lowered the rate of economic activity of women.
