The article presents the study of experimental curves of the spectral spectra of radio waves of the FM-range developed on a laboratory model. The algorithm was used to define sections, for which the complexity function took locally minimal values. The standard was determined for each section of the curve, in which all the arithmetic mean ordinates of all areas correspond to the certain class. For a more extended linguistic description of the experimental curves, it is proposed to compile the description taking into account the location of the curve sections on the abscissa axis. The obtained extended linguistic description of the curve will reflect not only classes of simple events, but their phases as well. As a result of applying the linguistic analysis system for the analysis of spectral radiograms, it can be inferred that the experimental curves are presented in the form of short and reliable rules for the analysis of the radiogram spectrum. The use of standards allows to accurately represent each chain of characters in each group with a minimum distance to the standard. The obtained extended descriptions quite accurately describe the behavior of the curves studied.

Evidence has been presented by several investigators indicating the possibility that radio waves penetrate sufficiently deep into the earth to be useful in prospecting for oil. Conventional electromagnetic theory used with normal values of the earth constants indicates, however, that the attenuation is too great to allow the signal to be used after propagation through significant distances of shale. To settle the above question an experiment was conceived and carried out in which the signal level in the earth was measured at various distances from a battery‐operated transmitter operating at 1,652 kc suspended in an uncased, mud‐filled hole by a mud‐saturated rope. The mud resistivity was matched to that of the 40 foot thick shale section used in order that the entire immediate region would be as nearly as possibly homogeneous. The receiver was also battery‐operated and suspended by a cable in other similar mud‐filled holes at various distances from the first hole. The attenuation constant in shale was found to be 0.231 nepers/foot (2 db/foot), which is much too large to give any hope of deep penetration. A few measurements in a limestone section gave a value of 0.086 nepers/foot, which is also too large to be useful. Although these values are quite high, they are lower than theory predicts for these earth resistivities by a factor of about two.

The aim of the paper is to present ephemeral printed texts as an object of a linguistic description as well as to submit the model of analysis in practice. Texts called as ephemera are usually an object of a non-linguistically targeted interdisciplinary approach, although ephemera, regardless of type and style, can be subject to the scheme of a linguistic analysis. The submitted Linguera model (lingua et ephemera) enables meticulous analysis of an ephemeral text followed by its detailed and accurate analysis. The model focuses on such aspects as the role of context, evaluative language, contents and form of ephemera, as well as analytical map designing. The proposal of analysis is presented on the material of the ephemera collection from the Free City of Danzig (1920 – 1939).

The radio frequency idtentification (RFID) is a wireless technology that enable automatic identification and extraction of stored information from any tagged object within a supply chain environment. A simple RFID system uses radio waves to collect and transfer data from a tag attached to an object linked to an RFID reader for identifying, tracking, and data capturing. However, RFID-based systems have numerous security- and privacy-related threats for the deployment of such technology in supply chain automation purpose. This chapter explains the technical fundamentals of RFID systems and its security threats. It also classifies the existing security and privacy threats into those which target the RFID components such as the tag, the communication channel, and the overall system threats. Finally, the chapter discusses the open research challenges that need further investigation, especially with the rapid introduction of diverse RFID applications in supply chain management (SCM).

RFID systems use radio waves to transfer data from electronic devices (TAG) to the reader, and then the reader forwards the received data to the control unit further processing. In today’s digitized world, radio frequency identification (RFID) is becoming a major way of digital identification for people, animals, objects, buildings, etc.

<div><p><em>There is a huge body of evidence in the literature that exposure to radio frequency (RF) has been linked to a variety of adverse health outcomes that may have significant health problems for user of mobile phone. Credible scientific evidences are there that RF radiation from cellular system is responsible to create effect that may be either short term (sleep disruption, lack of concentration, behavioral changes etc) or  long term (DNA damage, altered immune function, miscarriage risks, etc.). Cellular region of frequency spectrum covers a vital range of frequency worldwide. It uses Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and Mobile Station (MS) for its operation therefore the emission of energy from BTS and MS is quite dangerous and needs everyone attention. In second generation systems, BTS works on frequency reuse concept and after few kilometers, we found another BTS to serve the mobile phone. BTS power gets reduced as the distance from BTS to MS increases. At such condition, mobile starts to emit more power to maintain the link and sometimes switches to another nearby  BTS area. A new emerging technology, Light- Fidelity (Li-Fi) is in consideration for future use of communication because it is capable to work safe against health hazards. It can be understood as a carrier to transmit data wirelessly in spite of using radio waves.</em><em> </em></p></div><em>In this paper, we tried to check the effects of radio frequency at various conditions. These conditions are studied carefully and a comparative analysis is done (based on available literature) to aware mankind regarding harmful effects of radiation from cellular system on human body and also focus on its proposed remedy to overcome the hazardous effects of electromagnetic radiation.</em>

The article is devoted to the study of means and ways of modeling the comic effect in contemporary ironic media texts as well as to characterizing the method of their linguistic description in the linguistic pragmatic aspect. Special attention is paid to the ways of linguistic analysis of the conflict in ironic media text, which is the object of a court case. Within the complex linguistic analysis, including the semantic analysis to reveal the “semantic aspects,” and on the material of the editions Kommersant and Moskovsky Komsomolets, the authors described the signals of irony as language play and as a socially marked way of communication, defining their stylistic variety. On the example of ironic media text which is the object of a court case, it is established that the basic way to model the comic (ironic) subtext in contemporary media texts is the contrast used both at textual and subtextual levels. The article draws the conclusion that the comic form of presentation of the ironic text content cannot be the object of a court case because it is connected with the evaluation and expression of the author’s own opinion.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) uses radio waves to track the movement of goods through the Supply Chain system. The identity of an object is captured with a unique serial number that is transmitted wirelessly to a computer system. Small businesses are facing RFID implementation barriers.  The barriers range from the perspective of the consumer-goods manufacturers and retail organizations.  We propose implementing RFID technology using cloud computing framework to alleviate or reduce the implementation cost which is the most prevalent barrier.
