Role Models of Modern Motherhood
Тhe relevance of the study is justified by the prob-lems of reducing the motivation of reproductive behavior and deformations of role representations of parenthood. The novelty of the study lies in the use of a qualitative focus group method, which al-lowed us to get the most characteristic ideas about the studied phenomenon. The main content aspects of the study are: analysis of current concepts of motherhood in the works of L.I. Savinov, L.G. So-logub, L.A. Gritsay, as well as generalization of modern motherhood role models based on the views of participants in sociological research. The following models are identified: maternal integrity, ignoring maternal functions, assigning parental re-sponsibilities to state social structures, motherhood based on emotional dependence on one's child. The author presents proposals for the formation of a maternal role based on a cognitive approach.
