Contemporary armed conflicts reveal that the use of effective mine barriers has a significant impact on the course of hostilities. Therefore, the Polish Armed Forces selected reliable and effective explosive ordnance as a priority, both newly-acquired material and those currently in operation. For this reason, among others, strict supervision over the technical condition of mines is exercised, in particular during their long-term storage. The reasons behind the increased mine unreliability may include physical and chemical changes in the construction materials used (corrosion, deformations, loss of strength properties), deterioration of the physicochemical properties of the main charge, booster and primer-detonator, inadequate technical condition of the safety components, or the failure of mine fuse mechanisms. In order to assess the mine's operational reliability, each mine fuse subassembly is examined and then a check of the entire assembled mine is performed. This requires proper planning of the full test cycle and the use of inspected and calibrated measuring devices and test stands enabling the precise adjustment of mechanical and climatic stress parameters.

In the conditions of modern deepening of defense-industrial and military-technical cooperation with foreign powers pressing questions of metrological maintenance of statement on arms of Armed forces of Ukraine of samples (complexes) of arms of foreign manufacture are defined and proved. The structure chart of process of delivery of arms and the military techniques in the conditions of the special period is developed and systematized, delivery conditions are systematised: completeness of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques, an order of preparation of experts for service and operation of arms and the military techniques, representation of operational and other documentation in a state language, an order of codification, introduction in states and sheets. The basic requirements to metrological maintenance of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques of foreign manufacture at stages of carrying out of under control operation and the established departmental tests are defined. Components of technical, organizational and standard bases of system of metrological maintenance of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques at the specified stages and at the basic stage of life cycle of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques - an operation phase are defined and proved. It is recommended to use an optimum variant of operation of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques of foreign manufacture - operation on a technical condition which assumes definition and forecasting of a real condition of the sample (complex) of arms and the military techniques.

The article describes the part of the Russian State Military History Archive (RGVIA) fonds, which contains documents related to the maintenance of aircrafts, engines, aircraft weapons, apparatus, radio stations, and photographic equipment of the Russian Air Force Fleet (VVF) in 1910-17; they testify of the emergence of the maintenance department. As the forming department had no management bodies, its documents deposited in the RGVIA do not form a compact fond, they are found in a large array of fonds, some of which have no relation to aviation. In the modern scholarship on the history of Russian military aviation, there is a lack of the RGVIA reference materials on location of documents on the history of maintenance of the Russian Air Force Fleet. The article is to provide researchers with a detailed tool for searching documents on the history of maintenance in the archival fonds. The author relies on his knowledge of historical development of the Russian Air Force Fleet, his long-term research experience in the RGVIA, and on reference publications on the archive fonds. Having analyzed the RGVIA fonds, he shows what kind of documents on the history of the VVF maintenance can be found there. Features of various fonds and volume of documents on the history of maintenance in them are being described. It has been identified in which fonds the guidelines and instructions for the aircrafts maintenance are stored, as well as reports on technical condition of aircrafts, armament, and equipment in the squadrons, materials on aircraft radio equipment usage, reports on inspection of technical condition of aircrafts in the units, documents on accidents and disasters. The article reviews fonds of various organizations engaged in operation and repair of the aviation equipment, of management bodies of the armed forces, of integrated combined arms force, and of military aviation. The analysis will help the historians of the Russian Air Force to navigate numerous RGVIA fonds and to speed up their search of documents.

Problem statement. Equipping the Armed Forces of Ukraine with new types of armament and military equipment, including armored and automotive equipment, leads to the need to create an appropriate proving ground: the development of infrastructure facilities, equipping with tools and equipment for laboratory tests, as well as means for monitoring the performance and determining the technical condition of armament and military equipment. Analysis of recent research and publications. Unfortunately, there are no recommendations in the existing publications on equipping the proving ground for armored and automotive vehicles. Statement of the task. The purpose of the work is to improve the efficiency of testing armored and automotive vehicles. The article defines the main tasks of the proving ground, proposes a relevant composition of its elements and general requirements for them, as well as proposals for equipping it with laboratory testing equipment. To solve the assigned tasks, the proving ground should include the following main objects and systems: a test area for armored and automotive vehicles; an area for testing samples of armored and automotive vehicles for survivability; complex of common use roads, special test roads; special facilities for the placement of laboratory testing equipment; engineering networks for testing and vital functions (power supply, water supply, etc.); systems of metrological, meteorological, fire protection and medical support, environmental safety; security system. Conclusions. The creation of a proving ground for armored and automotive vehicles will provide: building capacity of a test base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the assessment of promising models of armored and automotive vehicles; increasing the achieved level of control over the technical state of armaments and military equipment during tests; evaluation of the results of combat training with the combat use of armament and military equipment; accreditation of the proving ground for armament and military equipment in national and international conformity assessment and certification bodies for eligibility to carry out work in accordance with NATO standards.

Abstract The aim of the article is to show the changes taking place in the structures of logistical support of the Polish Navy, focusing on the changes in the way of supplying ships of the Polish Navy. In recent years, the Polish Navy has undergone many changes in the subject matter, starting from the liquidation of the Logistics of the Polish Navy and the Polish Navy Command, including the Management of Logistics Planning. The changes contributed to the centralization of Logistics, creating the Inspectorate for Armed Forces Support of the Republic of Poland, which focused on the main burden of tasks related to, among others, repairs, modernization and supply of ships. On the other hand, it extends the time of issuing opinions on, for example, the protocols for assessing the technical condition of military equipment (ME), which are the basis for the replacement, repair or further exploitation of the ME.
