The modern phenomenon of tourism is more focused on specific forms of tourism in which sports and health tourism play a very important role. That fact is not surprising having in mind that they represent interconnected activities that complement each other and give each other completely new dimension. On one side, sports and health represent very important content of tourist offer because of the fact they enable tourists to become active participants in various activities, and on the other side, they represent important driving force for visiting particular destination. The idea of this chapter is to provide a theoretical and practical framework of this issue with a special focus on case study of Montenegro. According to the results of the research that was carried out, the general conclusion is that Montenegro has extremely valuable natural resources and potentials for the development of sports and health tourism, but there are still a lot of challenges that should be faced in the future in order to improve the quality of tourist offer and the level of tourists’ satisfaction as well as to create completely new image of the destination and position it as high-quality sports and health tourist destination on international market.

The development of nautical tourism in the Primorsko-Goranska County is based on the region’s attractive natural resources (the indentedness of its coastline and islands, its favourable climate and fairly well-preserved natural environment), its developed infrastructure systems (with all their advantages and weaknesses), its vicinity to major markets, and as well as on the personal safety of boaters and the safety of navigation. Major weaknesses are reflected in the lack of tourist facilities and in the low level of the structure and quality of the offering of nautical tourism ports in comparison to boater expectations. Redressing these weaknesses will help future development converge with the desired goals. Based on an analysis of nautical tourism development, it is essential to set the guidelines of future development, taking into account the protection and conservation of natural resources and the application of the concept of sustainable development.

Tourism comprises the activities of people travelling and staying in different places from the country of their habitual residence, for a period not longer than one calendar year, and the purpose of this trip is leisure.Tourism, somehow, includes the natural resources of a country or a particular region. Many countries pay primary importance to tourism development. But besides the natural resources, human resources for the industry are also rated as 'raw material' or are predicted by experts as the most important factor that will be coped by the industry over the past decades and the next. It is not enough for a country to be rich in natural beauty in order to be a tourist destination. There should interact: better management, culture, tradition, welcoming, quality of service, etc. All these affect the evolution or development of natural resources that directly affect the economic growth of a country.Supporting the development of traditional economic branches has not brought any major effect on the ongoing development in Kosovo, so that enrichment of economic structure and the development of new branches provide an important opportunity for qualitative advancement of the economy and the entire Kosovo society. The purpose of this paper is to highlight some aspects which identify opportunities and the importance of providing tourism development in the growth and progress of the Kosovo society. The impact of tourism on the economy of various countries in the world is recognized and the positive effects are usually expressed based in the revenue that the country generates during a certain period. It means that while other countries are wondering what has happened to the development of tourism during the year, we still have to ask, will it happen or how will tourism development happen to us.Kosovo is now on the way out of the crisis as political, security, economic, social or other ones, which have dominated for years. Based on the principle that the country cannot have a sustainable future without economic development, but no sustainable economic development without stability, it is quite necessary to identify the factors that contribute to the sustainability of the country. One of the factors which may contribute to the rapid emergence of severe crises is the development of tourism.

Introduction: A barrier to local investigator-led research in low income settings, is the limited availability of personnel with appropriate research skills or qualifications to conduct the type of research required for evidence-informed policy making to improve access and quality of health care. In response to this, Fiji National University’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in Fiji, collaborated with academics based at the University of Auckland, New Zealand to deliver a series of research capacity development workshops in Fiji. Methods: Participants who attended any of the nine workshops (n=123) were contacted via email to take part in a brief survey regarding their perceptions of the effectiveness of the research capacity building workshops. Of the possible 123 participants, 80% (n=76) completed the questionnaire.  Results: Findings demonstrate that the majority of participants reported that they had gained research skills from the workshops (75%) including proposal development skills (68%) and knowledge of appropriate research methods (59%). Furthermore, 70% agreed that the workshops built their research confidence.  Since attending a workshop, 18% of respondents had successfully applied and received funding for research grants and/or fellowships.  Barriers to conduct research included workload (75%), lack of research knowledge, experience or skills (51%), and lack of institutional support (41%). Suggestions for future workshops included: more focus on data analysis, regular courses rather than ‘one offs’, and preparation of research findings (e.g. publications). Conclusion: Our findings indicate that research workshops of this nature may increase individual research capabilities but sustained, locally led initiatives, backed by institutional and supplementary technical support are essential.

The purpose of the research was is to substantiate the need for the tax consulting as a special tool for supporting corporate business activities. The paper deals with the current specifics of the tax consulting as a separate area of the service economy within the framework of the service-dominant logic concept that reflects the degree of involvement of all participants of financial relations in the tax consulting processes. From the standpoint of institutionalism, the tax consulting institution is regarded as a financial intermediary performing mediation or auxiliary functions to ensure interactions between basic agents of the economic system, in particular, communications between the state and business entities. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that a developed tax consulting institution as an integrated attribute of the tax system determines the levels of corporate business activities and business development. Given the demographic realities in the developing world, it is not possible to solve the problems of poverty in these countries following the neoclassical model of economic growth. Since the majority of people are ruralites in these countries, the focus should be on rural development directly rather than on waiting for the benefits to trickle down to the rural poor. What is needed is to improve the quality of life and productivity of the small-holders or landless whose livelihood is based on natural resources which are depleting and require urgent attention. More options should be available for the rural people in their own area.
