Phosphorus release from the bottom sediments of Lake Rusałka (Poznań, Poland)Experimental research conducted on bottom sediments from the eutrophic Lake Rusałka (Poznań, Poland) indicated that the phosphorus release process has a significant influence on the functioning of the ecosystem. Internal loading was very intense in the deepest part of the lake, where it reached up to 29.84 mg m

The bottom sediments of Lake Uzarzewskie - a phosphorus source or sink?Phosphorus release from bottom sediments studied in two zones of Lake Uzarzewskie differing in depth and water oxygenation displayed seasonal and spatial variability. The experiments indicated that the lake receives considerable internal loading, especially from the deeper, anaerobic, rarely-mixed part of the lake. Meanwhile, the shallow zone situated in the 0-3 m depth range, could be a sink for phosphorus during spring and a source during other seasons of the year. The total loading of phosphorus from the bottom sediments was over 950 kg year

Sediments have a significant influence on the overlying water, and phosphorus (P) release from sediments is an important source for the lake eutrophication, particularly in shallow ones. To better understand the mechanisms of eutrophication, lakes impacted by urbanization at varying levels were investigated. The results showed TP increased continuously from the sediments of eutrophic lake, and released more with higher temperature. While phosphorous could process adsorption and desorption from sediments of mesotrophic lake. It suggested that the sediments of eutrophic lake could be the inner source of phosphorous.

The urban Swarzędzkie Lake, into which sewage had been diverted many years ago, was still characterised by low ecological status. Three restoration methods were used in order to improve the water quality, i.e. aeration of the waters overlying the bottom sediments, inactivation of phosphorus in the water column with iron sulphate and magnesium chloride and biomanipulation with pike stocking. The aim of the research was to define seasonal and spatial changes of phosphorus internal loading from bottom sediments and to compare this with previous years. We also considered changes in the process of P release when the restoration treatments were limited after 3 yr from 3 methods to 1 method. The highest phosphorus release from bottom sediments was found in the profundal zone, where in summer periods it would reach up to 29.2 mgP m−2 day−1. The lowest P release was observed in the littoral zone, down to a depth of 3 m, where it did not exceed 10.0 mgP m−2 day−1. 31% of the whole load of P released from the bottom sediments was originated from this zone. The research showed an increase of phosphorus release in the first years of restoration treatment and a systematic decrease at all stations in the following years.

The determination of organic phosphorus (P) compounds in lake sediments can provide information on the potential for internal P loading. Settling seston and vertical sediment core samples from highly eutrophic Lake Okaro, New Zealand, were collected during a mixed winter and stratified summer period, representing, respectively, when the water column was well oxygenated and when the bottom waters were anoxic. Samples were analysed with 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (31P NMR) spectroscopy, which showed that both bottom sediments and settling seston contained orthophosphate, orthophosphate monoesters and diesters, pyrophosphates, polyphosphates and phosphonates. Phosphorus concentration in settling seston increased ~2.5-fold in winter as a result of seasonally induced changes in phytoplankton biomass, with a marked increase in the concentration of orthophosphate. Several potentially bioavailable P compounds in the bottom sediments were identified that were likely to contribute to recycling of P from the sediment to the water column. An ‘apparent half-life’ was used to quantify the time scales on which these compounds were recycled to the overlying water column. Orthophosphate monoesters that include inositol phosphates were the most persistent P compound. On the basis of half-lives, high internal P loadings may persist for more than 20 years, potentially hindering restoration efforts in Lake Okaro.

This experimental research examines: (1) a significant influence of “make a match” model to attainment in IPS course of the students of SMPN 1 Karangploso; (2) a significant influence of motivation model on the achievement IPS course; and (3) a significant influence between the type of “make a match” model and motivation model on the accomplishment of IPS course. The sample of this research was the 98 students of IX grade at SMPN 1 Karangploso Malang. The research revealed that: (1) “the make a match” learning model significantly influences learning achievement of IPS course of the students of SMPN 1 Karangploso; (2) motivation model significantly affects learning achievement of IPS, and (3) “the make a match” learning model and motivation model significantly influence achievement of IPS course.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning models of role Centers on speech capabilities of child aged 5-6 years old at Al-Khalifa Islamic Kindergarten Ngepung backwoods, Solorejo Village, District Mojowarno, Jombang Regency. This research uses quantitative approach by using Experimental method with design pre-experimental research design(nondesigns) Type of one-grouppre-testpost-test.The subject of this study is a child aged 5-6 years old in Islamic Kindergarten Al-Khalifa Jombang as many as 17children’s which is representative from the whole number of research. Data collecting technique through the observation and documentation. By using t data experiment analysis (T-Test). The result of data analysis is obtained r = 0,55 and t-test obtained grade t-count Amount -0,88 and t-table 2,178. Then t-table is bigger than t-count(-2,178 > -0,88), if t-table > t-count H is accepted on standard of significanse 5% which means there is significant influence between learning model of role center to child's speaking ability.

This study aims to determine the effect of image coloring activity on fine motor group B children in PAUD Bukit Selanjut Kelayang Sub-district Indragiri Hulu Regency. This research is an experimental research using one-group pretest-posttest design to know comparison before and after treatment. Subjects of this study amounted to 7 children, with the objects is the influence of picture coloring activities on motor fine capabilities of group B Children in PAUD Bukit Selanjut Kelayang Sub-district Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population of this research is students in kindergarten PAUD Bukit Selanjut Kelayang Sub-district Indragiri Hulu Regency amounting to 13 children, whith a sample of 7 children consisting 4 from a man dan 3 from a woman. The sample is done by purposive sampling technique, that is by determining the sample through certain consideration. Data collection techniques used are test, observation and documentation. While the technique of data analysis using t-test test using SPSS Windows ver. 17. The results showed that thitung = 27,000 with Sig = 0,000. Because sig value <0,05 and thitung = 27,000 bigger than ttabel = 2,447, it can be concluded that there is significant influence after giving treatment in picture coloring activity. so Ho is rejected Ha accepted which means there is influence before and after being treated to fine motor abilities of children. The influence of picture coloring activity on fine motor ability of group B children in PAUD Bukit Selanjut Kelayang Sub-district Indragiri Hulu Regency is 56,25% (in medium category). Keywords: Smooth Motor Capability, Picture Coloring Activity
