Nowadays, the Internet contain s a wide variety of online documents, making finding useful information about a given subject impossible, as well as retrieving irrelevant pages. Web document and page recognition software is useful in a variety of fields, including news, medicine, and fitness, research, and information technology. To enhance search capability, a large number of web page classification methods have been proposed, especially for news web pages. Furthermore existing classification approaches seek to distinguish news web pages while still reducing the high dimensionality of features derived from these pages. Due to the lack of automated classification methods, this paper focuses on the classification of news web pages based on their scarcity and importance. This work will establish different models for the identification and classification of the web pages. The data sets used in this paper were collected from popular news websites. In the research work we have used BBC dataset that has five predefined categories. Initially the input source can be preprocessed and the errors can be eliminated. Then the features can be extracted depend upon the web page reviews using Term frequency-inverse document frequency vectorization. In the work 2225 documents are represented with the 15286 features, which represents the tf-idf score for different unigrams and bigrams. This type of the representation is not only used for classification task also helpful to analyze the dataset. Feature selection is done by using the chi-squared test which will be in the task of finding the terms that are most correlated with each of the categories. Then the pointed features can be selected using chi-squared test. Finally depend upon the classifier the web page can be classified. The results showed that list has obtained the highest percentage, which reflect its effectiveness on the classification of web pages.

One of the factors causing the bankruptcy of a company is bad credit. Therefore, prospective customers need to be selected so that bad credit cases can be minimized. This study aims to determine the classification of credit granting to prospective customers of company X in order to reduce the risk of bad credit. The method used is the binary logistic regression method and the Chi-Squared Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID) method. In this study, data used in November 2019 were 690 motorcycle credit data for company X in Gresik. The independent variables in this study are the factors that affect bad credit such as gender, marital status, education, employment, income, expenses, home ownership status and the dependent variable is credit status (bad and current). The analysis results show that the binary logistic regression has an accuracy value of 76.38% with an APER of 23.62%, while CHAID has an accuracy value of 93.19% with an APER of 6.81%. The accuracy value of the CHAID method is greater than the binary logistic regression method, while the APER value of the CHAID method is smaller than the binary logistic regression method. So it can be concluded that the CHAID method is better than the binary logistic regression method in classifying bad credit at company X. Keywords: Credit, Classification, Binary Logistic Regression, CHAID.

It is difficult for many classic classification methods to consider expert experience and classify small-sample datasets well. The evidential reasoning rule (ER rule) classifier can solve these problems. The ER rule has strong processing and comprehensive analysis abilities for diversified mixed information and can solve problems with expert experience effectively. Moreover, the initial parameters of the classifier constructed based on the ER rule can be set according to empirical knowledge instead of being trained by a large number of samples, which can help the classifier classify small-sample datasets well. However, the initial parameters of the ER rule classifier need to be optimized, and choosing the best optimization algorithm is still a challenge. Considering these problems, the ER rule classifier with an optimization operator recommendation is proposed in this paper. First, the initial ER rule classifier is constructed based on training samples and expert experience. Second, the adjustable parameters are optimized, in which the optimization operator recommendation strategy is applied to select the best algorithm by partial samples, and then experiments with full samples are carried out. Finally, a case study on a turbofan engine degradation simulation dataset is carried out, and the results indicate that the ER rule classifier has a higher classification accuracy than other classic classifiers, which demonstrates the capability and effectiveness of the proposed ER rule classifier with an optimization operator recommendation.

Fracture of a dental implant (DI) is a rare mechanical complication that is a critical cause of DI failure and explantation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of a three different deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) architectures (VGGNet-19, GoogLeNet Inception-v3, and automated DCNN) for the detection and classification of fractured DI using panoramic and periapical radiographic images. A total of 21,398 DIs were reviewed at two dental hospitals, and 251 intact and 194 fractured DI radiographic images were identified and included as the dataset in this study. All three DCNN architectures achieved a fractured DI detection and classification accuracy of over 0.80 AUC. In particular, automated DCNN architecture using periapical images showed the highest and most reliable detection (AUC = 0.984, 95% CI = 0.900–1.000) and classification (AUC = 0.869, 95% CI = 0.778–0.929) accuracy performance compared to fine-tuned and pre-trained VGGNet-19 and GoogLeNet Inception-v3 architectures. The three DCNN architectures showed acceptable accuracy in the detection and classification of fractured DIs, with the best accuracy performance achieved by the automated DCNN architecture using only periapical images.

The cell cycle is an important process in cellular life. In recent years, some image processing methods have been developed to determine the cell cycle stages of individual cells. However, in most of these methods, cells have to be segmented, and their features need to be extracted. During feature extraction, some important information may be lost, resulting in lower classification accuracy. Thus, we used a deep learning method to retain all cell features. In order to solve the problems surrounding insufficient numbers of original images and the imbalanced distribution of original images, we used the Wasserstein generative adversarial network-gradient penalty (WGAN-GP) for data augmentation. At the same time, a residual network (ResNet) was used for image classification. ResNet is one of the most used deep learning classification networks. The classification accuracy of cell cycle images was achieved more effectively with our method, reaching 83.88%. Compared with an accuracy of 79.40% in previous experiments, our accuracy increased by 4.48%. Another dataset was used to verify the effect of our model and, compared with the accuracy from previous results, our accuracy increased by 12.52%. The results showed that our new cell cycle image classification system based on WGAN-GP and ResNet is useful for the classification of imbalanced images. Moreover, our method could potentially solve the low classification accuracy in biomedical images caused by insufficient numbers of original images and the imbalanced distribution of original images.

AbstractAs a relatively new physiological signal of brain, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) is being used more and more in brain–computer interface field, especially in the task of motor imagery. However, the classification accuracy based on this signal is relatively low. To improve the accuracy of classification, this paper proposes a new experimental paradigm and only uses fNIRS signals to complete the classification task of six subjects. Notably, the experiment is carried out in a non-laboratory environment, and movements of motion imagination are properly designed. And when the subjects are imagining the motions, they are also subvocalizing the movements to prevent distraction. Therefore, according to the motor area theory of the cerebral cortex, the positions of the fNIRS probes have been slightly adjusted compared with other methods. Next, the signals are classified by nine classification methods, and the different features and classification methods are compared. The results show that under this new experimental paradigm, the classification accuracy of 89.12% and 88.47% can be achieved using the support vector machine method and the random forest method, respectively, which shows that the paradigm is effective. Finally, by selecting five channels with the largest variance after empirical mode decomposition of the original signal, similar classification results can be achieved.

Aroma plays a significant role in the quality of citrus fruits and processed products. The detection and analysis of citrus volatiles can be measured by an electronic nose (E-nose); in this paper, an E-nose is employed to classify the juice which is stored for different days. Feature extraction and classification are two important requirements for an E-nose. During the training process, a classifier can optimize its own parameters to achieve a better classification accuracy but cannot decide its input data which is treated by feature extraction methods, so the classification result is not always ideal. Label consistent KSVD (L-KSVD) is a novel technique which can extract the feature and classify the data at the same time, and such an operation can improve the classification accuracy. We propose an enhanced L-KSVD called E-LCKSVD for E-nose in this paper. During E-LCKSVD, we introduce a kernel function to the traditional L-KSVD and present a new initialization technique of its dictionary; finally, the weighted coefficients of different parts of its object function is studied, and enhanced quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization (EQPSO) is employed to optimize these coefficients. During the experimental section, we firstly find the classification accuracy of KSVD, and L-KSVD is improved with the help of the kernel function; this can prove that their ability of dealing nonlinear data is improved. Then, we compare the results of different dictionary initialization techniques and prove our proposed method is better. Finally, we find the optimal value of the weighted coefficients of the object function of E-LCKSVD that can make E-nose reach a better performance.

AbstractBrain computer interface (BCI) systems have been regarded as a new way of communication for humans. In this research, common methods such as wavelet transform are applied in order to extract features. However, genetic algorithm (GA), as an evolutionary method, is used to select features. Finally, classification was done using the two approaches support vector machine (SVM) and Bayesian method. Five features were selected and the accuracy of Bayesian classification was measured to be 80% with dimension reduction. Ultimately, the classification accuracy reached 90.4% using SVM classifier. The results of the study indicate a better feature selection and the effective dimension reduction of these features, as well as a higher percentage of classification accuracy in comparison with other studies.
