In this investigation the hypothesis is tested that every commercial bank has a unique and differentiated consumer image. A factor analytical study is performed to develop a semantic differential by means of which consumer image scales can be established. The results indicate that commercial banks can be evaluated in terms of 14 dimensions. The hypothesis is thus confirmed and a method is developed which can be applied to a variety of research objectives.

The study aimed to examine the impact of comprehensive income statement’s items on the owners equity of Jordanian commercial banks, and to achieve this objective researcher conducted an analytical study by adopting the descriptive and analytical approach, and used the statistical method to analyze the study data represented in the actual data, which were taken from the financial statements of the (13) Jordanian commercial banks for the period (2008-2017). The study found a statistically significant impact of comprehensive income statement’s items on the owners equity of Jordanian commercial banks, and in regard to the secondary hypotheses the study results showed nonexistence of statistically significant impact of net income on the owners equity of Jordanian commercial banks, but found a statistically significant impact for each of the other comprehensive income and comprehensive net income on the owners equity of Jordanian commercial banks. One of the main recommendations of the study will be to increase the attention to comprehensive income, due to its impact on the owners equity, and to conduct additional studies about the impact and the relationship of study variables at the public shareholding companies, in other sectors.

Effect of the demonetization in Novetmber 2016 was seen in the month December 2017 with the value of e-transactions in India doubling from Rs.0.10 trillion to Rs.0.20 trillion. Thereafter the value quadrupled in the next month, January 2017 to Rs.0.48 trillion. Later on the value seems to have stabilized around Rs.0.40 trillion. It is heartening to note that all the instruments, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, USSD, Cards, Mobile banking etc. have fared very well in providing a good platform for executing the transactions digitally. Thus, we can see a clear correlation between demonetization and e-monetization. This study was an investigation into the e-banking practices in nationalized and private banks in the State of Maharashtra in the light of the banking sector in India undergoing a phenomenal change thanks to the November, 2016 demonetization move by the Government. Primary data was collected from bank customers. The population of bank customers in Maharashtra is expected to be quite large (say more than 20000) in which case a sample size of 500 respondents was fixed. This article discusses that e-banking is finding favors with the younger generation and if the perceived benefits from e-banking are popularized and publicized well then the response to e-banking can be expected to be much better.

Abstract. Gender and personality traits influence risk proneness in the context of financial decisions. However, most studies on this topic have relied on either self-report data or on artificial measures of financial risk-taking behavior. Our study aimed to identify relevant trading behaviors and personal characteristics related to trading success. N = 108 Caucasians took part in a three-week stock market simulation paradigm, in which they traded shares of eight fictional companies that differed in issue price, volatility, and outcome. Participants also completed questionnaires measuring personality, risk-taking behavior, and life stress. Our model showed that being male and scoring high on self-directedness led to more risky financial behavior, which in turn positively predicted success in the stock market simulation. The total model explained 39% of the variance in trading success, indicating a role for other factors in influencing trading behavior. Future studies should try to enrich our model to get a more accurate impression of the associations between individual characteristics and financially successful behavior in context of stock trading.
