<em>Wiku according to Lontar Wasista Tattwa is a well-behaved saint, a descendant of a saint, able to recite and master the third Vedic mantra, his </em><br /> <em>behavior is perfect, always meditating on God. One type of wiku described in the Wasista Tattwa ejection is the boarding chess board, namely: brahmacari wiku, grhasta wiku, wanaprasta, and bhiksuka. Brahmacari wiku duty is not to be angry with the community, there is nothing that be desired, there is no binding work in the world, no house or residence. The obligation of Wiku Grehastha is to be married and have children, make the family happy, always diligently study the three Vedas, be friendly to guests, always obey God, and be diligent in practicing yoga. Obligation of wiku wanaprasta is to direct oneself to God and attain self-awareness, no longer commit myself to household tasks and social community. The duty of the bhiksuka wiku is to focus on the spiritual life or free oneself from his avidya (spiritual darkness).</em>

The key problems of nation- and state-building are revealed in the concept of the chronotope of the Ukrainian “long twentieth century,” which is a hybrid projection of the “long nineteenth century.” An essential feature of this stage in the history of Ukraine and Ukrainians is the realization of the intentions of socioeconomic, ethnocultural and political emancipation: in fact, the end of the Ukrainian revolution, which began in the context of World War I and the destruction of the colonial system. The third book tells about the contradictions of post-Soviet transit. The three modern revolutions, the development of “oligarchic republics,” the subjectivization of Ukraine in the world through self-awareness of the European choice are visible manifestations of the final stage of the century-old Ukrainian revolution and anti-colonial liberation war. The essential transformations of the Ukrainian project are understood in the broad optics of post-totalitarian transit, the successful completion of which now rules for the national idea of Ukraine. The present article is about the presence of the tv in the society, in general, and its potential as an important agent, such as the family and the school, on the children’s and young people’s development and education. Nowadays we live in a complex world of images with sound, the most of them transmitted by the tv, the cinema and the internet. The infantile universe is full of those images. This way we structured this article in four parts, refering some of the contents related with this subject. The first part describes the presence of the television in the children's daylife and their relationship with the magic box, even the identification that they make with its favourites characters, in order to understand the space that the TV occupies in their lives. The second part presents the different messages transmitted by the television. It is important to analyze the main risks and advantages of television, that is to say, in spite of some programs show bad values, foment the excessive consumption, expose the children to an atmosphere of violence and pornography, also entertains, accompanies, educates, informs, favours the access to the culture and allows to unite the family around a program. At last the third part, this one outlines the necessity to put the tele as a curricular resource in the school, to teaches the students how to analyze, how to criticize and to think about the texts and the news of the world today. The television, considered a powerful tool, is decisive in the communication, such in the formation of values and ideas as in the culture transmission. The function of the school is not to remain far from this factor, but to try to meditate, to understand and to decide its impact, in a better way, on the development of the children and youngs. As conclusion we can add that we’ve tried to aim some strategies that educators and parents will be able to work, united to the children and the youngs, so they could have a new look of the Tv’s world and that they could know how to make their own selection and how to have a critical attitude before the watched product.La presente comunicación se refiere a la presencia de la tele en la sociedad en general y a su potencial como agente importante de formación y educación, junto con la escuela y la familia, en la vida de los niños y de los jóvenes. Actualmente vivimos inmersos en un mundo complejo de imágenes con sonido, que recibimos muy especialmente a través de la tele, del cine y de Internet, los cuales hacen parte del cotidiano del universo infantil. Así, a fin de organizar algunos de los contenidos desde los que es posible enfocar el tema, estructuramos este artículo en cuatro partes. La primera parte describe la presencia de la tele a diario de los niños y su relación con la caja mágica, incluso la identificación que hacen de sus personajes favoritos, a fin de comprender el espacio que ocupa la tele en su cotidianidad. La segunda parte presenta los distintos mensajes transmitidos por la tele. Es importante analizar las principales riesgos y ventajes de la televisión, o sea, a pesar de algunos programas muestran antivalores de la tele: fomentar excesivamente el consumo, exponer a los niños a un ambiente de violencia y pornografía también entretiene, acompaña, educa, informa, favorece el acceso a la cultura y permite unir a la familia en torno a un programa. Cuanto a la tercera parte, plantea la necesidad de incorporar la tele como recurso curricular en la escuela, para que enseñe a los alumnos a analizar crítica y reflexivamente los textos mediáticos. La televisión es considerada como una herramienta poderosa, determinante en la comunicación, tanto en la formación de valores e ideas, como en la transmisión de cultura; la función de la escuela no es permanecer ajena a este factor, pero procurar reflexionar para comprender y decidir mejor su impacto en el desarrollo de los niños y jóvenes. Como conclusión podemos añadir que hemos tratado de apuntar algunas estrategias que educadores y padres podrán trabajar junto con los niños y los jóvenes, para que éstes tengan una nueva mirada del mundo de la tele y para que sepan hacer su propia selección y tener una actitud crítica ante el producto visionado.

This chapter explores how there are at least three reasons why industrialization and the family is today an important subject for debate by an international conference of social workers. The first is an obvious one: the opportunities that it offers for discussion and analysis on a comparative basis. The second lies in the fact that the world is increasingly an industrial world and dominated in its values and goals by problems of economic growth. The third reason in supporting the choice of this particular subject for discussion is that social work is primarily an activity carried on in industrial, urban societies. The problems of human needs and relationships with which social work has traditionally been associated have had their origin in those societies experiencing the impact of industrialization.

Modern seniors who are characterized by good health at the end of their professional activity engage in new forms of activity. Some of them are involved in the activities of universities of the third age, belong to the Family of Radio Maryja, are volunteers or use various forms of religious tourism and pilgrimages. Many manifestations of their activity come from the religiosity of seniors. The growing religiosity of seniors requires a systematic catechesis that helps them in its development. The church emphasizes that this catechesis should be adapted to the situation of a senior. Catechesis helps to read the religious meaning of this stage of life and to strengthen the motivation for Christian presence in the family and environment. Therefore, this catechesis should strengthen religious interest in faith, shape and sustain the motivation of Christian activity, in the Church and in the world. This is reflected in the Christian involvement in family upbringing, in the ecclesial community, for the social good and also in an attractive way of spending free time.

This chapter is an essay reviewing William Faulkner's novel, The Sound and the Fury, the tragic story of the fall of a house, the collapse of a provincial aristocracy in a final debacle of insanity, recklessness, psychological perversion. Book I is a statement of the tragedy as seen through the eyes of Benjy. Book II focuses on Quentin, who is contemplating suicide. In Book III we see the world in terms of the petty, sadistic lunacy of Jason, the last son of the family. The final Book is told in the third person by the author and primarily focuses on Dilsey, an old colored woman. The Sound and the Fury seems to answer the question of whether there exists for this age of disillusion with religion, dedication to the objective program of scientific inventiveness and general rejection of the teleology which placed man emotionally at the center of his universe, the spirit of which great tragedy is the expression.

Ixora Linnaeus (1753: 110) is the third largest genus of the family Rubiaceae with more than 500 species distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of the world (Mouly et al. 2009). The genus Ixora is easily recognized by its articulate petioles, tetramerous flowers, bilobed stigma, uni-ovulate locules and seeds with a large adaxial hilar cavity (De Block 2008). In India, the genus is represented by 47 species (Barbhuiya et al. 2012; Murugan & Prabhu 2014; Karthigeyan & Arisdason 2015). Among of them, Ixora agasthyamalayana Sivadasan & Mohanan (1991: 313), I. beddomei Husain & Paul (1986: 87), I. gamblei Ramachandran & Nair (1988: 220), I. johnsonii Hooker (1897: 139), I. lawsonii Gamble (1920: 247), I. malabarica (Dennstedt 1818: 37) Mabberley (1977: 539), I. manantoddii Husain & Paul (1991: 16), I. mercaraica Husain & Paul (1986: 88), I. monticola Gamble (1920: 246) and I. sivarajiana Pradeep (1997: 315) are endemic to Western Ghats (Singh et al. 2015). During the verification of Ixora species from the Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu, the author found that the name Ixora monticola Gamble (1920: 246) is an later illegitimate homonym of I. monticola (Hiern 1870: 177) Kuntze (1891: 287). Therefore, a new name, Ixora ravikumarii Kottaim., is proposed here as a replacement name for I. monticola Gamble.

Palestinian narrative comes to reflect the reality of a nation under dislocation, Diaspora, and reshaping the indigenous identity. The Palestinian narratives always attempt to show part of the Palestinian suffering and struggling under the Israeli occupation. This study traces the life of a family, it is Abulheja’s during three generations as presented by Susan Abulhawa’s “While the World Sleeps” as the title of Arabic version, and it has other versions in English entitled ‘Mornings in Jenin’ or ‘Scar of David’, (2006). The study addresses the postcolonial concepts of dislocation, Diaspora, exile and reshaping the Palestinian identity of people/place in Susan Abulhawa’s “Mornings in Jenin”, it is a story of a Palestinian family living in the refugees’ camp of Jenin from 1948 to the beginning of the third millennium, 2002. It does not only represent the life of Abulheja’s family, it is a story of a nation, living in the refugees’ camp: Jenin refugees’, being strangers, even in their home. Many members of the family are killed, and many members of Palestinians’ identity are reshaped to avoid killing while a large group of Palestinians leave their country to America to fulfill the American dream of hope and happiness, and freedom and fairness as expected. However, their Journey to America and Europe may not help them to forget their traumatic past or start a new life away of nostalgic/collective memory and homeliness. The result showed the suffering and struggling of the Palestinian families, lacking the urgent needs of daily life. The study found the Jewish state worked on reshaping the cultural, religious, national, political and indigenous identity of the Palestinian people/place to fulfill their expansionist project of politico-historical domination, giving no serious considerations to the particularities of the indigenous people. The narrative showed that the indigenous identity of Palestinians had been reshaped and a lot of them left their home to places safer to live as strangers, away of their home.

The article presents a particular phase in the evolution of Christian asceticism, as exemplified by the monastic-ascetic milieu of Syrian Antioch. The writings of John Chrysostom, Theodoret of Cyprus and Libanius, which all refer to ascetic and monastic life in Antioch and its environs in the second half of the fourth century, are examined. These analyses allow us to identify three types among Antiochian ascetics. First group described included lay inhabitants of Antioch, both male and female, who endeavored to conduct a deeper spiritual life; this group included also persons practicing syneisaktism – a specific mode of ascetic life in which female virgins consecrated to God lived together with men (especially clergy) practicing ascesis. The second group consisted of rustic ascetics, to wit both lay and clergy inhabitants of villages around Antioch who conduced an ascetic lifestyle. The third group were those ascetics who observed monastic (or semi-monastic) life in the Antiochian mountains, especially on Mount Silpios. Monks were held in considerably high esteem, enjoying great respect among the inhabitants of Antioch. This resulted in their occasionally ignoring the rules of detachment from the world and of solitary life, as they entertained visitors or guests and – for serious reasons (e.g. during the trial of inhabitants of Antioch following the tax rebellion in 387) – visited the city. Our analysis thus depicts Antioch and its vicinity as a center of ascetic and monastic life. The clear-cut conclusion that emerges is that pre-monastic and monastic forms of ascetic life both existed in Antioch in the second half of the fourth century.

Kærligheden, mesteren og mesterlærenOle NyborgThe Concept of Love, the Master, and the Aprentice[1]In his dissertation Nyborg argues that Grundtvig’s sermons promote an educational theory that differs from the one found through standard interpretations of Grundtvig’s pedagogical thinking. In chapter three, which is printed in the journal, Nyborg describes a cognitive schema of fatherliness and paternalism that strongly influences how Grundtvig presents the concept of love in his sermons between the years of 1832 and 1849. Nyborg argues specifically that Grundtvig frequently interprets the expression “God is love” into an idea of paternal direction, chastisement, and education. Grundtvig contends that Christians must love their neighbors in the same way, within a hierarchical or asymmetrical relation. Christians emulate the Father by acting as stronger, more knowing, fatherly agents towards their neighbors. The purpose of this love becomes evident in the didactic element in Grundtvig’s sermons. Christians channel their love into thinking, feeling, relating, and acting to save their neighbors from the evil, darkness, ungodliness, carnality, and immorality of the world. Christian disciples learn this behavior through a sort of apprenticeship, which like any training is meant to help the apprentice grow and become like the master. Christian disciples get their training in the so-called school of the Lord, where the Master as strong father teaches them suffering, discipline, renunciation, and aspiration. Disciples are constantly tempted to leave  he school and return to the pleasures of the world. In his sermons Grundtvig connects this type of school with its pedagogical theory with descriptions in the New Testament of the learning community of Christ and his disciples. The teleological end-point of this demanding and difficult education is a fundamental transformation of the motivation and character of the disciples. They begin their education contaminated and damaged physically, mentally, and morally; they end it justified, sanctified, and purified. Their motivation, thoughts, feelings, values, aspiration, nature, and personality are transformed. They move closer and closer to the central identity, competence, and nature of their Master who is the magnificent paragon and the pattern of love, morality, spirituality, and virtue.[1] Ole Nyborg died on 18 February 2014 – see the obituary in this journal. On 29 November 2013, he had defended his PhD thesis, titled Grundtvig og kærligheden – Kærlighedsforståelsen i N.F.S. Grundtvigs prædikener (Grundtvig and Love: Love Comprehension in N.F.S. Grundtvig’s sermons), at the Faculty of Theology in Copenhagen. In consultation with the family of Ole Nyborg and Niels Henrik Gregersen it was decided to publish the third chapter of the dissertation, which concerns the vision of religious educational upbringing in Grundtvig’s sermons. Donald J. Trump is an “off the spectrum” President who creates controversial headlines of the media around the world. Where does his appeal come from? What is new about him? This paper tries to answer these questions from a Critical Discourse Analysis perspective. The essay is divided into three chapters. The first one gives a general overview of Trump’s discourse styles. The second one deals with the family model developed by George Lakoff in terms of metaphors and more specifically with the representation of the strict father pattern in Trump’s discourse. The third and final chapter is dedicated to the portrayal of “the other” in Trump. Strategies to depict “otherness” are analysed from an ideological discourse viewpoint. Racism, immigration and Trump’s depiction of “the establishment” are not neglected._____________________________Donal J. Trump resulta ser un Presidente fuera de lo común que genera polémicos titulares en todo el mundo. ¿Por qué provoca tanta atracción y polémica? ¿Qué novedades aporta? Este estudio pretende responder a estas cuestiones desde una perspectiva del análisis crítico del discurso. El ensayo está dividido en tres capítulos. En el primero se exponen los aspectos más característicos de su estilo discursivo. El segundo se dedica a estudiar la influencia de los modelos de familia en Trump analizados por el lingüista cognitivo George Lakoff, centrándose en los siguientes tipos: el Padre estricto y el Progenitor nutriente.  El tercero y último capítulo se consagra a estudiar el modo en que “el otro” es representado por Trump. Se aborda en este trabajo el tratamiento de temas como el racismo, la inmigración o su visión de “la clase dirigente”.
