Research about Flight Approval for Extra Flight Domestic Route in the Ngurah Rai Airport Bali has been done. The aim of research is to kncnv the difference of the perception behveen the airlines for the mechanism of the implementation flight approval to extra flight in the Ngurah Rai Airport - Bali by the Director General of Aviation Transportation by using the Kruskal Wallis Test method. The results of the research show that there are significant difference perception bet-ween the airlines, but in the principle perception of airline was together positive tawards the process of flight approval in hard copy (physical) was compared through the short message service, the facsimile or the electronics letter (the e-mail/g-mail). As long as period in September 2010 up to March 2011 (7 months), total flight approval to extra flight was 685 and it was increased on the day or the holiday season like at the time of the New Year holiday (in December - in January) and the school child's holiday (in May - in June) on 2010. We examined the influence of the overall content characteristic of short message service (SMS) advertising on consumer attitudes toward advertising on mobile devices. Attitudes of 246 Chinese (145 women, 101 men) toward permission-based SMS advertising received on electronic products were measured using structural equation modeling. Results showed that of the 4 dimensions of the overall content characteristic, entertainment, informativeness, and credibility positively and significantly influenced the attitude of consumers, whereas irritation had a negative effect. In addition, the overall content characteristic significantly impacted on consumer attitudes, with advertising value playing a mediating role. Finally, the influencing path coefficients revealed a significant difference according to gender. The credibility dimension had a greater impact on attitude toward the overall content characteristic for women than for men. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Abstract. When using Short Message Service (SMS) as a tool for data collection in psychological research, participants can be contacted at any time. This study examined how sampling frequency and time of day of contact impacted on response rates, response completeness, and response delay in repeated measures data collected via SMS. Eighty-five undergraduate students completed a six-item self-report questionnaire via SMS, in response to 20 SMS prompts sent on a random schedule. One group responded across 2 days, the other on a compressed schedule of 1 day. Overall, there was a high response rate. There was no significant difference in response rate, completeness, and delay of those responding across 1 or 2 days. Timing between prompts did not impact on response behavior. Responses were more likely to be complete if prompts were sent during the working day. The shortest time between prompts was 15 min, however, and use of an undergraduate sample limits generalizability. When conducting repeated measures sampling using SMS, researchers should be aware that more frequent sampling can be associated with poorer data quality, and should aim to collect data during the working day rather than mornings or evenings.

The study was conducted to examine the effect of Short Message Service (SMS) Texting on medication adherence among tuberculosis patients. 68 persons diagnosed with tuberculosis and registered in the public health center in Klari, Karawang, West Java, Indonesia, were randomly appointed to an experimental or control group; 34 persons assigned to each group. Participants in the experimental group received routine SMS Texting, while those in the control group receive none. Data were analyzed using Dependent t-test and Independent t-test. The results indicated that after participating by receiving SMS texting, there was a significant improvement in medication adherence in TB patients in the experimental group, which was shown by significant difference in mean score of medication adherence. In addition, after participating in the program, there was a meaningful difference in mean scores of medication adherence between the experimental group (X=6.38, SD=0.85) and the control group (X=3.64, SD=1.04), p<0.01. The SMS Texting method appears to be effective in improving medication adherence among TB patients.

Kebutuhan menggunakan listrik menjadi hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan manusia. Perusahaan penyedian listrik sampai saat ini memonitor penggunaan daya listrik pelanggan yang menggunakan kWh meter pascabayar dilakukan secara manual melalui tenaga kerja dalam pembacaan/pencatatan jumlah daya listrik terpakai. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan kesulitan bagi petugas dalam pembacaan/pencatatan karena jika pagar rumah terkunci saat ditinggal pergi oleh pelanggan, tentu akan menyebabkan besarnya konsumsi waktu. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas, penulis telah membuat suatu alat yang dapat memonitor penggunaan daya listrik kWh meter menggunakan sensor potodioda dan SMS (Short Message Service) sebagai media komunikasi data untuk memudahkan pengambilan jumlah kWh terpakai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, alat yang dibuat dapat bekerja dengan baik dan memenuhi semua spesifikasi awal perancangan. Saat diuji secara keseluruhan, alat mampu mengubah tampilan kwh meter analog menjadi tampilan digital dan mengirimkan informasi data kWh terpakai melalui sms gateway. Pada pembacaan kWh meter kovensional dengan sms gateway terjadi selisih yaitu sebesar 0.0023%. Perbedaan tersebut terjadi karena ketelitian sms gateway lebih baik. Sedangkan  selisih alat berdasarkan rumus adalah sebesar 0.04 %. Kata kunci: kWh Meter, Potodioda, SMS    The need to use electricity becomes inseparable from human life. To date, electricity providers still monitor customr electric power usage using postpaid kWh meter manually through labor in the reading/recording of the amount of electric power used. This can cause difficulties for the officer in the reading/recording because if the fence is locked when the customer is not home, it will certainly cause the amount of time consumption. Thus, the authors have created a tool that can monitor the use of electric power kWh meters using sensor potodioda and SMS (Short Message Service) as a data communication media to facilitate the taking of the number of kWh used. The results of this study indicate, the tool is made to work well and meet all the initial design specifications. When tested in its entirety, the tool is able to convert the analog kWh meter display into a digital display and sends the kWh data used via the sms gateway. At the kWh meter reading kovensional with sms gateway happened difference that is equal to 0.0023%. The difference occurs because sms gateway accuracy is better. While the difference in the tool based on the formula is 0.04%. Keywords : kWh Meter, Photodioda, SMS

This study is on the method of emotion extraction from Korean SMS text elements. There are errors and contradictions in the application of the results translated from foreign language, due to the difference of word origin to express the emotion. The extraction method was developed based on the characteristic of the Korean language, to minimize errors in emotion extraction. One of important characteristics of the Korean language is that emotion expressing words are mostly based on the changes in the body. The classification system developed is expected to be effective for robotic service.

This paper proposes a real-time vehicle surveillance system based on image processing approach tailored with short message service. A background subtraction, color balancing, chain code based shape detection, and blob filtering are used to detect suspicious moving human around the parked vehicle. Once detected, the developed system will generate a warning notification to the owner by sending a short message to his mobile phone. The current frame of video image will also be stored and be sent to the owner e-mail for further checking and investigation. Last stored image will be displayed in a centralized monitoring website, where the status of the vehicle also can be monitored at the same time. When necessary, the stored images can be used during investigation process to assist the authority to take further legal actions.
