The availability of the information on capital market transactions will affect decisions of investors who will also determine the price of the stock market. This study was conducted to examine the effect of the announcement of the rights issue on stock prices and trading volume. Sample for this study was 63 companies who do right issue on the Stock Exchange during 2009 - 3rd quarter of 2012. The data collected consisted of daily return actual data, the IHSG daily data as market returns, and daily stock trading volume from each sample company. The result of the analysis showed that there were no significant differences in average abnormal return, but there are significant differences in the average stock trading volume. So, it can be concluded that the announcement of the rights issue contains information for investors, but did not contain information to make an investment decision.

This study examines the differences in stock prices listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as measured using average abnormal returns on events (event studies) before and after the enactment of Large-Scale Social Restrictions for Foreign Citizens, especially COVID-19 which has an impact not only threatening human health but also has an impact on the economic sector. This condition will certainly have an impact on all sectors including stock trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, especially the Tourism, Hospitality, and Restaurant sub-sector. By using a sample of 41 companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a research period of 3 months (16 November 2020 to 15 February 2021) the type of purposive sampling research that meets the criteria and using paired sample t-test, the results show that there is no difference Average Abnormal Return before and after the occurrence of a PSBB event for Foreign Citizens. So it can be concluded that the PSBB for Foreign Citizens has no impact on the average abnormal return obtained by investors.

The purpose of this study were to identify and analyze the rights issue effect to the stock price, the effect of the rights issue on stock trading volume, the correlation between stock prices before and after the right issue, as well as the correlation between volume of trading activity before the right issue and after that event. The objects of the study are the companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (JSX). The hypothesis stated that right issues have a significant effect on stock price on companies listed on the JSX, rights issues have a significant effect on the stock trading volume on companies listed on the JSX, there is a significant correlation between stock price before and after the rights issue on companies listed in JSX, there is a significant correlation between volume of the stock trading before the rights issue and after that event. Data analysis used were descriptive statistics, simple linear regression analysis and paired t-test. Hypothesis testing was performed by using the Pearson correlation test with significance level of 5%. The results show that the right issue has a positive effect but not significant toward stock prices of companies listed in JSX, right issue has a negative effect and not significant toward the trading volume activity (TVA) on companies listed in JSX.

The problem in this research is the need for fast and accurate information in the format of the presentation of financial statements resulting in the distribution of information, and data management can be problematic. Therefore, a format for financial reporting systems, namely Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), was formed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of XBRL technology, stock prices, Return on Assets (ROA), and institutional ownership on market efficiency (information asymmetry and stock trading volume). The population and sample of this study are banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015-2016. The sampling method using a purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 42 companies. Data collection techniques are carried out by taking data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website (www.idx.co.id) and the site http://finance.yahoo.com. Data were analyzed with multiple regression tests after being declared normal with the normality test and though using SPSS 20. The results of this study simultaneously stated that XBRL technology, stock prices, ROA, and institutional ownership together have an influence on information asymmetry and stock trading volume. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that XBRL technology, stock prices, ROA, and institutional ownership cause a decrease in the level of information asymmetry and trading volume. This result also states that the company is in excellent condition when the value of information asymmetry decreases, but it is not good when the trading volume of its shares also decreases. Keywords: XBRL Technology; Stock Prices; Market Efficiency; Information Asymmetry; Stock Trading Volume.

Before making an investment, entrepreneurs or investors must consider the benefits and financial risks obtained. So, investors need to take action in investing, meaning that investors need to form a portfolio by selecting several assets so that financial risk can be minimized without reducing the expected. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the economy, especially investors, informing an optimal portfolio. This study aims to determine the optimal portfolio formation during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study measurement, we used variables in the form of stock prices and stock trading volumes before and during COVID-19 pandemic. This study shows a comparison, but not so significant, between stock prices before and during the pandemic. Based on the survey conducted, the following results were found, i.e., first, shows an insignificant difference between prices before and after the rights issue announcement. The stock trading volume indicates a significant difference between the stock trading volume before and after the rights issue; trading volume increases after the information of the rights issue. By implementing companies affected by COVID-19 pandemic, we can watch the prices that occur around the announcement date. Investors can make a reason about their investments in shares of issuers affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract:  Mature market is safer investment than emerging market. It’s became a references to emerging market in order to make investment decision particularly in stock exchange. Therefore, the analize to test of effect the stock trading volume in both mature market and emerging market year 2014 until 2018, is needed. The sample was determined by purposive sampling. Stock index which used in this research i.e. NYSE, NASDAQ, FTSE 100, SSEC, HANG SENG, Kopsi, STI, SENSEX, IHSG, JSE, Stock Exchange Thailand, and TSEC Taiwan. To analize the data is used multilinear regression. The result shows that’s mature market which representative by NYSE, Nasdaq, FTSE 100, SSEC, HANGSENG,  Kopsi, and STI has a significant positive effect to IHSG, SET, and TSEC. Meanwhile, NYSE, Nasdaq, FTSE 100, SSEC, HANGSENG, Kopsi, STI hasn’t stock trading volume effect in SENSEX and JSE. It can be concluded that in developing countries, the decision to buy and sell stock in the mature market became fundamental consideration for investors to sell or buy it. Keyword: Emerging, Mature, VolumeAbstrak: Mature market memiliki keamanan investasi daripada emerging market. Mature market menjadi acuan bagi emerging market dalam membuat keputusan investasi terutama di pasar modal. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya analisis untuk menguji pengaruh dari volume perdaganan saham di mature market dan emerging market tahun 2014-2018. Sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Indek saham yang digunakan dalam analisis ini adalah NYSE, Nasdaq, FTSE 100, SSEC,  HANGSENG,  Kopsi, STI, SENSEX, IHSG, JSE, Stock Exchange Thailand, dan TSEC taiwan.  Analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukan bawha mature market yang diwakili oleh indek NYSE, Nasdaq, FTSE 100, SSEC,  HANGSENG,  Kopsi, STI memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan  terhadap indek saham IHSG, SET, TSEC. Sedangkan indek NYSE, Nasdaq, FTSE 100, SSEC,  HANG SENG,  Kopsi, STI tidak mempengaruhi volume perdagangan saham di indek SENSEX dan JSE. Disimpulkan bahwa keputusan jual beli saham di mature market menjadi dasar pertimbangan bagi investor untuk menjual atau membeli saham pada negara berkembangKata Kunci: Emerging, Mature, Volume

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of stock trading volume and stock prices on bid-ask spreads on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in research is 155 companies and by using purposive sampling as sampling technique, then the sample in this research is 46 company. The data used are secondary data and use multiple regression equation as an analytical tool. Based on the results of the research it can be argued that, trading volume and stock prices have a negative and significant effect on the bid-ask spread both before and after the data grouping. The results also show that stock trading in Indonesia Stock Exchange is liquid. Investors or potential investors who want to invest in the capital market should make trading volume and stock price as a reference in making investment decisions, because simultaneously these two variables have a significant effect on bid-ask spreads.

This study aims to analyze the January Effect phenomenon based on the presence or absence of significant difference between the 5-days average abnormal return in the end of December and 5 days in early January on mining stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2011-2015. The January effect is the tendency of rising stock prices between 31 December to the end of the first week in January. The population of this study is 41 companies and the samples are 35 companies taken using purposive sampling technique. The data used are secondary data in the price of the daily closing of stocks and JCI during the observation period. Data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis. The hypothesis testing is conducted using non-parametric difference test which is called as WilcoxonSigned Rank Test. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the 5-days average abnormal return in the end of December and 5 days in early January on mining stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2011-2015, so the January Effect phenomenon has occurred.

Calendar effect anomalies indicate a return deviation in a capital market that allows investors to take advantage of a time and obtain abnormal returns. This study aims to determine the difference in the average abnormal return on the day (the day of the week effect), Monday the fourth week (week-four effect), and January with other months (January effect). The study was conducted on companies included in the LQ-45 stock group and obtained a sample of35 companies using the saturated sample method. The data source comes from secondary data, through the yahoo finance website and the method of data collection is done by non-participant observation including data collection on the development of stock prices included in the LQ-45 group during the period February 2015 to January 2018. Test results with the SPSS program through Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney Test, show that the stock’s average abnormal return at any time is not different, so the conclusion that there is no day of the week effect, week-four effect, and January effect on the LQ-45 stock index on the Stock Exchange Indonesia. As one of an instrument of economy, capital market can not be separated from influence that amend in its environment, either occur in macro economic, micro economic or non-economic environment. This research is one of the event study which examined in how the reaction of Indonesian capital market toward event that occur in an non-economic environment which is tsunami natural disaster in Aceh, December 26th, 2004.The purpose of this research is to examine stock prices reaction and trading volume activities in Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) toward tsunami natural disaster event in Aceh, also to examine whether there are any differences in average abnormal return and average trading volume activity before and after tsunami natural disaster event in Aceh. The samples are generated from stocks that have the biggest market capitalization in JSX which are often listed in LQ45 in period August, 2003 until January, 2008.The result of test using SPSS with 95% confidence level shows that JSX was not responded toward tsunami natural disaster event in Aceh. This is shown by no abnormal return during event period, no difference of average abnormal return before and after event, and no difference of average trading volume activity before and after tsunami natural disaster event in Aceh.
