Improvement of production technologies in the food industry, rational use of material and financial resources, the formation of environmental culture and increasing the competitiveness of products in modern conditions are associated with the introduction of the best available technology (BAT). The analysis of normative acts that establish requirements for their phased implementation is carried out, the structure and relationship of information and technical reference books containing a description of technologies classified as the best available for food industries is considered. Innovative and technological aspects of BAT development based on interdisciplinary research, multi-level approach, convergence of biotechnologies, nanotechnologies and information and communication technologies are considered, examples of their practical implementation in the food industry are given.

ample efforts have been taken in restaurant sector to intrigue the dining experience. Several information and communication technologies have been adopted earlier such as PDA; wireless communication technologies etc. These technologies provide a simple but powerful infrastructure. This paper highlights the limitations of the existing technologies and proposed the E-CONVERSE, which focuses on low cost touch-screen development to enhance the dining experience. In this paper we discuss the design and implementation of a low cost, customizable touch screen. To ensure the security of the system some security strategies are discussed. Basic level testing reveals that proposed system has potential for practical implementation and can overcome several drawbacks of existing system.

The relevance of the study is confirmed by the fact that extremism is one of the most dangerous phenomena in the security of the world community, which pose a threat to the whole society both with committed crimes and the destruction of generally recognized rules of morality, law and human values. We point out that in modern conditions the dissemination of extremist ideas is actively promoted by information and communication technologies, especially the Internet. It is emphasized that extremists have the opportunity not only to demonstrate their materials to a multimillion audience, but also to enter into discussions and uphold their ideas and views. The Internet is very promising for extremists. This study considers the benefits that the Internet provides in disseminating extremist information. We believe that the problem of the spread of extremist information on the Internet is especially perceptible to young people. Due to personal and psychological characteristics, this social group is very vulnerable, as they are easily imposed on the ideas and views of extremists. In the context of the active spread of extremism on the Internet, the regulatory framework for combating these crimes is extensively presented. We indicate some problems with the practical implementation of countering extremism on the Internet.

In recent decades as a result of the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the Internet, we have witnessed major changes in companies. The ICT support of the processes is becoming more and more extensive and comprehensive, which enables the realization of digitalisation. The interconnection of processes, machines, people in a single network makes another level of optimisation available. The changes turned up by digitalisation are not only technological, but they also have an impact on the company's organisation and strategy. Our study aims to create an analytical framework and map the opportunities that digitalisation promises in the food industry and the organisational changes that ICT and technological development bring, with special emphasis on the impact on strategy, employees, and corporate culture. Our results show that companies are not consciously engaged in digitalisation yet, but they exploit their opportunities and make improvements in this sense. Adaptation of digital solutions is often forced by the labour shortage, the pressure to achieve higher efficiency and thus to remain competitive and to service the growth strategy.

Tourism is being seen as an opportunity for the economic growth of developing economies as its demand is still growing. Over the years, tourism mediation has experienced major changes, including the arrival of the Internet and the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). This paper will investigates the relationship of ICT, tourism and growth of India by employing the cointegration, error correction models and Granger causality tests using annual data for last two decades. Major focus is to test the existence of long-term equilibrium relationship between international tourism, ICT and economic growth. In the Indian economy, it seems that tourism is led by economic growth and we are not able transform our strength in ICT to the expected level. In this study, we have made our efforts to highlight the ability of tourism, which can be made as leading factor to influence GDP through optimum use of ICT.

Lifelong learning is often associated with the sociology and the economics of education. However, its broader and more holistic context, which includes learning through involvement in cultural activities, tourism, leisure, and recreation, is much less known. The relationship of this term to the rapidly changing world of Information and Communication Technologies and to various conceptions of interaction is also worthy of further investigation. This article seeks to shed light on that theme by presenting a novel IT platform involving mobile technologies that can enhance access and consumption of cultural heritage community resources. Drawing on material from the ISAAC European project, the article demonstrates how lifelong m-learning can be supported by an integrated e-destination platform that enables the user to build content and engage with that through a variety of applications over time. It concludes with a demonstrator system for the city of Genoa, Italy, to highlight the pathways to change.

The context of demographic aging, combined with the wide dissemination of information and communication technologies (ICT), in the various domains of society defined a set of challenges, potentialities, and limits for seniors (65+). Although there is a positive evolution regarding adhesion and even domestication of ICT by this age segment, namely the internet and digital social networking sites, the literature review presents us with an immature, limited, and fragmented field of study, comprising an immense space of evolution. Aware of the strength, magnitude, and considerable ignorance of the action of seniors in the network society, this chapter intends to map, through a review of the multidisciplinary literature, how the relationship of seniors with ICTs is configured. In addition, usage behavior, as well as the drivers, and the consequences for the elderly of navigating digital social networks are also analyzed.

The dynamics of our time requires a change in the educational paradigm and in particular – the techniques and technologies of teaching in preschool education. With the development of information and communication technologies, there is a need to implement them in kindergarten. Innovative models in the learning process aim to support the formation and development of children’s cognitive abilities in a way that is interesting to them, through the use of modern technologies. The new needs of children require flexibility in teaching, which is different from the traditional methodology and conservative models of learning. This paper presents a theoretical and applied study of the STEM approach and derivation of interactive STEM forms and technologies for teaching Mathematics in a preparatory group of kindergarten: clarifies its nature and practical implementation in modeling STEM -educational technology – a model of a studio for adolescents in the preschool stage and its benefits.

A common assumption behind investments in information and communication technologies (ICT) is that of the resultant improvements in productivity. To substantiate this assumption with empirical evidence in the context of transition economies (TE), the authors use time series data sets spanning the period from 1993 to 2008 to inquire into the impact of investments in telecoms on total factor productivity (TFP). Results indicate that the improvements in productivity of the most of TEs in the sample was inconsistent and not based on the increase in the levels of investments and labor. Additionally, the results of the data analysis suggest that the dominant source of growth in productivity is not static, but changes over time. While in an earlier period (1993-2002) of transition, TEs grew based on technological change, it is efficient utilization of the already available technology that became a dominant source of growth in the later (2003-2008) period of transition.
