Repong Damar is a plot of land planted with various types of productive plants from various types of timber with economic value. The term repong damar is because the plant that is dominated by this plot of land is damar eye cat (Shorea javanica). The cat's eye resin tree (Shorea javanica) produces a type of non-wood forest product in the form of resin. Resin damar is one of the mainstay commodities which is a source of income for the community because it can produce in a short period and has sustainable management compared to other types of plants found in Repong Damar. Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the harvesting period and the quantity and quality of resin damar which affects the income of resin farmers in Labuhan Mandi, Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province. Data collection was carried out in June-August 2020. The sampling used in this study was purposive. This method was chosen to obtain uniformity in terms of the same growing area, a form of management, and plant genetic factors. The data were taken in the form of resin/tree quantity in 3 harvesting periods, namely a) 2 weeks; b) 3 weeks; c) 4 weeks, the percentage of resin quality based on market quality, namely 1) AB; 2) C; 3) D; 4) E; 5) ash; and the selling price of resin at the farmer level for each quality. Data analysis was performed using quantitative methods to calculate the amount of resin production, percentage of resin quality, and farmer income. The results showed that a harvest period of 4 weeks produced the highest resin quantity/month compared to a harvesting period of 3 weeks and a harvesting period of 2 weeks. The 4 week harvesting period also provides a higher percentage of AB resin quality than the 3 week harvesting period and the 2 week harvesting period, therefore the 4 week harvesting period provides higher farmer income than the 3 week harvesting period and 2 week harvesting period. The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic value of Geomun Oreum (GO), a parasitic volcanic sieve, for sustainable management by using the dichotomous choice contingent valuation method. To address the exaggeration tendency of willingness to pay (WTP), the contingent valuation method’s (CVM’s) traditional threshold, respondents’ WTP answers were reconfirmed to screen only true responses for our analysis. In addition to estimating the economic value, the causal relationship between the tour guide’s quality of explanation and the respondents’ payment intention is examined in the study. The results reveal that the estimated preservation value of GO is 35,881 KRW (33.28 USD), and the quality of the tour guide’s narrative is statistically related to the respondents’ payment intention.

Scholars generally agree on the relationship between the physical stature, or height, of children and adults, and their quality of life, or their biological status, including diet, illnesses, intensity and conditions of work, availability of medical care, living conditions, psychological well-being, climate, water, air, and other environmental factors that have impinged on their lives prior to the point at which their height is measured. Genetic factors have an important effect on individual height, but genetic distinctions lose their significance when masses of individuals are measured and average heights are compared. The same effect holds at the level of entire populations: differences in height are determined, not by ethnic or racial attributes, but by living conditions.

There are many problems related to audit quality, which are often associated with audit failures. Internal government auditors in Indonesia also have issues with audit quality. Therefore, this study aims to present empirical evidence on the relationship between independence, competence, motivation, and audit quality. It will also determine the moderating effect of time budget pressure on the relationship between factors and audit quality. Data of this study were collected through a google form, in which 57 questionnaires were sent to internal auditors of government within the Principal Inspectorate of Indonesia’s Supreme Audit Institution for at least two years. The study adopted a quantitative approach using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with PLS version 3.0. The result findings of this study revealed that competence and motivation have a significantly positive effect on the quality of audit while independence does not. Time budget pressure does not significantly moderate such a relationship. In addition, these results have several significant implications for internal auditors as an object of consideration and evaluation relating to audits in the government sector, and information for government internal auditors to improve and maintain the quality of audit.

The model which was widely known and describes the concept of service quality is the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) model proposed by Parasuraman et al (1985). However, this model has a limitation, because its application merely for service providers in the business sector, not for service providers in the public sector and service providers in the education sector. In education sector, facilitators are always involved in interpersonal interaction with the training participants. Some researchers agree to uncover the relationship between the emotional intelligence of service providers and service quality. Based on the literature review, there are limited studies in the field of education and training of the Civil Service Apparatus, especially regarding the relationship between emotional intelligence and service quality. Thus, this study aims to reveal the effect of facilitators’ emotional intelligence on service quality with respondents from participants of Basic Education and Training (Diklatsar), Leadership Education and Training 3 (Diklatpim 3), and Leadership and Education Training 4 (Diklatpim 4) at HRDA Province. This study uses quantitative methods. The sample size in this study was 462 people who were collected through a survey with a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is SEM through a two-stage approach. The results showed that the facilitators’ emotional intelligence of  HRDA of Central Java, East Java, West Java,   Jakarta, Banten, Central Sulawesi, and North Sumatera Provinces,  had a significant positive effect on the quality of service with social awareness as the indicator with the highest effect.

Nipa palm (Nypa fruticans Wurmb.) widely recognized as one of the biological resources with various aspect of utilization. Nipa palm sap can be processed into bioethanol. Bioethanol also has a quite high selling price, especially for the fulfilment of energy and for fossil fuels substitution. The main purpose of the study was to evaluate the economic value of nipa sap for further processed into bioethanol, in order to improve the income and job opportunity of coastal households. This research was conducted at Sungsang, South Sumatera with focusing on nipa palm sap further processing into bioethanol and its impact on increasing household income. This research was statistically testing the relationship between potential production of bioethanol, average revenue and labour recruitment. Based on the 2013 data, potential production of bioethanol was capable to contribute of nett income about IDR 507,940 to 3,503,280 ha-1 month-1 or IDR 6,095,274 to 42,039,360 ha-1 year-1. Therefore each hectare of nipa palm can generate labour recruitment up to 3.7 person ha-1. This assessment was expected to provide a better description of the importance of local biological resources utilization of the nipa palm, in order to improve community welfare and the efforts of biodiversity conservation on a local scale.

Loligo chinensis is one type of squid that has economic value crucial in the Tambak Lorok Semarang. Squid production mainly comes from nature, high fishing effort can cause a decrease in squid resource stock. The purpose of this study is to know the biological aspect L.chinensis in the Tambak Lorok include long weight relationships, condition factors, and the quality of alometry growth. The study was carried out in June-July 2020. The data analysis used is simple linear regression from the PM’s log (mantle length) and log W (weight) to know the relationship of its weight length. The relationship value between total length and total weight of L.chinensis has a W = 0,00048L2,4921 equation for the entire sample, W = 3,237L0,84 in the female and W = 3,29L0,827 in the male with slope (b) 2,4921; 0,84; and 0,827. Value slope shows the growths L.chinensis is negative alometrice. The value of the condition factor (Kn) = 1,064 in the entire sample, Kn = 1,713 in the female and Kn = 1,63 in the male. The value suggests that the species is thick-skinned. The growth of the mantle length (PM) of L.chinensis grows slower than other organs of the body, except for its total weight.

Abstract Objectives: Research has consistently reported the importance of adult children’s filial piety in maintaining relationship quality with their older-adult parents, especially in Asian countries due in large part to the influence of Confucianism. However, less attention has been paid to its effects in their later relationship—oldest-old parents and older-adult children, and very few studies employed a dyadic approach. Methods: In the current study, we examined the effects of actor- and partner effects of the attitudes toward filial piety on intergenerational relationship quality. Data from 105 dyads of very old parents, 81 to 97 years old (M = 87.9, SD = 2.8) and their older-adult children, 65 to 72 years old (M = 65.9, SD = 1.2) were utilized for the analyses. Results: Results showed that children’s attitudes toward filial piety were positively related to the relationship quality reported by both old children (i.e., actor-effects, β = .64, p < .001) and oldest-old parents (i.e., partner-effects, β = .63, p = .001). The effect of actor’s and partner’s attitudes toward filial piety on relationship quality was not significant. Discussion: Findings suggest that children’s attitudes toward filial piety, as compared to parents, may play a more important role in the quality of relationships between oldest-old parents and their older-adult children in South Korea.
