Migration is a phenomenon that has come to stay. It cuts across all nations in the world. People migrate for different purposes such as education, marriage, labour, job opportunity or employment and shelter for refugees. Migration occurs through various mediums which could be self, family members, friends, or other intermediaries such as brokers. This research applied the pure library-based research method to highlight the activities of brokers in migration in Asia and examine the ordeals of women victims in cross-border migration. It was discovered that activities of these illegal brokers, that is also known as syndicates, are not different from human trafficking. The women victims, whose desires are to change their status, soon got trapped in uncertainty with shattered dreams, hence the suggestion that Asian countries enter into bilateral agreement to enable favourable and a less strict migration procedures for their member states. In addition, the contracting states should enact strict legislation to curb syndicate marriage and check the accesses of these illegal brokers.   Received: 13 October 2021 / Accepted: 21 November 2021 / Published: 3 January 2022

Economic development activities actively implemented throughout the province of West Kalimantan have resulted in more and more areas of timber forest and rubber plantation areas being converted into oil palm plantations. The rampant development of oil palm plantations carried out by investors and those carried out independently by each resident, in essence, provides a significant enough job opportunity for the population in each area that continues to grow. Job opportunities created through economic development offer opportunities to every working population to earn income, fulfilling various life needs is mainly directed to fulfilling family nutritional consumption. In addition to meeting his family's needs, this income can also be used to finance children's education belonging to the school-age group. If the income earned by each family is large enough, then the family should be able to live in prosperity. In Chile there is a growing interest from society in improving the access of people with disabilities to the labor market. However, applied research on this topic is not abundant. The purpose of this research is to estimate the job opportunities of people with disabilities in Chile. For this, the data from the second Chilean national disability study were used to make a Multinomial Logistic Regression Model that would help to predict the probability of certain variables that influence job opportunity. For the generated model, variables related to the additional income of people (subsidies or extra income), educational level attained, pursuit of studies, and the degree of disability itself were found. It was determined how some variables affect the employment opportunity, particularly, variables related to continuity and access to studies.
