scholarly journals Methodological basis of management of diversification and integration development of enterprises in conditions of non-technological reproduction

The complexity, dynamicity, and unexpectedness of conditions for functioning of contemporary enterprises strengthen requirements to effectiveness of their activities. This process demands for searching new directions of development. The efficient implementation of these directions stipulates the necessity for forming the specific methodology for managing such development based on peculiarities of existing conditions. A subject of the scientific article is the methodology for managing the development of an enterprise under the neo-technological reproduction. A purpose of research is to form the methodology for managing the diversification integrational development of an enterprise under the neo-technological reproduction grounded in the mutually reinforced unity of methodologies for the cognition, practical value, and evaluation. To achieve the purpose, the author has done the research by applying the following methods: analogy; abstraction; grouping; comparison, system analysis. The author suggests and proves the expediency of forming the methodology for managing the diversification integrational development of an enterprise under the neo-technological reproduction grounded in the mutually reinforced unity of methodologies for the cognition, practical value, and evaluation. The author substantiates the mutually reinforced influence of the main aspects of forming each of the indicated methodologies. The author describes peculiarities of building each of the methodologies, taking into account the content, structure, and purpose of their key elements under contemporary conditions of development. The author proves that development of a disciplinary paradigm depending on the level of complexity of the examined issues and ways managers can solve them is the ground for the mutually reinforced unity of the considered methodologies. The suggested approach to forming the methodology for managing the diversification integrational development of an enterprise under the neo-technological reproduction enables to determine and ensure the integrity of enterprise’s processes at the expense of managerial decisions made in accordance with the evaluation, which maximally takes into account relevant, accurate, and systematized information on processes and phenomena as the basis for up-to-date knowledge and views on managing the development of an enterprise under the neo-technological reproduction.

One of the important aspects in the investment project management system in large holding companies is the financial and economic assessment of project effectiveness, which should be carried out at all stages of the project life cycle. The use of classical approaches to assessing the effectiveness of a project based on the use of static indicators of project profitability and dynamic indicators of profitability based on the application of the discount process is not enough. As practice shows, in addition to cost criteria, it is necessary to take into account additional effects, as the project is environmentally friendly, technical safety, customer focus, improving product quality. The scientific article presents an algorithm for evaluating the financial and economic evaluation of the effectiveness of an investment project by the stages of the life cycle. At the stage of generating the idea, it is proposed to conduct an expert assessment of the effectiveness of the investment project on the basis of a checklist; at the stage of pre-project study and preparation of the project for implementation, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the project based on the DCF model and relative performance indicators. At the project implementation stage, post-investment monitoring of key project performance indicators should be carried out. The proposed algorithm will allow timely monitoring and corrective actions and increase the effectiveness of managerial decisions in the field of investment activities of the company.

Over the past decade, considerable investment has been made in acquiring knowledge about in-sewer processes, with the objective of developing new analytical tools to predict the performance of these systems. A wide variety of these tools have emerged, from simple aggregated conceptual models of entire systems, to very detailed physically based relationships for particular processes such as suspended transport. The major investors in this research have been determined to produce commercial models which will form part of integrated system analysis suites of software for use in the formulation of holistic and optimum managerial methods for wastewater systems. Unfortunately, sewer processes are extremely complex, and the very limited investment, when compared proportionately with that made in hydrological and hydraulic analysis over previous decades, has produced apparently gaps in underlying knowledge which are not generally acknowledged. This paper reviews the current position with regard to sewer process modelling, highlighting areas where knowledge is still deficient, and where new opportunities and limitations are emerging.

Summary Gerardus Joannes Vossius (1577–1649) published his De arte grammatica libri septem in 1635. From the second edition in 1662 the work became known as Vossius’s Aristarchus. This important Latin grammar of Vossius, and also his other publications devoted to Latin, have their particular place in the evolution of grammatical studies in the 17th century. Vossius’s works were used in the first place because in them he had given a complete survey and systematization of all the scholarly information concerning Latin existing up to his own days. Neoscholastic Aristotelism was the philosophical basis of his treatment with Latin language and grammar. However, we find at the same time in Vossius’s work sometimes hints at a new approach to the study of Latin grammar. He followed in many respects the new directions pointed out by men like Scaliger and Sanctius. Thus, on the one hand, Vossius stood in the Humanist tradition of his day while, on the other, his work could be used profitably also by the Port-Royal grammarians and other philologist of the late 17th and 18th centuries. Following an appraisal of Vossius’s place in the Humanist tradition and of the contribution he made in his Aristarchus, the paper deals at some length with the analogy principle as used by Vossius and his successors. It concludes with sections on the evolution of grammatical ideas in the 17th and early 18th centuries marked especially by the tradition associated with the works of Sanctius, Vossius, and Port-Royal.
