The purpose of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) general contracting project schedule management is to ensure that the project meets its deadlines, and it plays a critical role in contract performance. In comparison to the domestic general contracting model, project management and coordination are more complex for the general contractor of international EPC projects. As a result, scientific project schedule process control is critical to effectively ensuring project duration, saving project costs, improving project management level, and project quality, and ensuring that the project achieves the promised advantages for both the contractor and the owner. Through the research and analysis of the status of the schedule management of the Indonesia B Project Phase II cement project, corresponding optimization measures are proposed for the project schedule process control.

Project schedule management is an important part of prefabricated construction project management. General contracting is an effective way to promote the development of prefabricated construction. However, at present, from the perspective of general contracting, the risk factors affecting the project progress of prefabricated buildings are not clear, and the relationship between risks is not known. The purpose of this study is to study the composition, hierarchical structure and transmission path of schedule risk factors of prefabricated construction in general contracting mode, so as to help the general contractor formulate effective schedule risk avoidance measures. This study uses grounded theory to obtain 22 risk factors that affect the progress of assembly building projects, and the data are from expert interviews. Using Delphi method and interpretative structural modeling (ISM), these factors are divided into seven levels, and the ISM model of schedule risk factors is constructed. The research shows that there are 60 progress risk transmission paths, and four progress risk transfer chains are obtained. At the present time, cancer is one of the most lethal diseases worldwide. There are various factors involved in the development of cancer, including genetic factors, lifestyle, nutrition, and so on. Recent studies have shown that epigenetic factors have a critical role in the initiation and development of tumors. The histone post-translational modifications (PTMs) such as acetylation, methylation, phosphorylation, and other PTMs are important mechanisms that regulate the status of chromatin structure and this regulation leads to the control of gene expression. The histone acetylation is conducted by histone acetyltransferase enzymes (HATs), which are involved in transferring an acetyl group to conserved lysine amino acids of histones and consequently increase gene expression. On the basis of similarity in catalytic domains of HATs, these enzymes are divided into different groups such as families of GNAT, MYST, P300/CBP, SRC/P160, and so on. These enzymes have effective roles in apoptosis, signaling pathways, metastasis, cell cycle, DNA repair and other related mechanisms deregulated in cancer. Abnormal activation of HATs leads to uncontrolled amplification of cells and incidence of malignancy signs. This indicates that HAT might be an important target for effective cancer treatments, and hence there would be a need for further studies and designing of therapeutic drugs on this basis. In this study, we have reviewed the important roles of HATs in different human malignancies.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the use and importance of project management (PM) methods in organizing sports events (SEs). Furthermore, the study analyzed differences in usage and importance of PM methods in relation to the type of SE. Finally, reasons for and obstacles to the implementation of PM methods in organizing SEs were identified. To assess the research questions, a quantitative survey ( n = 78) and a focus group discussion ( n = 5) were carried out. The results showed that PM methods were employed for SEs with higher usage and importance rates in large compared with small SEs. Requirements by event stakeholders, knowledge transfer, confidence building, progress control, and justification as well as opportunities to save money by introducing an improved planning process were identified as the main reasons for using PM in the organization of SEs. This study is the first work to provide an overview of the usage of specific PM methods in organizing SEs.

In order to overcome the difficulty in quantifying rework by traditional project schedule management tools, this study proposes an innovative method, namely improved Critical Chain Design Structure Matrix (ICCDSM). From the perspective of information flow, the authors firstly make assumptions on activity parameters and interactions between activities. After that, a genetic algorithm is employed to reorder the activity sequence, and a banding algorithm with consideration of resource constraints is used to identify concurrent activities. Then potential criticality is proposed to measure the importance of each activity, and the rework impact area is implicated to indicate potential rework windows. Next, two methods for calculating project buffer are employed. A simulation methodology is used to verify the proposed method. The simulation results illustrate that the ICCDSM method is capable of quantifying and visualizing rework and its impact, decreases iterations, and improves the completion probability. In this vein, this study provides a novel framework for rework management, which offers some insights for researchers and managers.

AbstractThe place of Jews was highly ambiguous in the newly founded Turkish Republic: In 1928 an assimilationist campaign was launched against Turkish Jews, while only a few years later, in 1933, German scholars—many of them Jewish—were taken in so as to help Europeanize the nation. Turkish authorities regarded the emigrants as representatives of European civilization and appointed scholars like Erich Auerbach to prestigious academic positions that were vital for redefining the humanities in Turkey. This article explores the country's twofold assimilationist policies. On the one hand, Turkey required of its citizens—regardless of ethnic or religious origins—that they conform to a unified Turkish culture; on the other hand, an equally assimilationist modernization project was designed to achieve cultural recognition from the heart of Europe. By linking historical and contemporary discourses, this article shows how tropes of Jewishness have played—and continue to play—a critical role in the conception of Turkish nationhood. The status of Erich Auerbach, Chair of the Faculty for Western Languages and Literatures at İstanbul University from 1936 to 1947, is central to this investigation into the place of Turkish and German Jews in modern Turkey.

Project schedule management is the management to each stage of the degree of progress and project final deadline in the project implementation process. Its purpose is to ensure that the project can meet the time constraints under the premise of achieving its overall objectives.When the progress of schedule found deviation in the process of schedule management ,the progress of the plan which have be advanced previously need to adjust.This article mainly discussed to solve the following two questions:establish the schedule optimization model by using the method of linear;discuss the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and its parameters which have effect on the algorithm:Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is presented in the time limited project and the application of a cost optimization.
