The article is devoted to the problems of psychological and pedagogical training. The urgency of the problem is due to lack of knowledge in society about effective mechanisms for maintaining, strengthening and restoring mental health in conditions of constant physical and intellectual overload, stress, social unrest, as evidenced by numerous facts of nervous breakdowns and psychosomatic diseases. The article highlights the quantitative and qualitative results of an empirical study of the psychological component of health competence in future teachers according to certain criteria - cognitive, motivational-value, activity and reflexive. The indicators of each of these criteria are described, as well as the used diagnostic tools for their study are described. It was found that the respondents do not have a high enough level of formation of the psychological component of health competence according to cognitive and reflexive criteria, which indicates the need for intensive work on the formation of deep knowledge of future teachers on the essence of "mental health" and ability to reflect in order to preserve and strengthen their own mental health and the health of children. Based on these results, the main ways and prospects for improving the level of formation of the psychological component of health competence of students on cognitive and reflexive criteria in the process of studying the course "Psychological Anthropology" were identified.

The article is devoted to the role of classical university education in the training of highly qualified, highly competitive teaching staff capable of forming the image of a new school in modern conditions. The achievement of such a complex task is ensured by identifying and implementing the heuristic capabilities of a classical university in the development of pedagogical education. The author associates such opportunities with its fundamentalization, research orientation, advanced character, etc. The purpose of the article is to present the results of a scientific study related to the definition and theoretical justification of possible ways to implement models of teacher education as an optimal “scenario” for training elite teachers in a classical university. Methodology and methods of research. The methodological basis of the research is the philosophical provisions about a person as a subject of his own life activity; the unity and interrelation of processes and phenomena, general and special. The general methodology of the research is represented by a system-synergetic approach that allows us to consider professional and pedagogical training in a classical university as an open developing system in the “school-university-school”continuity relations; a holistic approach as a methodological orientation towards the formation of a holistic personality of a future teacher, as well as the integrity of the system of professional and pedagogical training at a classical university; an individual-personal approach that provides an opportunity to study along an individual educational trajectory. The main research methods were the analysis of scientific literature, theoretical generalization and modeling. The results of the study. As a result of the theoretical and experimental work carried out, it is proved that the quintessence of the heuristic capabilities of the classical university determines the development and implementation of innovative models for the development of pedagogical education. The author gives a description of each model, indicating its features and “contribution” to the training of future teachers in the system of university classical education. In conclusion, it is concluded that the proposed innovative variable models for the development of pedagogical education at a classical university will ensure the success of professional pedagogical training of future teachers, bring it to a fundamentally new level by realizing the valuable potential of a classical university.

PurposeSocial media are increasingly pivotal as the platform where activists and observers plan, promote, and respond to collective actions. To examine how mental health discourse might be impacted by mass protests, this study analyzed their time-dependent association during the 2019 anti-government social unrest in Hong Kong.MethodsConsecutive day-by-day user-generated content on online forums and social network sites (SNS) from June to November 2019 was obtained. A Cantonese term-list was created to identify terms related to mass protests and mental health discourse. The frequency of comments containing such terms was analyzed using time series models.ResultsThere were 3,572,665 social media comments in the investigation period. As hypothesized, the frequency of comments with mass protest terms was higher on days with mass protests than on days without. Frequency of comments with both mass protest- and mental health-terms was also higher on days with protests than days without. A time-lagged effect of protest-terms was found on online forums but not on SNS. Our results suggest a positive association between offline protest activities and online psychological reactions.ConclusionsSocial media content reveals discussion of mental health concerns stemming from, or exacerbated by, social unrest. The potential mutual influences between mass protests and online reactions, as well as the functional differences between online forums and SNS in this regard, are discussed. Street protests and their associated mental health discourse can be readily detected on popular online forums. Mental health services should consider such dynamic relationships between on- and offline activities.
