Ancient architectures have always been of great interest to a variety of studies. In this analysis, the distribution of ancient architectures in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province is investigated. In each area of the distribution, the characteristic of the ancient architectures are recorded, such as story number, building materials, construction time, etc. The various types of information are then input into a GIS (Geographic Information System) database, which also contains some typical images of the ancient architectures. Some of the data are from GoogleEarth or archived CAD (Computer Aided Design) files. Consequently, the distribution and characteristic of ancient architectures are analyzed consulting the GIS map and attribute table. Although the ancient architectures are similar in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, there exist some notable differences. The commonness and differences would be significative for the preservation and planning for ancient architectures.

The study aimed to develop an algorithm for computer-aided design (CAD) of working operations. A processing route for machining components was developed based on the criteria of production manufacturability, industrial data and a digital model of the product. The process of machining a workpiece was analysed using a method of theoretical separation. The machining process of a frame workpiece was used as a model. The identified formal parameters formed a basis for developing a CAD algorithm and a model of manufacturing route associated with the mechanical processing of a work-piece applying a condition-action rule, as well as mathematical logic. The research afforded a scheme for selecting process operations, given the manufacturability parameters of a product design. The concept of CAD algorithm was developed to design a production process of engineering products with given manufacturability parameters, including industrial data. The principle of forming a route and selecting a machining process was proposed. Several criteria of production manufacturability (labour intensity, consumption of materials, production costs) were selected to evaluate mechanical processing. A CAD algorithm for designing technological operations considering the parameters of manufacturability was developed. The algorithm was tested by manufacturing a frame workpiece. The developed algorithm can be used for reducing labour costs and development time, at the same time as improving the quality of production processes. The formalisation of process design is a crucial stage in digitalisation and automation of all production processes.

Computer aided design of the manufacturing technology for anchors is presented in the paper. Evaluation of applicability of various materials for anchors, as well as analysis of the influence of process parameters on the in use properties of product, were the objectives of the research. In the material part, bainitic steels were considered as an alternative for the commonly used C-Mn steels. Possibility of elimination of the heat treatment was evaluated. Rheological models for the investigated steels were developed and implemented into the finite element code for simulations of drawing and multi stage forging. Criteria for the selection of the best manufacturing chain composed dimensional accuracy, tool life and product properties. Industrial trials were performed for the selected cycle and the efficiency of this cycle was evaluated. Finally, simulations of the in use behaviour of the anchor-concrete joint were performed. On the basis of the simulations the optimization task using strength of the joint as the objective function was formulated
