This study was conducted to evaluate the behavior of highschool students who take Physical Education Lesson classes within the Erzurum city center. The population of the study consists of high school students affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and the sample consists of high school students in Erzurum city center. In the study, random sampling method was used and 100 students participated. In order to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the subjects, frequency and percentage analysis, independent t-test to determine differences between genders, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test to determine differences between other characteristics was used. As a result, if these differences are thought to be in adolescence, it can be said that their attitudes towards physical education lesson in this period are taking shape. In this respect, it is seen that secondary school students have a important period in the sense of attitude formation. Therefore, the direction and strength of the attitudes of secondary school students should be measured. The attitude of highschool students towards physical education and sport lessons according to their age, number of siblings, family members' sports status and family income levels were examined.

Background. Diabetes is a set of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia caused by improper action and/or secretion of insulin. Currently, diabetes is becoming a serious challenge in modern medicine, this disease affects 425 million people, and the forecasts indicate that by 2045 the number of cases will increase to 629 million. Objective. The aim of the study was to evaluate the knowledge about risk factors for type 2 diabetes among secondary school students in the Silesian Province in Poland and to determine whether there are differences between the level of knowledge between girls and boys and between first-, second- and third-grade students. Material and methods. The survey was conducted among 650 high school students. The research tool was the author's questionnaire. The obtained results were developed using Microsoft Excel 2010 and Statistica 13.3 (TIBCO Inc.). Results. The definitions of type 2 diabetes were known to 63.9%. 91.8% of high school students indicated excessive body mass as a risk factor for morbidity, while 18.8% of people indicated the appropriate type of obesity increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes. Most of the students considered abnormal eating habits as an important factor increasing the occurrence of the disease (92.4%). The most numerous group of high school students were people with average level of knowledge (89.6%). Conclusions. The knowledge of high school students about risk factors for type 2 diabetes was varied. The most numerous group were high school students characterised by the average level of knowledge. There were no statistically significant differences between the proportion of correctly provided responses by women and men. There were statistically significant differences between the proportion of correctly provided responses by first-, second- and third-graders. Our research shows that educational activities should be undertaken, especially about modifiable risk factors for type 2 diabetes.

In the modern system of school education, there are approaches to the implementation of physical education content with the help of various variable modules based on the sports means use. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the variable module "Wrestling" in the physical education of high school students on the main indicators of preparedness. Material and methods. The organization of study provided that during the 2017-2019 school years in Shchyrets secondary school №1 I-III degrees named after the Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Ilkiv of Shchyrets village council we introduced an experimental module "Wrestling" into the educational process of high school students in the discipline "Physical Culture". In general, in the 2017-2019 academic years to our study were involved 53 students of 10th forms (31 boys and 22 girls). In the 2017-2019 academic year – 74 students of 11th forms (41 boys and 33 girls). We used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical data of and sources of the Internet, analysis of documentary materials, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. There were selected 8 tests which determined the general preparedness, 12 tests for special preparedness. To determine the technical and tactical preparedness of students we fixed six basic groups of techniques which they had to demonstrate. Results and discussion. There are established the indicators of efficiency according to the percentage values of changes in the main groups of indicators (general, special, technical and tactical preparedness) of high school students. Finding out the level of general competencies allowed us to substantiate that there were significant changes in all indicators (p≤0.05–0.01). According to the analysis of special preparedness (competencies), we obtained a significant (p≤0.01) improvement in the results of most tests and control exercises. The percentage values can be observed significant variability in the levels of representatives’ changes in different subgroups. Conclusion. The study confirms a number of experts’ opinions that high school students need a little more time to form a sustainable level of preparedness and more profound adaptive changes in indicators of different preparedness components. The implementation of the structure and content of the variable module significantly affected the level of general and special competencies and technical and tactical preparedness of high school students (both girls and boys). However, the educational process in secondary schools cannot be equated in organizational and methodological conditions, basic tasks and the main purpose with training in sports sections

Purpose: To develop a module of need-motivational training tasks of the section “Volleyball for students aged 11-12”. The experiment involved the schoolchildren aged 11-12 (n=43). The schoolchildren had no contraindication to the physical education. Classes according to the author’s module of need-motivational teaching tasks were conducted with the secondary school students of the fifth form “A” (n=22, experimental class). Pupils of the fifth form “B” (n=21) took a traditional training program during the physical education lesson of the “Volleyball” section. The study was conducted for two months (October-December 2018). Each pupil used a fitness bracelet during the class monitoring the heart rate at a physical education lesson. Special testing was used in three blocks. The first block is the calculation of the number of correctly performed technical actions with the ball without a partner. The second block is the calculation of the technical actions in pairs through the net. The third block is an educational game. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using t-student test. Results: A significant (p<0.01 and p<0.05) advantage of the secondary school students of the experimental class was revealed in comparison with another approach to teaching the technical elements of volleyball. A higher mastery level of the basic elements in volleyball was obtained according to the special set of tasks: receiving and passing the ball with two hands from above; receiving and passing the ball with two hands from below (in place, with various types of movements, with lightened and complicated conditions) Conclusions: It is proved that an increase of the theoretical needful-motivational teaching tasks during the physical education classes has a positive effect on the activation of motor activity of the schoolchildren. The synergetic relationship between theoretical and practical training allows to achieve personal, regulatory, communicative, cognitive and objective results.

Abstract. Physical-sports practice generates numerous health benefits, adolescence being one of the key periods for the acquisition of healthy habits. Therefore, the subject of Physical Education is an ideal scenario for it, as relations between diverse variables (sports motivation, importance of Physical Education and motivational climate) and the continuity of the physical-sports practice can be found in it. However, few studies have analysed the influence of practising sports in a federated or non-federated way on these variables. It is for this reason that the objectives of this study are: to know the existing differences in sports motivation, motivational climate in Physical Education classes, and importance given to Physical Education classes, taking into account whether the students are federated in any sport or not; and to find out whether there are differences in the variables predicting intrinsic and extrinsic sports motivation, depending on whether the students are federated. A sample of 267 secondary school students was analysed using a questionnaire as the measuring instrument. The results show that there are differences in the extrinsic motivation and importance of physical education depending on whether adolescents practice sport in a federated way or not. In addition, although the predictors of both intrinsic and extrinsic sports motivation are the same for both groups, the importance of these variables varies according to whether adolescents were federated or not. Finally, a series of conclusions and practical implications for the design of Physical Education classes are presented.
