AbstractThere are contrasting results concerning the effect of reactive school closure on SARS-CoV-2 transmission. To shed light on this controversy, we developed a data-driven computational model of SARS-CoV-2 transmission. We found that by reactively closing classes based on syndromic surveillance, SARS-CoV-2 infections are reduced by no more than 17.3% (95%CI: 8.0–26.8%), due to the low probability of timely identification of infections in the young population. We thus investigated an alternative triggering mechanism based on repeated screening of students using antigen tests. Depending on the contribution of schools to transmission, this strategy can greatly reduce COVID-19 burden even when school contribution to transmission and immunity in the population is low. Moving forward, the adoption of antigen-based screenings in schools could be instrumental to limit COVID-19 burden while vaccines continue to be rolled out.

The study was devoted to the study of the prevalence of hypercholesterolemia (hyper-Chol) and hypercholesterolemia of low density lipoproteins (hyper-LDL-C) against the background of abdominal obesity (AO) in a population aged 25–44 years in Novosibirsk. Material and methods. A crosssectional survey of the population aged 25–44 years in Novosibirsk (Russia) was carried out. 1415 people were examined, including 670 men (47.3 %) and 745 women (52.7 %), pregnant women or being on maternity leave were not included in the study). All subjects were assessed for the presence of AO, hyper-Chol and hyper-LDL-C. Results. Individuals with AO had higher average values of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. The prevalence of hyper-Chol in individuals with AO was 1.3 times higher and hyper-LDL-C – 1.2 times higher than in individuals without AO. In women with AO, the prevalence of hyper-Chol was 1.2 times higher and hyper-LDL-C – 1.3 times higher than in women without AO. In men with AO, the prevalence of hyper-Chol was 1.4 times higher and hyper-LDL-C – 1.2 times higher than in men without AO. When conducting logistic regression analysis, it was found that in a young population under 45 years of age, abdominal obesity was significantly associated with the presence of atherogenic hypercholesterolemia in both sexes. In men, significant associations of AO with both hyper-Chol and hyper-LDL-C were noted, in women – only with hyper-LDL-C. Conclusions. A population study of young people (25–44 years old) revealed associations of atherogenic hypercholesterolemia with abdominal obesity.

Aim of the study was to investigate the associations of polymorphisms of some genes with overweight and some anthropometric and biochemical indicators in a population sample of the young population of Novosibirsk. Material and methods. The study was carried out on a sample of young people aged 25–35 years, residents of Novosibirsk, selected by the method of random numbers (n = 319). During the survey, a questionnaire was filled out, anthropometric measurements, blood sampling, followed by biochemical and molecular genetic studies were carried out. Results. The odds ratio (OR) to detect a carrier of the AA rs9939609 genotype of the FTO gene in the group with an increased body mass index (BMI) compared to the group with a normal BMI is 2.1 times higher (95% confidence interval (95 % CI) 1.2– 3.8; p = 0.019 in the AA vs AT+TT model). In the Kruskal – Wallis test in the general group, differences were found in carriers of different rs9939609 genotypes of the FTO gene in the thickness of the skin fold in the middle third of the right shoulder (p = 0.0008) and under the right shoulder blade (p = 0.026). In carriers of the AA genotype, these indicators were noticeably higher compared to carriers of the AT and TT genotypes. Differences in high density lipoprotein cholesterol were found in women (p = 0.032; the lowest level in the AA genotype) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (p = 0.027; the highest value in the AA genotype). In addition, female carriers of the TT rs7903146 genotype of the TCF7L2 gene had lower diastolic blood pressure than carriers of the CT and CC genotypes (p = 0.027). The probability of detecting a male carrier of the CT or TT genotypes of the TCF7L2 gene polymorphism rs7903146 in the obese group is 0.313 (95 % CI 0.102–0.955; p = 0.036 in the CC vs CT+TT model) compared with the group with excess BMI (25 ≤ BMI < 30 kg/m2 ). The probability of detecting the allele with rs10811661 of the CDKN2AB gene in the obese group is 2.2 times higher (95 % CI 1.1–4.5; p = 0.035) compared with the group with an excess BMI. Conclusion. The association of overweight in the population sample of the young population of Novosibirsk was confirmed with rs9939609 of the FTO gene, rs7903146 of the TCF7L2 gene, rs10811661 of the CDKN2AB gene. The association of rs2237892 of the KCNQ1 gene and rs1111875 of the HHEX gene with overweight was not found. Associations of the studied SNPs with some anthropometric and biochemical indicators were found.

Hair contributes immensely to human personality. Healthy hair is a sign of a healthy personality. But nowadays, Premature greying is a common problem in the young population. Due to lifestyle changes, environmental changes, and psychological factors, premature greying of hair increases tremendously. Premature greying of hair is causing psychological disturbances in the young population. In Ayurveda, Krodha, Shoka and Shrama are the Maansika Nidana which causes vitiation of Doshas and leads to Palitya. Different scholars had explained Palitya along with its prevention and management. Psychological status in the young population is uncertain and prone to a significant mental health risk. During adulthood, the young population seems to face multiple stress and psychological issues due to life transitions and changes in personal relationships. Overburden at the workplace leads to increased incidence of psychological problems that alter health. Premature greying of hair needs attention to deal with these psychological issues. If all these factors are considered, it increases the chances of preventing Akala Palitya.

With its negative psychological, economic, and social effects, student delinquency is one of Iran's most critical social issues; Iran has a young population in terms of population structure. The purpose of this article is not to search for the causes of studentdelinquency, in cases such as theft, vandalism and violence, in the whole of Iran, but to focus on the city of Sari to conduct such studies in other major cities, to comment on the community or Provide thighs. This study used a combined theoretical framework (general theory of crime) consisting of social connection and self-control theories. The findings of this study show that adolescents with poor self-control have poor social bonds and commit more crimes.

Depression is one of the most concerning psychological disorderS of our modern world., That problem with depression seems to the high incidence of the disease especially among the young population between 20-40 and females. Depression incidence has been increasing in the last decades and is widespread in developed countries as it is in the undeveloped ones, Saudi Arabia is no exception., The awareness about the disease is not enough, some of the patients who have the disease are not also aware of it, and even if they do, little they do to combat it.The self-heal methods that traditional healers tryis problematic, because it’s also based on supernatural non-scientific beliefs which sometimes leads to further complications of the patient case, on the other hand the population must be aware of the importance of seeking the help of professional well trained doctors instead. Conclusion: We need more awareness about the disease, and it’s symptoms and how to deal with probably and when to see a doctor, depression is hazardous because it can lead to some serious social and health issues, and can cause death due to suicide.

Waitangirua is a vital piece of the puzzle when completing the Porirua Regeneration Scheme and The Transmission Gully Motorway. Waitangirua is a small suburb of 4020 residents located in the East of Porirua City. The current regeneration of East Porirua is seeing 2000 state homes being renovated or demolished and 2000 additional dwellings on site. With that in mind, a transmission gully link road drives straight to the heart of the community’s village centre: this road alone will see an additional 3000-4000 cars travelling down it daily. Waitangirua currently hosts a diverse and young population, but it lacks the architectural features to encourage diversity and social interaction. With Transmission Gully’s completion in 2020 and the regeneration at the beginning of its 25-year plan, it is timely to think about the future of Waitangirua, not only for the social growth of the suburb but also the liveability for the community. The current village centre does not match its neighbourhood, let alone have the capability to host all these new people. Leading to the research question, ‘How can an under-utilised centre be re-imagined for the social growth and liveability of its residents?’ This thesis examines the importance of connections for social growth and liveability; while considering the priority of community engagements in the success of the design. It also investigates the significance of architecture and urban planning in integrating the identity of the community and their culture into the design schemes. A New Heart for East Porirua proposes this can be achieved by renewing the flow and connection of the people; to each other, their village centre and wider Porirua. At the same time as engaging with the community and cultural narrative to enhance the site; and finally, by re-imagining the under-utilised centre and community hub in a holistic approach for the on-going journey of the community of Waitangirua.
