The branding of a product or service is now more creative. One of them is using video. The right video can give potential buyers a positive perspective. However, there are obstacles in making attractive branding with videos, namely the ability to package attractive videos such as editing sound and images, dubbing and adding text. Another obstacle is the distribution of the video itself. Video creation sometimes requires applications with large resources. Meanwhile, as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), it is still rare to have computers with high enough specifications. As a solution to this problem, community service activities were carried out by the Samarinda State Polytechnic team to MSME owners in the city of Samarinda using the Kinemaster. The implementation of this activity is carried out for one day to meet face to face with online mentoring for one week. The method of implementation is carried out by lectures, practices, discussions and questions and answers. This intensive service was given to 35 participants. A total of 28 participants succeeded in making business product branding videos with a duration of 1 to 2 minutes

This survey research study analyzed responses from 143 mentors from around the world participating in a global higher education initiative. Results confirmed the effectiveness of four mentoring domains identified in the literature, reporting the most success from providing emotional and psychological support for students. This article provides mentoring strategies including student goal setting, identifies characteristics of an online role model, and shows the importance of online mentors’ confidence in students gaining technology skills. The study has additionally contributed to the literature supporting (a) benefits of online mentoring for nontraditional students, (b) influence of technology on mentoring challenges, and (c) role assumption in online mentoring. Additionally, the study provided a literature review of the background of online mentoring and mentoring practices, the benefits and challenges of online mentoring, and lessons learned from research. This work presents a comprehensive understanding of online mentoring, providing support for mentors seeking to improve their performance as well as recommendations for creating mentoring programs to improve organizations.

The number of mentoring programs within the framework of schools is increasing both internationally and domestically (Raufelder & Ittel, 2012; Fejes et. al., 2009). Besides traditional mentoring, the role of peer mentoring (Miller, 2002) has also come to the fore in recent years. In our study, we focus on cross-age peer mentoring (Miller, 2002; Sipe, 2005), where older youth mentor younger youth. One example of this in Hungary is the Let's Teach for Hungary (LTHMP) mentoring program, where undergraduate students mentor primary school students. In our research, we studied mentors at the University of Debrecen who had completed at least two semester-long cycles in the program. We were curious about how the COVID-19 pandemic period affected mentoring, so we examined the transition of a mentoring program based on a personal meeting to online mentoring, and its pivotal points, advantages, and disadvantages. As a method, we used qualitative interview analysis, during which we worked with semi-structured interviews, recorded in the spring of 2020 and 2021 – during the global pandemic situation – with a total of 50 mentors. The content analysis of the interview texts was performed based on the codes formulated based on the theory, and the emic codes emerged in the interviews (Creswell, 2012). Our results show that mentors can be grouped into different types based on their attitudes towards online mentoring. Overall, the digital transition has been a big challenge. The biggest problem was the lack of equipment. The issue of age has been also an important factor in terms of the sense of digital comfort. We noticed the phenomenon of Big Brother Mentoring and the importance of chameleon mentors. Our research, which can fill a gap, highlights both the challenges and benefits of online mentoring. In addition, we can also contribute to the effective and successful operation of the Let's Teach for Hungary Mentoring Program.

Background: COVID-19 influenced education delivery worldwide. The Up the Hill Project (UTHP), a university mentoring program in Australia for people with intellectual disability, transitioned from a face-to-face to online format during 2020. Results: The experience of transitioning online for one semester (12-week period) had positives and challenges associated with it. The UTHP Coordinator reported initial doubts for the online mode and identified the importance of at home support. However, the experience has opened up avenues for future program practices, such as intake processes and increased flexibility. From the participants’ perspective, the online experience supported participants to develop new technology skills. However, challenges were that participants needed support, and missed face-to-face contact. Conclusion: Online mentoring in the UTHP had challenges, but has also supported continuation of university programs. Lessons learnt will influence the development of the UTHP in some capacity into the future.

Two university music education faculty aimed to expand mentoring beyond a one-to-one relationship to a more collaborative approach by creating a year-long online mentoring network of experienced and novice music educators. The purpose of this article is to describe the network’s structure and content, and discuss outcomes and recommendations based on participating teachers’ perspectives and experiences. Network materials promoted discussion and reflection on various music teaching and learning topics; the sharing of strategies, ideas, and resources; and mutual support and encouragement. Participants discussed topics with direct application for their classes and shared rewarding teaching moments, student successes, positive assessment outcomes, and struggles with fatigue and lack of student engagement. They stated the network provided a supportive space that facilitated connection and reflection, empathetic feedback, and teaching strategy and resource suggestions. Recommendations included more active opportunities to engage with and build relationships with each other, synchronous activities via videoconferencing platforms, and more facilitator participation.

In the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, learning from home comes with positive and negative consequences. The sense of security that children get from distance learning brings negative consequences where children need to adjust to a new paradigm. Problems around learning from home included mental health and emotional problems for students. This psychoeducation aimed to explain the emotion regulation process and how the brain worked in emotion processing. We conducted the program with a pre-survey and interviews with teachers and school principals. Furthermore, online mentoring and surveys to students accompanied by their parents. It is hoped that students could understand their emotions and the basic steps to regulate. The hand model of the brain is the model of the brain in hands to explain concretely the hierarchy and connection between different parts of the brain concerning emotions. This program got a positive response from the participants. Psychoeducation results show an increase in understanding and gave positive feedback that this program is effective and fit to what they needed.
