Field experiment was conducted in the non-heated plastic house at Al-Mussaib Technical College in the autumn season 2016 to study the Response of sweet pepper Capsicum annuum L. (Qurtuba cultivar) to foliar spraying with two types of foliar commercial Potassium fertilizers in loamy sand soil. To study the effect of four levels of potassium fertilizer and micronutrients (0, 4, 6, 8 ml.L-1), four levels of potassium fertilizer and Sulfur KTS (0, 2, 4, 6 ml.L-1) and their interaction on some vegetative and flowering growth indicators, yield and its components. The experiment was designed according to the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) and the averages were compared with the least significant difference (LSD), with a significant level of 5%. The result indicated to the excelling of the spraying treatment with potassium and micronutrient (8 ml.L-1) by giving it a significant level in increasing the averages of plant height, number of branches, leaf area, dry weight for total  vegetative, number of flowers in plant, percentage of fruit set, the leaves content of (chlorophyll, nitrogen, Phosphorus and potassium), early and total yield, the content of vitamin C, and percentage of Total Soluble Solids, with an increasing percentage of (19.47, 29.54, 16.68, 30.01, 11.26, 24.09, 38.16, 24.36, 16.67, 34.00, 21.87, 20.27, 50.46, 45.96, 39.33, 70.85%), respectively, compared to control treatment.  Which is the same behavior as spraying treatment with potassium fertilizer and sulfur, where treatment (4 ml.L-1) was excelled in all the above traits, where the percentages of increasing were (31.72, 53.53, 49.88, 15.82, 14.84, 24.54, 19.79, 36.73, 21.05, 47.55, 24.53, 19.07, 49.43, 48.01, 30.29, 36.56%), respectively, compared to the control treatment. As for interaction treatments, it has showed excelling the spraying treatment with a mixture of (8 ml. L-1 + 4 ml. L-1) by giving it the highest values for all the above traits amounted of (109.5 cm, 6.4 branches, 25.3 dm2, 132.7 g, 62.7 flower, 43.9% 2.22%, 0.75%, 2.55%, 34.6 fruits, 108.3 g, 0.790 kg. plant-1, 3.747 kg. plant-1, 69.2 mg.100 ml-1, 10.4%), respectively.

The present work had as objective to evaluate the physical-chemical characteristics of commercial tomato fruits grafted on different solanaceous species. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in a randomized complete block design, with four blocks and six treatments, being the rootstocks: cocona (Solanum sessiliflorum); two cultivars of eggplant (Solanum aethiopicum), Long Light Green and Big Hill; jurubebão (Solanum lycocarpum) and jurubeba juna (Solanum stramonifolium), grafted with the tomato cultivar Santa Cruz Kada, and the control treatment was represented by the self-grafted tomato. Three consecutive harvests were spaced seven days after the production stabilization, and the characteristics fruits analyzed were Total Soluble Solids (ºBrix), pH, Titratable Acidity (percentage of citric acid) and TSS/TA. A statistically significant difference was found in the Tukey’s test at 5% probability in the titratable acidity, pH and fruit pulp flavor, among the evaluated treatments, while the soluble solids content did not differ between treatments in any of the harvests, but the values remained within the considered adequate for the tomato in natura in the current literature. There was a decrease in fruit flavor in all treatments, and fruit pH drop in all treatments with the exception of jurubebão, with the advancement of plant age, while the titratable acidity had an inverse behavior. The evaluated rootstocks can be used in the tomato crop, without prejudice to the quality of the tomato fruit produced.

A factorial experiment was applied according to Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) with three replications, during the spring season 2017 in Diyala / Baquba / Buhriz city, using silt loam soil to study the effect of four levels of foliar fertilization with humic acid 0, 2, 4, 6 ml.L-1 in the growth and yield of sunflower, Helianthus annuus  L. (LuLeo). The results showed significant differences for level of humic acid 6 ml.L-1 in plant height which gave an average 213.73 cm, leaf area of the plant 5597.32 cm2, chlorophyll index 48.64 SPAD, dry weight of the plant 215.0 g, number of seeds in the flowery disc 1494 seed.disc-1, 1000 seeds weight 88.3 g, plant yield 127.91 g.plant-1, total yield 6.81 ton.h-1 and oil percentage in the seeds 43.184%, while the level 4 ml.L-1 humic acid gave the highest average for the protein percentage in the seeds 18.34%.

Field experiment on production systems of `Selva' day-neutral and `Totem' June-bearing strawberry was established in 1995 on the spring-killed cover crop mulched plots using randomized complete-block design. Seven soil cover treatments consisted of `Wheeler' rye (Secale cereale) and `Micah' and `Steptoe' barley (Hordium vulgare), `Micah' residue applied on soil surface, a wedge of perlite (artificial medium) placed next to strawberry row, perlite with `Wheeler' rye, and no treatment were used. During the early summer, cover crops were replanted between strawberry rows and mowed down after 6 weeks. In both cultivars, plant growth doubled during mid-summer, and `Micah'on surface produced better growth than the growth in other treatments. No significant difference was found on CO2 assimilation rate (mmol·m–2·s–1), leaflet length, and number of leaves and runners among treatments (P ≥ 0.1). Yield of `Totem' was ignored during the establishment year. In `Selva', `Micah' residue on surface produced 36% more crowns per plant and the greatest total yield than that of any other treatment. `Micah' on surface produced 50% more shoot biomass and 45% greater yield compared to `Micah' barley planted in the plot. Total `Selva' yield was 61% greater in perlite treatment than the yield in perlite with `Wheeler' rye and 31% greater than the control treatment. Comparison of `Selva' strawberry total yield and average fruit production between cover crops vs. control treatment using non-orthogonal contrast indicated no significant difference might suggests no detrimental interaction between cover crops and strawberry.

<p>This research aims to determine the arrowroot responses on piling and potassium fertilizer application on its growth and yield. This research was conducted in Experiment Field of Agriculture Faculty SebelasMaret University at Sukosari, Jumantono, Karanganyar using Randomized Completed Block Design (RCBD) factorial with two factors of piling and potassium fertilization.There are 2 levels of piling, consists of without piling treatment (P0) and with in piling (P1).There are 3 levels of potassium fertilization consist of  250 kg ha-1 KCl, 300 kg ha-1 KCl, and 350 kg ha-1 KCl. Observation variable consist of plant height, leaf number, tiller number, biomass fresh weight per plant, biomass dry weight per plant, tuber numbers per plant, tuber weights per plant, tuber weights per plot, tuber diameter, and tuber length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if there is significant difference, continue with DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) of 5% level. The result showed that treatment with in piling (P1) can tends to increase yield of arrowroot plant on tuber numbers per plant, tuber weights per plant, and tuber weights per plot. Potassium fertilizer treatment with  350 kg ha-1 dose KCl tends to increase at growth and yield in all variables except the tiller numbers.</p>

An experiment was carried out at the Horticulture Farm of the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh during  the period from November 2010 to January 2011 to study the effects of cowdung and potassium on growth and yield  of Kohlrabi. The experiment consisted of three levels of cowdung (0, 20 and 40 t/ha) and four levels of potassium (0,  20, 50, 80 kg /ha). The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with three replications. All the  parameters were significantly influenced by application of cowdung and potassium. The highest plant height (44.65  cm), number of leaves per plant (12.11), length of largest leaf (37.54 cm), and breadth of largest leaf (18.66 cm) were  obtained from the highest dose of cowdung and potassium applied (40 t cowdung + 80 kg K/ha) while the lowest  plant height (33.64 cm), number of leaves (9.01), length of largest leaf (27.94 cm), and breadth of largest leaf (11.00  cm) were obtained from control treatment combination. The highest fresh weight of leaves (49.33 g), fresh weight of  knob (328.66 g) and fresh weight of roots (66.55 g) per plant were also recorded under the treatment combination of  40 t cowdung + 80 kg K/ha, while the lowest fresh weight of leaves (22.11 g), fresh weight of knob (136.00 g) and  fresh weight of roots (23.33 g) were obtained from control treatment combination. Similarly, the dry weight of leaves  (19.34%), knob (15.19%) and roots (32.75%) were highest under the same treatment combination of 40 t cowdung +  80 kg K/ha and the lowest dry weight of leaves (11.71%), dry weight of knob (7.38%) and dry weight of roots  (15.29%) were obtained from control treatment combination C0K0. The marketable yields of knob per plot (7.86 kg)  and per hectare (39.58 tons) were also the highest under the treatment combination 40 t cowdung/ha and 80 kg  potassium per hectare.   DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jbau.v10i1.12035   J. The field experiment was conducted during the agricultural season 2016-2017 in one of the greenhouses belonging to the Directorate of Agriculture of Basrah in Khor Al-Zubair, in order to study the effect of the bio-stimulator Amalgerol in some growth characteristics of two types of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The trial included 18 treatments involving two types of sweet peppers: KAMAR, RIDA F1 and three concentrations of both Amalgerol (0, 2.5 and 5) ml.l-1 and the appetizer (0, 1 and 1.5) ml.l-1. The factorial experiment was implemented with Split Plot Design by Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates and compared to the least significant differences test LSD at a probability level of 0.05. The main results are summarized as follows: The plants treated with 2.5 and 5 ml.l-1 of Amalgerol biomarker had a significant difference between them in each of the height of the plant, the number of leaves.plants-1, the leaf area in addition to the dry weight of the total vegetation, while the concentration of 5 ml.l-1 was superior in average fruit weight (59.44 g), fruit yield (41.95), early plant yield (233.52 g), plant yield (2.45 kg), and early productivity (3.92 ton / ha -1), in addition to total productivity of 41.15 tons.ha-1.The plants of the hybrid "Kamar" were superior in average fruit weight (61.62 g) and the early plant yield (233.40 g) in addition to the early productivity (3.921 tons.ha-1), while the hybrid plants of "Rida P1" were superior in average fruit number (45.90 fruits) and the total productivity (37.78 tons.ha-1). The interaction between the two factors of the stem and the average number of leaves. Plants-1 and the rate of the number of fruits.plants-1.

This study was carried out at experimental field of Horticulture and Landscape Department – College of Agriculture – Baghdad University, during autumn season of 2014. This experiment was aimed to study the effect of foliar spray with algae extract (Algaton-20) at two concentrations (2 and 4ml.L-1) and liquid mineral nutrient (Fosfital calcium) at two concentrations (3 and 6ml.L-1) and the water extract of dry seeds of broad bean at two concentrations (2.5 and 5g.L-1) as different sources of nutrition elements (Mo,B,Ca,K,P,N) beside control treatment in vegetative growth and the nutrition content of curds and production parameters of cauliflower plants cv.Eearly snowball.The study was conducted according to Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The results are shows a significant differences between spraying nutrients solutions and control treatment in all parameters studied, spraying with Algaton-20 (2 ml.L-1) was recorded higher number of leaves.plant-1 and length of petiole and sulfur content in curds while spraying with(4ml.L-1) estimated higher length of assimilative surface and percentage of dry matter and boron content in curds. Spraying with water extract of dry broad bean seeds with (5g.L-1) led to record biggest leaf area and higher content of curds from nitrogen and molybdenum. While spraying with(2.5g.L-1) led to record higher dry weight of vegetative growth and the content of curds from phosphorus and potassium and weight of curds which estimated 0.662 Kg and total weight of plant which estimated 0.679Kg and total yield which estimated 24.33ton.ha-1 compare to control treatment. which meaning that using nutrients from organic and natural source will improve the nutrition values with medicinal importance of the produce with environment less pollution.

The experiment was conducted at the agricultural research station of the College of Agriculture- University of Basrah in 2018-2019 season in sandy loam soils in order to study the effect of three concentrations of humic acid (0, 2 and 4 g.L-1) on the growth and yields of two hybrids of Broad bean ("Rico and Rama F1"). Split Plot Design by Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) with three replications, and the least significant difference test (L.S.D) was used to compare averages at a probability level of 0.05. The most important results obtained are: The hybrid "Rico" is gave a significant increase in the number of branches.Plant-1, the percentage of flowering in addition to the average weight of the pod, while the hybrid "Rama F1" gave a significant increase in the number of flowers and pods.Plant-1, weigh of pod.Plant-1 (259.3 gm) in addition to the total yield (24.34 tons.ha-1). Humic acid concentrations 2 and 4 g.L-1 gave a significant increase in number of leaves.plant-1, leaf area, soft weight of vegetative, number of flowers.plant-1, number of pods.plant-1, average weight of pod, yield. Plant-1 (259.9 g) in addition the total yield (24.40 tons.ha-1), while control treatment gave a significant increase in the percentage of ripening flowers. The interaction between humic acid and hybrids had significant increase in all characters in the study except the percentage of ripening flowers.

A field study has been conducted during autumn season of  2016 at Karbala province of  Hindiaby mung bean plant Vigna radiate L. is a local category to study the interrelated effect of both the Mycorrhiza  fungi (Glomusmosseae(and the Rhizobia bacteria (R.leguminosarum)Under levels of water stress. Three treatments of irrigation are used ; (S1 irrigation every 5 days and S2 irrigation every 10 days and S3 irrigation every 15 days) and four levels of Bio fertilizer are used (without inoculation) (C0)and (Rhizobium inoculation) (R) and (mycorrhiza inoculation)(M) and (the interaction between mycorrhiza and Rhizobium) (M+R).  A split plot in randomized complete block design is used with three replications to do this experiment. Treatments of irrigation are used as main plots while Bio fertilizer levels are used as sub-plot. Least significant difference (LSD) at 5% probability is used to compare between the means.    The results showed irrigation every 5 days (S1) was superior in having  the highest average of (The dry weight of the root, number of pod per plant, number of  seeds per pod ,100 seeds weight ,seed yield ,Biological yield) Amount(0.78 gm. Plant-1, 31.33 pods. Plant-1 , 8.45 seed .pod-1 , 3.82 gm ,3.77  tan .ha-1 , 7.37tan .ha-1) respectively. without significant difference between them treatmentof irrigation 10 days (S2) in 100-seed weight3.50  gm. Moreover treatment Bio fertilizer (R+M) significantly gives the highest means for yield and yield components (0.89 gm. Plant-1, 33.64pods. Plant-1, 8.42  seed .pod-1, 4.10 gm , 4.00 tan .ha-1, 7.70 tan .ha-1) respectively. The interaction among (R+M)S1,(R+M)S2 and(M)S1 significantly give the highest means for all plant characteristics

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of bacterial bio-fertilization A. chroococcum and P. putide and four levels of compost (0, 1, 2, 3) tons.h-1 on the leaves content of N.P.K elements. The experiment was carried out in one of the greenhouses of the College of Agriculture - University of Al-Qadisiyah during fall season 2018-2019. It designed in accordance with the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates in sandy loam soil. The means of treatments were compared with the least significant difference (LSD) at (5)% probability level. The results present that the treatments of A. chroococcum, P. putide and compost at (3) tons.kg-1 significantly increases the leaves content of K.P.K compared to all other treatments in the flowering stage (4.970, 0.5000, and 4.930) mg.kg-1, respectively. This treatment was followed by the effect of the treatment of A. chroococcum and compost at (3) tons.kg-1, which increases the values of all traits except the leaf content of (P). Bio-fertilizer with P. putide + A. chroococcum significantly increases the leaves' content of P.
