This article reports on a study that was carried out to establish determinants of ICT integration in mathematics teaching and learning. This paper focuses on the kind of support teachers require to effectively use ICT in teaching mathematics. An exploratory sequential mixed methods research design was employed to conduct this study in which quantitative data was initially collected in the first phase. Qualitative data was then collected in the second phase to explain the quantitative data collected in the initial phase. The study targeted all the teachers teaching in lower grades in both private and public schools. A sample size of 40 lower primary schools were purposively selected based on the availability of ICT tools for instructional purposes in those schools. Three teachers teaching in grade one, two and three were then selected using simple random sampling technique especially in cases where more than three teachers existed. Teacher Questionnaire, Teacher Interview Protocol and Observation Protocol were used to collect data. Data was analyzed qualitatively using descriptive phenomenological analysis in which data transcriptions were divided into themes and sub-themes related to phenomena under study. The findings of the study revealed that there was a significant relationship between supporting teachers’ use of ICT in the classroom and their actual use of ICT in teaching mathematics. The study findings however revealed that teachers teaching lower grades in Mombasa, Kenya were not adequately supported in their use of ICT in teaching mathematics. It was recommended that teachers must be granted adequate support in their use of ICT in teaching mathematics.

The use of e-learning is becoming the global issue now. In an educational field, there are many institutions already use it. The study very important aimed to test the feasibility and effectiveness the development of instructional materials e-learning based on the blended learning in audio/radio media development course. The background laid behind the problem is the experience the students had that is having difficulties in developing the audio/radio media manuscript. This caused by the limited time lecturer had to explain the screenwriting material, and duration the students had to write the audio/radio script, so it affected the lack of students’ understanding of the course material also to the students’ scriptwriting result which is not feasible to produce yet. Standard mastery of the subject specified within 6 (six) weeks in maximum, and the students should have been able to develop the script established on the rules of production. Thus, the outcome of this research would be the e-learning-based instructional materials based on blended learning, Semester Lesson Plan (SLP) audio/radio media. This inquiry aims at the improvement of the quality of the work of the audio/radio manuscript. This study implements the Research and Development methodology which is based on the steps generally refers to the opinion of Borg and Gall. The R & D steps was done with modified to simplify it into three main stages, namely the introduction, the development, and testing. Data obtained from the learning experts get the percentage of 91.67%, the course professionals and media specialists each earn a percentage of 100%. Based on these data, the model of blended learning instructional materials for the development of audio/radio media course that have been developed could be the solution of the research question stated that blended learning models of instructional materials that have been evolved are practical for use in learning instructional activity.

Principal component in teaching mathematics for teacher is professional competence. It cover how the teacher understand the material of subject matter itself. Teaching Mathematics in Junior High School, teacher have to understand completely in Numbers, Algebra, Geometry and measurements, and also Statistics and probability. Based on the exam and discussion in workshop, known that math teacher in Pesisir Selatan having problems in teaching Geometry and measurement and also Statistics and probability. The problems are complexity of teaching materials, error in translating competence standard and basic competence into lesson plan, time management and student’s motivation in studying math. Solution that offered to the teacher are translating basic competence into learning process and trick how to teach Geometry and Statistics especially. Teaching geometry by explain all geometry object, i.e. plane and space simultaneously and compare each object directly. Teaching statistics and probability starting by counting process.

This research aims to examine the effectiveness guided inquiry learning model based on blended learning on reaction rate material to improve students' critical thinking skills. The design in this research is the One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The subjects in this research were students of SMAN 1 Kalitidu Bojonegoro in class XI IPA 1. The method used to collect data was the test, observation, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis used the percentage, mean, N-Gain, and Paired sample t-test. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning model based on blended learning was carried out well with an average percentage of the implementation of phase 1 was 98%, phase 2 was 93.76%, phase 3 was 100%, phase 4 was 93.75%, phase 5 was 100%. The average score of the N-gain critical thinking skills is 0.73 with the high category. There is a significant difference in the results of critical thinking skills between before and after being given a guided inquiry learning model based on blended learning. The results showed the guided inquiry learning model based on blended learning effectively improving students' critical thinking skills.

This study aims at examining the readiness of the Diploma-II holders of Primary Teachers Education of STIT AL-Hilal Sigli in drawing up the Lesson Plan and implementing the teaching and learning interactions in the classroom. In particular, the study attempts to figure out whether the teaching and learning interaction meet the methods listed in the Lesson Plan (RPP) and the assessment system of learner’s performance in Islamic Primary schools throughout Pidie regency. The sample of this study is nineteen Islamic Primary schools throughout Pidie regency. While to collect data from the research field, the researchers used observation, interviews, and documents. The result indicates that: (1) in general, the teachers have good and considerate preparation in drawing up the Lesson Plan within a sufficient time instead having an extemporaneous teaching. They commonly conducted the Lesson Plan preparation through the discussion with other fellow teachers which avoids them from having a significant obstacle. The only considerable stumbling blocks are the learning source, learning media, and psychological factors. All the written Lesson Plans will be accounted to the principal, superintendent, and the education department. Otherwise, the teachers will be penalized for not making one. (2) The method specified in the Lesson Plan does not correspond to the methods used in teaching and learning in general. (3) The respondents generally do not apply taxonomic Bloom in the grading system in schools where they are in charge.
