This paper aims to share the experience acquired with students of the 3rd year (namely the 12th grade of the Portuguese educational system) at the Vocational School for the Recovery of Heritage of Sintra in the Course of Studies for Conservation and Restoration Assistants in the field of Plaster Restoration, in the classes of Work-Related Training and Analytical Methods of Examination and Laboratory Analysis, by carrying out theoretical-practical work and training in a work context specifically focused on Portuguese heritage, demonstrating how practical classes motivate students and prepare them for future professional work. This vocational course helps students to reflect and question themselves on the role of “looking” at heritage. Thus, its cross information, both interdisciplinary and from the historical-artistic context of the monument, will provide a better perspective over its materiality and its use. In situ learning awakens students to the reality of work. The notion that they are helping to maintain the memory of ancestors credits them and gives them confidence in their work. After presenting their Final Year Projects, they look at heritage with a more awakened vision. With this, they have the perception that they have contributed to the reconstruction of memory, their cultural heritage.

Concrete is a very important building material used in the world of construction services, and it is generally known that the good and bad properties of concrete can be seen from its compressive strength. Concrete consists of Portland Cement (PC) or other hydraulic cement, fine aggregates, coarse aggregates, and water, with or without using additional materials. Cement is one of the main mixtures of concrete constituents composed of natural resources such as lime (CaO), Silica (SiO₃), alumina (Al2O₃), little magnesia (MgO), and alkali. Silica is also found in corn. according to (Roesmarkam and Yuwono, 2002) corn plants have a Silica content of 20.6%. This study aims to determine the effect of utilization of corn stalk ash on compressive strength and modulus of elasticity of concrete. Cornstalk ash is used as a partial substitute for cement, with a mixture composition of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%. This study uses SNI 03-2834-2000 for mix design, with the added ingredient of 0.25% sikament NN. Cylindrical test specimen size (150 mm x 300 mm), the specimen was treated and tested at 28 days. Based on research using corn stalk ash 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%. either without or using sikament NN the highest compressive strength at 8% is 20.8 Mpa and 20.4 Mpa, and decrease in usage of 10% corn stalk ash which is 18.2 Mpa and 18, 4 Mpa. The highest elastic modulus without or with sikament NN present in 8% ie 21656.14 Mpa and 21607.52 MPa. Modulus of Elasticity value decreased in the use of corn stalks 10% ash is 20366.28 Mpa and 20569.59 MPa. Based on the research, corn stalk ash can replace the role of part of cement in construction using corn stalk ash 8%.

This research examined the role of the headmaster and pedagogical competences of teacher in Vocational School and also to see the relationship between the two variables. The populations in this research were 72 teacher and 40 samples using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The research used likert scale as instrument. A score of variable leadership of headmaster was 0,907 and pedagogical score of teachers competence was, 897, which mean the instrument was reliable. The data was analyzed by product moment correlation, r score = .33 > = .284 believed r table standard 95%. Research found that there are relationships between the roles of headmaster with the pedagogy competencies of teacher in Vocational School.

The law on construction services has been in effect for seventeen years, but the world of construction services in Indonesia has not been very exciting, especially for construction workers for large-scale and high-tech projects. Indonesia's workforce is still considered not to have capability comparable with foreign construction workforce.

To realize the success of quality buildings and able to function as planned, needed human resources of good quality as well.

And the professional ability of the construction workforce is evidenced by the possession of a skill or skill certificate. As mandated by the Construction Services Act No. 18 of 1999 article 9. that any individual employed by a business entity as a construction planner or supervisor of a particular construction or energy in a construction business enterprise shall have a certificate of expertise.

Based on the research factors that most affect the application of Construction Services Act of 1999 memnai certificate of competence of experts on the implementation of construction work.is a factor of human resources such as education experts, experience, training, age and ownership of certificates. Another factor is the method of implementation of work such as coordination and decision making, while the political factor is the regulation of rules and leadership factors, such as motivation and awards To know how far and how big the role of these construction service experts in achieving the success of construction work, so much in demand by both local and foreign workers, it is deemed necessary to research the role of experts in contributing to the success of a construction work.

Therefore it is necessary to develop further research on the readiness of experts in terms of the fulfillment of the requirements and expertise, in order to obtain the predicate of professional engineers or professional engineers through certification of expertise held by professional associations that followed.

This study aims to study the description of the leadership of school principals in Panca Sakti Vocational School Makassar. This study uses quantitative research with 36 teachers from Makassar Panca Sakti Vocational School. Data collection uses collection techniques, questionnaires, interviews and collection while the data analysis technique used is percentage. The results of this study show how the role of the principal of the Panca Sakti Makassar Vocational School is categorized as good with a percentage of 82.7 percent. This can be seen from various indicators regarding the leadership of school principals where they were asked as executors to be well approved with a percentage of 82.02 percent, as planners expressed as good with a percentage of 84.22 percent, as supervisors categorized as good at 81.3 percent, acting as supporters of rewards / praise and sentences were stated to be quite good with a percentage of 75.7 percent, acting as a referee and claimants were declared good with a percentage of 88 percent, and holders of responsibility for group members were categorized as good with a percentage of 88.61 percent.

The clamour for engineering and infrastructure in national development in all spheres of development is more in the developed nations but the responsibility is no less for the developing economies/nations. A lot of effort has been made in sustaining engineering and infrastructural development in Nigeria; still there are more deficiencies in the formalization. Therefore this paper contributes to effort of formalizing the role it play in the national development. The sources of data were mainly on secondary source which rely on much of literature review and the analysis was analytical. The finding reveals the role of engineering and infrastructure in national development and its sustainability. It also state that institution should be established to set a clear plans and rule for service provision, regulate and monitor service quality, coordinate engineering and infrastructural project efficiently and equitably in maintenance of the existing infrastructure. The paper concludes that the government is encouraged to show more commitment to engineering and infrastructure development than ever. It also states that good quality engineering and infrastructure is necessary to avoid bottlenecks and services disruption and to support a range of importance activities in the economy. It was recommended that government should ensure that the standard and policies relating to infrastructural development are addressed and handled holistically. And that effective evaluation of contracts, consulting and construction services of the required professionals should be put in place for proper implementation.
