With the speedy development of urban mass transit in China, more and more building environment problems are coming forth in many cities. How to choose available construction method to fast, safely and economically build subway engineering is worthy to be urgently studied. A new-type subway station construction method called top-down boring with cast-in-situ arch is presented through a large number of design calculations, research and analysis, on the basis of conscientiously analyzing traditional tunneling methods and engineering practice. Some advantages of this new method are briefly introduced, compared with the shallow mining methods for underground engineering construction, as well as its application in subway engineering. According to further study, this new construction method will be widely used in underground engineering projects. At the same time, the relative theory of this new method will be validated and promoted.

The surrounding rock may become unstable or even fall down and the initial support may crack and be destroyed when the construction method of the underground excavation tunnel is not properly selected in the turn line of metro. . A section of the Santunbei turn line of Urumqi Metro Line 1# was taken as the engineering background. The proposed construction method was analyzed by numerical simulation. Numerical analysis shows that the final surface settlement caused by the proposed construction method is 3.0 mm and the horizontal convergence is 3.2 mm. It also turns out that the proposed construction method causes less deformation, and the method can be applied to the construction of the small interval tunnel in the Santunbei turn line of metro. The rationality of the method and numerical model was further verified by comparison between the monitored data of surface settlement, horizontal convergence and vault sinking, and numerical simulation results. Finally, the deformation and stress of the six construction methods were compared. The deformation and stress caused by the six construction methods are almost the same. It indicates that the construction spacing between the left and right tunnels does not affect the safety of tunnel construction. Therefore, the appropriate construction spacing could be selected according to the resource configuration, instead of deformation and stress.

Ameliorating the smoothness of the data sequence is an effective way to enhance the prediction accuracy of GM (1,1) model. With deep analysis of the existing strengthen operator, two types of new strengthen operator have constructed in this paper according to the new buffer operator axioms and principles of information priority. The article has studied its characteristics and internal relations, such examples have demonstrated the effectiveness and practicality of operators, while solving the problem about the quantitative predictions inconsistent with qualitative conclusions we can refer to the methods.

Undercutting method is now adopted in prosperous cities or complex areas with all kinds of surroundings, but this method has great risks. Undercutting method includes many ways, it is important to choose a rational one in one certain project. Based on the design and the construction, this paper analyzes the CRD method, the PBA method, the Middle Hole Construction method and the Double Side Drift method which were widely used in China. The paper takes the safety, the cost and the construction time into account, using Comprehensive Evaluation and Fuzzy Mathematics to make sure that the chosen construction method is the most feasible one. Through analysis we could ensure that the construction of the Metro engineering is safe, economic and quick.

The development of underground spaces in urban areas plays a crucial role in the regeneration and sustainability of cities. However, the conventional underground excavation works in metropolises limit the use of the ground facilities owing to stability, noise, and vibration problems, which may cause huge economic damage. In this study, a method of pre-constructing slabs of underground facilities was analyzed to improve the stability of the floating and underground extension method, even during the use of the target building. First, a numerical simulation was conducted to compare the stability of the top-down method with slab pre-construction with that of the conventional top-down method. Then, the stability of the test bed was checked by applying this construction method to the field. As a result, the top-down method with slab pre-construction significantly improved the stability of the target building by preventing the buckling of the columns and supporting members. The increase in the displacement of existing columns and supporting members was controlled after the pre-construction of the slab. In addition, the crack width and ground settlement were stable within the management standards at the field. Thus, this construction method is expected to be crucial in pursuing urban regeneration and sustainability through the efficient development of underground spaces.
