Massive Open Online Courses, aka MOOCs, have become an indispensable part of the online education routine. Many universities and organizations put a lot of effort into designing, developing, and running such courses. However, it still remains to be an under-researched area. One of the most important issues associated with success in MOOCs is the learner motivation. High dropout and low retention rates have been attributed to learners' low motivation. A recipe for these motivational challenges in MOOCs is provided by the ARCS-V motivational theory. This motivation design model provides a frame for analyzing the MOOCs learners, learning environment, and the resources. Based on this analysis, the model provides suggestions for assigning motivational tactics and strategies. Therefore, the purpose of this chapter is to introduce Keller's ARCS-V motivational design model and discuss it as a potential remedy to motivational issues in MOOCs by administering and delivering motivational strategies based on the model in MOOCs environments.

Outbreaks and isolation due to at home due to COVID-19 outbreaks may have many psychological consequences on human life. Psychological consequences that are not detected early can cause problems in the future that can disrupt the lives of families and sufferers, therefore the need for screening tests that are accurate and reliable in detecting the appearance of psychiatric symptoms during isolation.The survey research was carried out virtually via Google Form This method was chosen because of the condition of Large Scale Social Restrictions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, which made it impossible to conduct face-to-face interviews. The sample of this research is all of the productive age community with exclusion criteria in the form of incomplete data or unwilling to join the research. This research is a preliminary study of a series of validity and reliability test processes. Internal validity test analysis using the Pearson Product Moment method with the interpretation of the questions is said to be valid if the correlation rho (r) ≥ 0.3. Analysis of reliability testing using the Cronbach α test method with reliable interpretation if the minimum value of Cronbach α is 0.6. 281 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The results of testing with Pearson Product Moment or Pearson Correlation obtained the value of rho (r) in all questions is above 0.3. The reliability test results using the Cronbach α test are 0.935 with the Cronbach's Alpha if Item Deleted value on each grain below the Cronbach α value. Cabin Fever Phenomenon (CFP) Indonesian Version is proven to have good validity and excellent reliability to detect the appearance of psychiatric symptoms during isolation. Konsekuensi psikologi yang tidak terdeteksi dini dapat menyebabkan permasalahan dikemudian hari yang dapat mengganggu kehidupan keluarga dan penderitanya, Oleh karena itu perlu adanya alat uji penapisan yang akurat serta handal dalam mendeteksi munculnya gejala psikiatri selama masa isolasi. Penelitian survei yang dilaksanakan di secara virtual melalui google form. Metode ini dipilih karena kondisi Pembatasan Sosial Skala Besar (PSBB) akibat Pandemik Covid-19 yang tidak memungkinkan untuk melakukan wawancara secara tatap muka. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat usia produktif dengan kriteria eksklusi berupa data yang tidak lengkap atau tidak bersedia mengikuti penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan dari serangkaian proses uji kesahihan dan kehandalan. Analisa uji kesahihan internal menggunakan metode Pearson Product Moment dengan interpretasi bulir pertanyaan dikatakan sahih jika korelasi rho (r) ≥ 0,3. Analisa uji kehandalan menggunakan metode pengujian Cronbach α dengan interpretasi handal bila nilai minimum Cronbach α sebesar 0,6. 281 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil pengujian dengan Pearson Product Moment atau Pearson Correlation didapatkan nilai rho (r) pada seluruh bulir pertanyaan adalah diatas 0,3 . Hasil uji kehandalan menggunakan uji Cronbach α adalah 0,935 dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha if Item Deleted pada masing-masing bulir dibawah nilai Cronbach α. Cabin Fever Phenomenon (CFP) Versi Indonesia terbukti memiliki kesahihan yang baik serta kehandalan yang sangat baik untuk mendeteksi munculnya gejala psikiatri selama masa isolasi. Perlu dilakukan uji kesahihan lanjutan seperti uji kesahihan eksternal.

Product quality is a condition of labor, tasks, processes and an environment with changing conditions for the fulfillment of daily needs. Which in this case shows that the quality of the product has a function that can satisfy consumers in meeting consumer product needs. The object of this research is Cafe KO.WE.COK Solo. To determine whether or not a product quality, price and service quality affect customer satisfaction is the aim of this study. Using a questionnaire including primary data to analyze the data in this study. The sample taken in this study were 50 respondents and the sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The results of the study used the validity test method, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, T test, F test, and the coefficient of determination test. From the calculation of the validity test the value of r results is greater (>) than the value of r table, so the validity test has valid results. From the calculation of reliability it is said to be reliable or reliable. From the research results, the classical assumption test consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Shows normality test results and does not occur multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity does not occur. The multiple linear regression test shows that these variables can increase customer satisfaction at the KO.WE.COK Solo cafe. In the F test, the three X variables are said to be jointly influencing and related to customer satisfaction.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas mata kuliah Bela Negara terhadap kesantunan berbahasa mahasiswa kepada dosen sesuai dengan teori kesantunan Leech. Terdapat perbedaan sikap dalam hal kesantunan berbahasa antara mahasiswa yang belum dan telah mempelajari mata kuliah Bela Negara. Perbedaan sikap ini merupakan indikator yang menandakan bahwa mata kuliah Bela Negara terbukti berhasil dan efektif dalam membentuk karakter mahasiswa UPN Veteran Jawa Timur.  Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan maksim-maksim kesantunan berbahasa pada tuturan tertulis menggunakan media komunikasi WA (whatsapp) antara dosen dan mahasiswa di Prodi Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, UPN Veteran Jawa Timur. Metode pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah agih dengan teknik pilah dan perluas. Metode pengujian kesahihan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kesantunan berbahasa antara mahasiswa yang telah menerima dan belum menerima mata kuliah Bela Negara. Mahasiswa yang telah menerima Mata Kuliah Bela Negara lebih santun dalam berbahasa dan berkomunikasi menggunakan media WA dibandingkan mahasiswa yang belum menerima mata kuliah Bela Negara.Kata kunci: bela negara, kesantunan berbahasa, maksim percakapanABSTRACTThis study aims to measure the effectiveness of the Defending Country course on the politeness of students' language to lecturers in accordance with Leech politeness theory. There are differences in attitudes in terms of politeness in language between students who have not and have studied the Defending Country courses. This difference in attitude is an indicator that indicates that the Bela Negara course has proven to be successful and effective in shaping the character of UPN Veteran students in East Java. This study examines the use of maxim politeness language in written speech using WA (whatsapp) communication media between lecturers and students at the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN Veteran East Java. The data collection method is in the form of documentation. The data analysis method used is divided into sort and expand techniques. The validity test method uses triangulation of data sources. The results showed a difference in politeness in language between students who had received and had not received the Defending Country course. Students who have received Defending Country courses are more polite in language and communication using WA media compared to students who have not received Defending Country courses.Keywords: bela negara, politeness in language, maxim of conversation

The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning media on computer and basic networks subject that are valid, practical and effective. This reasearch is used the Four-D design model that is applied to develop and test the validity, practicality and effectiveness of interactive learning media in computer and basic networkinglearning. The research is used the Four-D model include defining, designing, developing, and distributing. The results of the validity test on interactive learning media are valid. Based on teachers and students responses about instructional media shows the results of interactive learning media are very practical and learning outcomes from students indicate the learning media has been effectively used for computer and basic networkinglearning. The analysis resultshows that interactive learning media is better in improving student learning processes.

This researh aims to detect the presence of histamine by forming complex compounds of 5-fluorouracil, Mn (II) metal ions and alizarin red S reagents. This type of research is a laboratory experiment. This research was conducted at the Ikip Chemistry Laboratory in 2019. The results showed that the Test Kit that was made could be used to detect the presence of histamine determining the existence of histamine qualitatively viewable color formed based on complex compounds of  Mn(II)-His-5FU-ARS seen from the shift in wavelength of maximum generated.. The making of the histamine test kit is made by varying the concentration of 10-100 ppm at 10 ppm   intervals under optimum conditions and can be used to make a color comparator solution. Then  the method validity test is done by making a standard histamine curve that gives a regression equation  y = 0.001x + 0.3364 with a correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.9972. Based on the validity test method, the accuracy value is in the range of  95.0-106% and the results of the test kit on tuna samples indicate that the histamine test kit made has a good accuracy value because the average recovery value is 96%.

The study offers a detailed explanation of performance, origin and classification of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). The paper also overviews the current status in applying POPs in foam concentrates and its test method in China. The author indicates that to test perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS) in foam concentrates involves two steps, pretreatment and test. Provided the test equipment is of high reliability and validity, test result solely depends on the result of pretreatment.
