Several previous studies have shown that students have difficulty integrating ethnoscience into science learning. Students are more likely to be introduced to the basic concepts of ethnoscience without involving how to integrate ethnoscience into science learning. The impact is that students’ scientific literacy is low. This is what underlies researchers to apply the Local Wisdom Integrated Science (LWIS) learning model by using local Madurese content to train students’ scientific literacy. The aim of this study was to evaluate differences in student scientific literacy after implementing the LWIS learning model in ethnoscience learning with local Madurese content. The method used was pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. When the study was carried out in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year by taking 22 students via purposive sampling technique as a sample of all students in class 6A of science education, Trunojoyo University, Madura. Analysis of data using descriptive statistics and paired sample t test. The results showed that there were different in the scientific literacy of the students using the LWIS learning model before and after studying ethnoscience with local Madurese material. The entire LWIS syntax helps train students' scientific literacy by including self-awareness of the importance of local Madurese content as a learning context. Ethnoscience can be integrated into science learning through the STEAM approach. The contribution of STEAM to the LWIS learning model and self-awareness is very significant in developing ethnoscience learning for local Madurese content from elementary, middle, and tertiary level.

The objectives of this research are to: 1) determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on cognitive learning outcomes; and 2) to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on students' scientific literacy. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The research design of pre-test-post-test non equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMPN 1 Tanjung North Lombok Regency in the academic year 2017/2018 which consisted of 6 classes. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, in order to obtain class VII 3 as the experimental class and class VII 1 as the control class. The instruments used to collect data were multiple choice questions totaling 20 items to measure student cognitive learning outcomes and essay questions to measure content and the scientific context. Meanwhile, worksheets are used to measure the scientific process. The data analysis technique used two-way ANOVA with a significance level of 0.05% using SPSS 16 for Windows. The results showed that: 1) there was an effect of the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on cognitive learning outcomes (p <0.05); and 2) there is an effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on students' scientific literacy (p <0.05).

ABSTRACTThis research is based on the problems that exist in SMPN 18 Padang, students learning competencies are still low. Efforts that can be made are applying the learning model Power of Two with scientific literacy on digestive system material at SMPN 18 Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the competency of students through the model The power of twowith scientific literacy in the material of human digestive systems in SMPN 18 Padang.This type of research is experimental research with a randomized control group posttest only design. The population in this study were all class VIII SMPN 18 Padang registered in the 2018/2019. Sampling was done using technique Simple Random Sampling, which was chosen as the sample of the study was class VIII.6 as the experimental and  VIII.7 as the control class. The instruments used were in the form of questions posttest for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude and skills. The hypothesis was tested using the t-test, can be concluded that the competence of learners knowledge tcount 5,72> ttable 1.67, the competence of attitude  value tcount 1,84> ttable 1,67, and the competency of skills value tcount 3.39> ttable 1.67. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. Concluded that the application of model The power of two with scientific literacy can improve the competency of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of class VIII students of SMPN 18 Padang. Keywords: the power of two,  scientific literacy, learning competency

This research is motivated by the learning process carried out in class V of SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur, SD Negeri 1 Metro Barat, SD Negeri 1 Metro Utara dan SD Negeri 5 Metro Pusat. The implementation of the learning process carried out by teachers who generally still use conventional learning methods and models that are only fixated on books and more teacher-centered, students listen to explanations from the teacher, take notes, memorize information and work on problems. practice questions rather than doing practical activities through experiments or experiments. As a result, the learning process becomes less attractive and seems monotonous because students tend to be passive and less participatory in learning activities. Teachers lack innovation in the use of active and innovative methods or learning models that are more student centered. That is, learning that provides more opportunities for students to construct independently the process of understanding material through a more active learning process through search activities and problem solving. In response to this, researchers conduct learning using a project based learning learning model with the aim of improving students' science process skills and scientific literacy skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the influence of the PjBL model on process skills and scientific literacy skills. The type of this study is quasi-experimental research using the design of nonequivalent groups pre test-post test from Fraenkel and Wallen. The design of nonequivalent groups pre test - post test was started by setting the experimental group and the control group, then doing the pre test, followed by giving treatment to the two classes and ending with a post test. The subjects in this study were fifth grade elementary school students in Metro City. Data collection techniques in the form of tests. The research instrument is a spatial literacy test sheet. Data were analyzed using normality test and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that the PjBL model can improve science process skills and higher scientific literacy skills compared to groups of students who get conventional learning. AbstractThe study is to provide an alternative science learning model of an elementary school that can invite students to improve science literacy. As observations and questionnaires of researchers in a preliminary study at two elementary schools in the city of Cirebon, West Java, it was found that based on the average results of the initial analysis of scientific literacy tests of students from the two schools, an average of 85.7% showed negative results with the ability to answer the practice of science questions in the form of literacy, which means that students have not been able to answer literacy questions test. The research method uses model development the ASSURE development model starting with Student analysis; setting goals; choose a method, media / material, use media & material; activating student involvement as well as evaluations & revisions developed by Sharon Smaldino. As for the preliminary study conducted by analyzing 5th-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) PGM and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI)  An-Nur Cirebon as samples and also observing teachers from the two schools, so this research produces a SIBELPOLEN model for science learning, which consists of teaching syntax, teacher roles, support system, accompaniment impact, instructional impact and designing lesson plans that can improve Science literacy competence of elementary school students.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif model pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di sekolah dasar dalam  meningkatkan literasi sains pada siswa. Hasil observasi dan angket peneliti dalam studi pendahuluan di dua Sekolah Dasar di Kota Cirebon Jawa Barat diketahui bahwa berdasarkan rata-rata hasil analisis awal tes literasi sains siswa dari dua sekolah tersebut rata-rata 85,7% menunjukkan hasil negatif dengan kemampuan menjawab soal latihan soal IPA berupa literasi yang artinya siswa belum mampu menjawab soal tes literasi. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan pengembangan model ASSURE yang diawali dengan Student analysis; menetapkan tujuan; pilih metode, media / material, gunakan media & material; mengaktifkan keterlibatan siswa serta evaluasi & revisi yang dikembangkan oleh Sharon Smaldino. Adapun studi pendahuluan dilakukan dengan menganalisis siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) PGM dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) An-Nur Cirebon sebagai sampel dan juga melakukan observasi terhadap guru dari kedua sekolah tersebut, maka penelitian ini menghasilkan model SIBELPOLEN untuk pembelajaran IPA. yang terdiri dari: sintaks pengajaran, peran guru, sistem pendukung, dampak pendampingan, dampak instruksional dan merancang rencana pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi literasi sains siswa sekolah dasarHow to Cite: Syamsi, A, M. In the strict challenges faced by society, a paradigm shift is needed in the education system that can provide a set of 21st century skills needed by students to deal with every aspect of global life. One of them is scientific literacy. Unfortunately, the scientific literacy ability of students in Indonesia is still low. The Inquiry and SETS models have been widely applied to improve students' scientific literacy skills. However, weaknesses are found such as: students still cannot use their content knowledge to explain scientific phenomena perfectly; and the need for more in-depth inquiry activities so that students' abilities in designing and evaluating scientific investigations obtain excellent results. Therefore, innovation was created to develop the BRADeR learning model based on consideration of the strengths and weaknesses of the inquiry model and SETS as well as theoretical and empirical support. This research serves as a preliminary study in the process of developing the BRADeR model to improve students' scientific literacy skills. This study includes a needs analysis and literature review. The results show that innovation can be maintained as a basis for developing a hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model. The syntax of the BRADeR model includes: brainstorming, reading, analyzing, decision making, and reflection. The hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model must be tested to meet the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve the scientific literacy skills of junior high school students.
