Two new heterocyclic Organmercury compounds   were prepared from the reaction of Sulfamethaxazole and Sulfadiazine with 4-acetaminophenol as a coupler and separated as solids with characteristic colors. these compounds were characterized by F.T.IR-spectroscopy 1H-NMR , Micro-elemental Analysis and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques . The work involves a study of acid – base properties compounds at different pH values, the ionization and protonation constants were calculated. The thermal behavior of these two compounds   were investigated on the basis of thermogravimetric (TGA) and differential thermogravimetric (DTG) analyses, Thermal decomposition of these compounds is multi-stage processes.

There are several protocols for the preparation of bicyclic derivatives; however, some methods use dangerous and require special conditions. The aim of this study was to synthesize a new Dioxaspiro[ bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-oxabicyclo[6.2.0]-deca-1(10), 8-dien-4-one (compound 8). Compound 8 was prepared using some reactions such as; i) etherification, ii) reduction, iii) amidation, iv) imination and v) 2+2 addition. The chemical structure of 8 and its intermediaries were completely characterized by spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. The synthesis showed a yield of 85% for compound 8. In this study, an easy method for the preparation of compound 8 is reported.

( E)-4-[2-(Pyridin-4-yl)vinyl]benzaldehyde, containing both a 4-vinylpyridine and an aldehyde functionality, is utilized to develop new, highly conjugated chalcone compounds and a bis-Schiff base azine compound. The chalcone-containing compounds are further explored for their protonation, methylation and silver(I) coordination chemistry using the pyridine moiety. In parallel, a cyano-containing analogue, ( E)-4-[2-(pyridin-4-yl)vinyl]benzonitrile is also synthesized and studied for its silver(I) coordination chemistry. These new compounds are fully characterized by mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques. The methylated product of ( E)-1-(9-anthryl)-3-{4-[2-(pyridin-4-yl)vinyl]phenyl}prop-2-en-1-one and a silver complex of ( E)-4-[2-(pyridin-4-yl)vinyl]benzonitrile are structurally determined by X-ray crystallography.

New ternary Eu(III) 5-(2-pyridyl-1-oxide)tetrazolate complexes with phosphine oxide co-ligands have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, and IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic techniques. The analytical data revealed that these complexes are mononuclear, and the central Eu(III) ion is coordinated by three oxygen and three nitrogen atoms of the tetrazolate and two oxygen atoms from the phosphine oxide ligands. The ancillary ligands increased remarkably the luminescence efficiency of the Eu(III) tetrazolate.

In this study, a new series consisting of 12 heteroaryl chalcone derivatives of 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene were synthesised. Chalcones were synthesised in high purity and efficiency, via condensation of mono, bis and tris 2,4,6-trimethoxy acetophenones with hetero-2-carbaldehyde derivatives based on Claisen Schdmit condensation. The reactions feature a good scope for the all products, mild reaction conditions and good yields. The synthesized compounds were characterized by using FT-IR, NMR and elemental analysis spectroscopic techniques.

For the first time, bis[octakis-(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropoxy)phthalocyaninato] rare-earth metal(III) double-decker phthalocyanine complexes (Pc2Sm, Pc2Eu, Pc2Gd, Pc2Dy and Pc2Lu) are synthesized. The new phthalocyanine complexes are characterized using mass, FT-IR and UV-vis spectroscopic techniques as well as elemental analysis. All these compounds exhibit excellent solubility in organic solvents. The photophysical and photochemical properties of the rare-earth metal(III) double-decker complexes are investigated and discussed.

Anew series of dichloro/dinitrato (2,6,9,13,18-pentaazacbicyclo [12.3.1]octadeca -1(18),14,16-triene) metal(II) [MLX2](M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II); X = Cl or NO3) and (2,6,9,13,18-pentaazacyclo[12.3.1]octadeca-1(18),14,16-triene) copper(II) dichloride/dinitrate [CuL]X2 (X = Cl or NO3) have been synthesized by the template condensation reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine with 1,2-diaminoethane and 1,3-dibromopropane. The complexes were studied by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. Various spectroscopic techniques, viz. IR, 1H-NMR, EPR, UV/Vis, were used to establish their structures. Except for the complexes of copper(II), which are square planar, all other complexes have octahedral structures.

In present work, the formation of α-hydroxycarboxylic acids have been described from various aromatic aldehydes and ketones via direct electrocarboxylation method with 80-92% of yield without any side product and can be purified by simple recrystallization using sacrificial Mg anode and Pt cathode in an undivided cell, CO2 at (1 atm) was continuously bubbled in the cell throughout the reaction using tetrapropyl-ammonium chloride as a supporting electrolyte in acetonitrile. The synthesized compounds obtained in fair to excellent yield with a high level of purity. The characterization of electrocarboxylated compounds was done with spectroscopic techniques like IR, NMR (1H & 13C), mass and elemental analysis.

Curcumin-Fe(III) complex was prepared from Fe(NO3)3·9H2O precursor and curcumin by refluxing a slightly basic methanolic solution of their mixture with the objective of investigating its cytotoxicity. The enol form of curcumin ligand was established by FTIR, UV/Vis,1H NMR, and13C NMR spectroscopy. The as-prepared product was characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, UV, and Mössbauer spectroscopic techniques. An octahedral high-spin Fe(III) complex was obtained,δ, 0.37 mms−1; Q.S., 0.79 mms−1; no magnetic relaxation was observed at liquid N2temperature, neither reduction of Fe(III). The tested cytotoxicity of the as-prepared complex on four cancer cell lines indicated inhibition of the curcumin activity upon complexing with iron.
