Every company carries out functions contained in management, the company must have a well-defined plan. The existence of a plan in a company is very influential on the performance process in the period of dependence to obtain good management results, therefore managers in the company must be able to master the whole of the existing management functions.Problems faced by PT. PLN (Persero) The current Medan Area is the absence of a supervisor selection program that uses measurements based on aspects and criteria that are absolutely set by the company. However, with the many criteria needed to become a supervisor, decision makers must be observant in choosing prospective replacement supervisors who will fill supervisor positions in their companies. The Preference Selection Index method generates a ranking of the selection of an object with the success of the best index up to poor. This method is useful when there are conflicts in determining the relative importance between attributes. In the PSI method, the results are obtained with minimal and simple calculations as they are based on statistical concepts without the need for attribute weights. With proper consideration, this method can be one of the tools for specific selection in decision-making systems, especially the selection of the best planning supervisors. The choice of the best supervisor planning taken as a basis for decision making, must use criteria that can be defined clearly and objectivelyKeywords: Supervisor, Decision, Planning

A selection of optimal electrical energy equipment provides the better energy economics in terms of saving in energy or fully utilization of energy, saving in running cost and also provides the better human comfort. Hence, in the present work integrated multi criteria decision making methodology is presented for selection of appropriate electrical energy equipment. The proposed methodology is integration two diverse multi criteria decision making methods; Analytical hierarchy (AHP) and Preference selection index (PSI) method. In the proposed methodology, integrated normalized selection index is computed for every electrical energy equipments and based on it all the electrical energy equipments are ranked and appropriate electrical energy equipment is selected for a given application. Finally, a simple case study is demonstrated to validate the proposed methodology and its potential applicability for real cases.

Employees in the company are the main resources required to be able to provide the best service and optimal performance. The selection of the best employees in a company is very important because it will determine the company's progress in the future. A home industry in East Kotawaringin Regency has 3 permanent employees. This Ramayana cracker business owner wants to know the best performance of his 3 employees, one of the effective ways in selecting employees is by implementing a decision support system and by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, we make this research to help business owners to their problem is solved. This study aims to complete practical decision making and have alternative choices for decision-makers, in order to choose the best employees in their home industry. The results of this study are aimed at home industry business owners in order to find out the best employees in this Ramayana home industry business.

The teacher is a major milestone in the world of education, the ability and achievement of students cannot be separated from the role of a teacher in teaching and guiding students. Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, in Article 1 explained that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, evaluating, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education and education medium. Whereas in Article 4 of the Act, it is explained that the position of teachers as professionals serves to enhance the dignity and role of teachers as learning agents to function to improve the quality of national education.Decision making is an election process, among various alternatives that aim to meet one or several targets. The decision-making system has 4 phases, namely intelligence, design, choice and implementation. These phases are the basis for decision making, which ends with a recommendation. The Preferences Selection Index (PSI) method is a rarely used decision support system method. This method is a method developed by stevanie and Bhatt (2010) to solve the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). With the right consideration, this method can be one of the tools to determine policies in decision-making systems, especially the selection of outstanding teachers. Determination of policies taken as a basis for decision making, must use criteria that can be defined clearly and objectively. Keywords: Decision Support System, PSI, Selection of Achieving Teachers

Decision problems are usually complex and involve evaluation of several conflicting criteria (parameters). Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a promising field that considers the parallel influence of all criteria and aims at helping decision makers in expressing their preferences, over a set of predefined alternatives, on the basis of criteria (parameters) that are contradictory in nature. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a useful and widespread MCDM tool for solving such type of problems, as it allows the incorporation of conflicting objectives and decision makers preferences in the decision making. The AHP utilizes the concept of pair wise comparison to find the order of criteria (parameters) and alternatives. The comparison in a pairwise manner becomes quite tedious and complex for problems having eight alternatives or more, thereby, limiting the application of AHP. This paper presents a soft hierarchical process approach based on soft set decision making which eliminates the least promising candidate alternatives and selects the optimum(potential) ones that results in the significant reduction in the number of pairwise comparisons necessary for the selection of the best alternative using AHP, giving the approach a more realistic view. A supplier selection problem is used to illustrate the proposed approach.

Evidence-based assessment relies on research and theory to inform the selection of constructs to be assessed for a specific assessment purpose, the methods and measures to be used in the assessment, and the manner in which the assessment process unfolds. An evidence-based approach to clinical assessment necessitates the recognition that, even when evidence-based instruments are used, the assessment process is a decision-making task in which hypotheses must be iteratively formulated and tested. In this chapter, we review (a) the progress that has been made in developing an evidence-based approach to clinical assessment in the past decade and (b) the many challenges that lie ahead if clinical assessment is to be truly evidence-based.

The aim of this article is to propose a multi-objective decision-making method for researching and solving multi-attribute heterogeneous group decision-making problems. This is in the case that the characters of the decision information and decision makers' preferences are heterogeneous, and the weight information is incomplete. In this method, the multi-objective decision-making model, which considers the alternatives decision relative closeness and the preference of heterogeneous degree of decision makers in the objective function, is put forward. In addition, this article uses the minimax method to derive the multi-objective decision-making model and obtain the attribute weights and decision makers weights, and then the optimal scheme is established. Finally, an illustrative example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Selection of a most appropriate material is a very important task in design process of every product. There is a need for simple, systematic, and logical methods or mathematical tools to guide decision makers in considering a number of selection attributes and their interrelations and in making right decisions. This paper proposes a novel multiple attribute decision making (MADM) method for solving the material selection problem. The method considers the objective weights of importance of the attributes as well as the subjective preferences of the decision maker to decide the integrated weights of importance of the attributes. Furthermore, the method uses fuzzy logic to convert the qualitative attributes into the quantitative attributes. Two examples are presented to illustrate the potential of the proposed method.
