The era of the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in people having to carry out activities by keeping their distance from one another in order to achieve the termination of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, this activity resulted in the government issuing a decree, especially to the education office to conduct online learning because schools and universities is one of the places that has great potential for easy transmission, online learning makes all students obliged to have a smartphone or android so that it makes it easier for students to access online learning, it is necessary to determine the best smartphone brand with the most purchase criteria, price, capacity owned by smartphone and year. output which will later become a literature review of students and parents of students to be more selective in choosing according to the wishes and needs of each user with the help of a decision support system and the application of the PSI method (Preference Selection Index). rence selection index), and the results obtained with the highest score on the xiaomi smartphone with the highest score of 0,327332, the assessment process is fairer and the decision-making process is fast.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the profiles of dental students at the ICT/CSJC-UNESP School of Dentistry and their preferred studying style preferences. Materials and methods: Data on age, sex, place of residence, first-choice course, secondary education background and study method preference were collected from an online questionnaire given in the second year dental materials course (first class) of the day and evening courses of the years 2016 to 2019. All data were tabulated and submitted to one-way ANOVA and to t test, both with ? = 0.05. Results: Most of the students were women living in São José dos Campos city who had chosen Dentistry as their first-choice course. Many were originally from other cities and lived in shared accommodation with friends. The majority stated that private high school was their main educational background. Conclusions: Although ICT/CSJC-UNESP students were from millennial and post-millennial generations, they preferred studying alone and in silence rather than studying in groups.

This study aimed to describe the implementation of microteaching activity by pre-service teachers in TEFL 2 class as well as to get an overview of the problems faced during microteaching so that they are able to improve the competence of teaching English later in both schools and other educational institutions. In this study, the method used was descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study were taken purposively by considering the achievement gained in previous subject namely in TEFL I class they reached the average value of 90 out of 100 with the number of subjects four (4) pre-service teachers. Data were collected through observation using video recording and field note as well as semi structured-interview. Aspects to be analyzed were methods used from opening, main, and closing activities by considering the characteristics of the method applied. The results of this study showed that Grammar Translation Method (GTM) and Audio-Lingual Method (ALM) became a method preference during the microteaching. Pre-service teachers showed no hesitation and well prepared in applying the methods. Translation activities, dialogue memorization, repetition technique, word pair technique, and game grammar technique were occurred. Problems faced were the gap between the theories and the practice of teaching methods such as lack of skills in facial and body expression, classroom management, and stresses with noises from classmates as the students.

Objective: We aimed to see if the Covid-19 pandemic effects the cesarean anaesthesia method preference and the hospitalization process. Methods: To eliminate seasonal differences, the files of 3320 patients who underwent the cesarean section between 2019-2020 March-September were examined. The patients were divided into two groups as those who had cesarean section between March-September 2019 before the pandemic (Group I, n: 1941) and those who had cesarean section after the pandemic (March-September 2020) (Group II, n: 1379). The demographic information of the patients, whether there was an emergency/elective surgery, anesthesia methods and duration of hospitalization were recorded from the hospital database. Results: ASA scores (p=0.049) and duration of hospitalization (p<0.001) were higher in Group I. Spinal anaesthesia preference was higher in both groups compared to general anaesthesia (p<0.001). Spinal anaesthesia preference was higher than general anaesthesia in emergency and elective operations in both groups (p<0.001). It was found that the PCR results of three emergency cesarean sections under spinal anesthesia were postoperatively positive. The number of patients operated on in all shifts was higher in Group I (p<0.001). Conclusion: During the COVID-19 pandemic period, spinal anaesthesia was preferred more frequently for cesareans compared to general anaesthesia as in the previous period.

In online shopping, product returns are very common. In order to reduce them, one must first understand who are making them and why are they being made. In this study, we aim to address these questions by examining product return behaviour from a consumer-centric rather than the more traditional product-centric, retailer-centric, and order-centric perspectives. More specifically, we focus on the effects of four demographic characteristics of consumers (i.e., gender, age, education, and income) as well as their payment method preference on their product return frequency and product return reasons. As the data, we use the responses from 560 Finnish online consumers, which were collected with an online survey and are analysed both quantitatively and qualitatively. We find gender, age, payment method preference, and average online shopping frequency to affect average product return frequency, whereas product return reasons were found to be affected by only gender and average product return frequency.

Different methods for determining the effect of added sugars intake among children and adults on meeting recommended nutrient intakes were compared using 24 h dietary recall data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011–2014. Four methods were used to determine deciles of added sugars intake (as the percentage of total calories): 1 day intake, 2 day average intake, and individual usual intake (UI) determined with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the multivariate Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods. Percentages of the population below the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) for calcium and vitamin D/above the Adequate Intake (AI) for potassium and dietary fiber for each decile of added sugars intake were assessed with the NCI method. Using regression analyses, added sugars intake deciles (by any method) in children were inversely associated (p < 0.001) with percentages below the EAR/above the AI of vitamin D, calcium, potassium, and fiber. In adults, added sugars intake deciles were inversely associated with meeting recommendations for vitamin D, potassium, and fiber. There were no significant between-method differences for regression coefficients for any nutrients investigated. Overall, these methods showed a similar association of added sugars intake with nutrient inadequacy/adequacy; therefore, method preference may depend more on practical reasons.

The article deals with account of material stock influence in a process of investment projects computer modelling in appraisal purpose. At the beginning of the article, the role of material stock in investment projects evaluation is stressed. The main part is focused on methods of including incoming stock and finished goods stock values to the investment projects financial models. Further development of the issue shows approaches of accounting methods (such as LIFO, FIFO, average and individual) applications while calculating value of material goods in stock. Authors give recommendation regarding average method preference due to other methods complexity.
