The review article provides literature data related to the history of differential diagnosis of retinoblastoma and lesions simulating retinoblastoma (pseudoretinoblastomas), provides a modern classification of pseudoretinoblastomas, describes clinical and diagnostic features that allow to differentiate these conditions. The analysis of Russian and foreign publications on main pseudoretinoblastomas requiring differential diagnosis with retinoblastoma in pediatric ophthalmological practice was carried out. Key words: ophthalmology, retinoblastoma, lesions simulating retinoblastoma, pseudoretinoblastomas, differential diagnosis.

Soils affected by tree-throw (arbroturbation) at three sites in Nova Scotia varied in development and microrelief characteristics. Soil horizonation was strongly developed and continuous through the mound-and-pit sequence at one site but was intermittent and irregular at the other two sites. Analytical data, particularly those for oxalate- and pyrophosphate-extractable Fe and Al reflected the morphological variations observed in the pedons. Classification of the arbroturbated soils according to the Canadian system is not a problem though it is necessary to indicate turbation by appending a phase to the soil class name at levels above the series. Mapping areas of such soils involves no change from regular procedures except in the description of the soil units. Hummocky microrelief due to arbroturbation presents some limitations in the use of land. Key words: Physical disturbance, classification, mapping, land use

The paper explores the kinds of restrictions on use of land resources, describes factors which affect on land use safety, the classification of risks that accompany economic use of land resources. Risks of land use were set in 8 blocks, each of them divided on 5 to 16 types of risks. Determination of the risk level of land use should be implemented as a series of steps - inventory of land, analytical and evaluative studies of risk prediction and visualization of the results and implementation of proposals aimed at reducing the risks of land use. Key words: land resources, land use risks, risk factors, risk management in land use.

Background: Efficacy of continuous intravenous proton- pump inhibitors (IV PPI) and hemoclips alone was proved, but data about combination of an application of endoscopy clips and intermittent IV PPI in Vietnam was still limited. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of endoscopy hemoclip combined with intermittent IV PPI in the patients of peptic ulcer bleeding. Patients and methods: 34 patients diagnosed as peptic ulcer bleeding, having Forrest classification of Ia, Ib, IIa and IIb, were enrolled. Esomeprazole was administered as 80 mg IV bolus followed by intermittent IV injection of 40 mg/8h during 72h. Results: Immediate hemostasis was achieved in all 34 patients. Only 1 patient (2.9%) had early rebleeding. No severe complications was found in this study. Conclusion: Combination of endoscopy hemoclips and intermittent PPI showed effective, safe in patients of peptic ulcer bleeding. Key words: Peptic ulcer bleeding, intermittent PPI, endoscopy hemoclip

The article is devoted doctrinal issues of environmental and economic effectiveness of use land in conditions of infringement of institutional transformations. The modern approaches to the definition of content of ecological and economic effectiveness of land use are analyzed. It is established that the overwhelming majority of domestic researchers interpret this notion regarding the use of agricultural land or farm land. It is proved that such an approach is justified, taking into account the structure of the land fund of Ukraine. However, this reduces other goals of the land user and functions of the land. It is proposed to investigate the category of ecological and economic effectiveness of land use in accordance with the provisions of the ecological economics, social welfare theory, and concept of total economic value. Based on the classification of land functions, the criteria of selection material content and social form of ecological and economic effectiveness of land use are determined.

Today, around 50 million people worldwide suffer from cataracts, more than a half of them need surgical treatment. High prevalence of this pathology in Ukraine, the need to improve the provision of ophthalmic care to patients, and the reform of the health care system have made the research relevant. Concomitant diseases and special conditions of the eye increase the risk of intra− and postoperative complications, worsen the functional parameters of patients after surgery. In order to develop a unified approach to the treatment of complicated cataracts based on diagnostically related groups of patients, a retrospective analysis of case histories of patients with different variants of complications related to the condition of the lens itself, its ligament apparatus and other structures of the eye was conducted. In each case, the surgeon has to choose the appropriate modification of cataract phacoemulsification surgery. The study proposed the classification of cataract phacoemulsification modifications on the basis of the techniques and the sequence of operation stages, taking into account the classification of the degrees of turbidity of the lens, proposed by L. Buratto. It has been noted that in complicated cases, according to the indications of the patient, surgery may be performed on several modifications of cataract phacoemulsification. The developed classification made it possible to generalize the various variants of pathology and greatly facilitate the choice of tactics of surgical treatment in complicated cataracts. It can be used not only for practical application, but also for improving the qualification of trained professionals. The prospect of further research is to identify contraindications for outpatient treatment of the patients with complicated cataracts. Key words: cataract complication, classification of phacoemulsification modifications, diagnostically related groups.
